Just Friends?
Description
Kang Seulgi and Bae Joohyun have been inseparable ever since they ran into each other at a pride parade way back from their junior years. Seulgi, being shy and awkward with everyone and Joohyun being the confident and graceful one and not to mention, breathtakingly gorgeous. Both lived their own different worlds once, but not when Seulgi makes it her mission to protect the older, and Joohyun making her promise not to leave her until they grew old and gray. Hence, it's always Seulgi and Joohyun to everyone; inseparable as it is. However, Seulgi, unbeknownst to Joohyun, also promises to love her and only her. It should be simple as Joohyun clearly knows what she wants; she wants to love and be loved. On the other hand, Seulgi definitely knows what she wants as well; she wants Joohyun to be happy, regardless.
But it's not that easy of course... when Joohyun kept on searching and praying for the wrong person.
Foreword
The glass door swung open, revealing a dark-haired goddess wearing a red dress that hugs her body perfectly. Just as fast, everyone's eyes were on her. Everyone around simply got enamoured by her presence alone. It should be forbidden for her to wear anything 'red', though honestly, anything she wears makes her look ethereal. Her eyes search the crowd while I was there behind the bar silently hoping she would find me first, though I'm quite hidden behind the crowd. Loose hope, absolutely.
"Earth to Kang Seulgi."
A voice startled me, almost making the glass on my hand slip from my grip.
"What?"
The intruder gave me a knowing look. "You sure you're only friends?"
"Yeah, I told you we're best friends." I answered, sure of myself. My eyes went back to the goddess I called my best friend for years now.
Then like a cliché scene from a romantic film, our eyes locked, and instantly I smiled. She found me. Like always.
"Just friends, huh?" I heard someone asked behind me again. But my eyes are still glued to Joohyun.
"Yeah." I sighed. "Just friends."
