Present Day (SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, 2019)

Returning to her hometown, Yoona felt a surge of positivity. Fresh from a triumphant European business trip, she had won the trust of investors for Jung Corp's Company. Under Jessica Jung's father, Andre Jung's ownership, Yoona had climbed to become the company's president, a role that brought her immense joy. She'd made choices to get here, choices she might not have made initially, but she felt no remorse as she saw the success of her actions.

In her way stood Tyler Kwon, a wealthy businessman and a long-time rival. Tyler had served Chairman Jung for decades. But it was Yoona who had caught Chairman Jung's attention, besting Tyler for the first time.

"Congratulations, President Lim."

With a smile to the board members, Yoona shook hands with each one. She paused in front of a young man in a tuxedo, his hand outstretched.

"Aren't you going to shake my hand?"

A smirk played on Yoona's lips, her amusement clear as she noticed his clenched jaw.

"I'd rather not have the stench linger, Mr. Kwon. So, no."

Unfazed, Tyler's intense gaze met Yoona's steady one. She was the first to leave after Chairman Jung nodded in approval.

"Wait outside, I'll join you shortly. Just need to use the restroom."

Kwon Yuri, Yoona's assistant, acknowledged with a nod. In the bathroom, Yoona lathered her hands with soap, "I let those shark monsters shake my hand and smile at me. Disgusting motherers."

Yoona's gratitude for Chairman Jung was boundless. His intervention, along with his daughter Jessica's, had rescued her from potential destitution.

"Live in my house."

Startled, Yoona blinked at Chairman Jung, her gaze narrowing. "Pardon?"

"Come reside in my home, with Jessica. Your potential is clear, and I believe we can aid each other. You can contribute greatly to my company, and I extend this offer genuinely."

"Isn't this arrangement excessive, sir?"

Chairman Jung's paternal smile eased her worries, drawing her closer to him. "It's a mutually beneficial arrangement. You'll work for my company, earning your own income. I'll take on the role of your guardian."

Sipping her coffee, Yoona pondered her response. The weight of the decision loomed, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"I admire your strength in escaping an abusive father. If you hadn't, you wouldn't be here now. I'll be honest—I'm not immune to prejudices, but seeing you with Jessica, I can sense something special."

A chuckle escaped Yoona's lips as she smiled at him. "Sir, what about Mr. Kwon? Are you okay with the divorce?"

Chairman Jung's eyes held warmth as he regarded her. "While he's a good man, Jessica has the right to choose her path. She chose you. Even back in her college days, you were her constant topic. It's clear she loves you and you've brought out the best in her. Your relationship is private, especially given her industry. Trust doesn't come easily to me, Yoona, but I trust you. So, will you accept?"

Confidently nodding, Yoona's smile radiated. "I will work tirelessly to elevate the company, sir."

With Yuri, her assistant, at her side, Yoona walked through the airport.

"Ms. Lim? Ms. Jessica wants you to answer the call."

Yoona retrieved her phone, ready to dial Jessica's number, only for the phone to ring—the call was from Jessica.

"I TOLD YOU TO CALL ME WHEN YOU LAND. YOONG, YOUR ATTITUDE IS INFURIATING! You've been away for a month, leaving me heartbroken. My mood's been off, affecting my work. Is that how you support me? Speak up!"

"Remember, once an article links you to a woman, your acting career will suffer. You're clever, Jessica, you should understand."

Opening the car door for Yoona, Yuri took the driver's seat.

"I know. If I could shout to the world that you're mine, I would. I've missed you, and Dad's been longing for you. Get over here, so I can smother you with love."

Yoona's smile grew. "Missed you too, Jessica. What's the feast you've prepared? I'm starving."

"I've made a mountain of sushi rolls, your favorite. If you're famished, instruct your driver to speed up. I'm waiting, Yoong. I've missed you terribly."

"Alright, hang on a bit. I'll be there in a few hours."

"I love you."

"Ne, I'll hang up now."

Yoona leaned back, savoring the moment. Memories of her initial encounter with Jessica flooded her mind.

Flashback (2007) 13 years ago...

"Congrats, Yoong!"

Yoona's team had just won a soccer match against another team, and Coach Park was taken aback by the multitude of fans cheering for Yoona. Many had come to watch the game solely because Yoona was playing. She had a substantial fan base of both boys and girls, yet she wasn't particularly fond of the attention. Relationships weren't her forte, dating was far from her interests.

In school, Yoona embodied the term "goddess." Her beauty and intelligence, along with a keen sense of style, attracted admiration. She was favored by teachers due to her exceptional grades and often displayed maturity beyond her years, lending her an alluring charm despite her high school status. Even college students couldn't help but be captivated by her, including the renowned cheerleader, Jessica Jung.

Jessica, a straight arrow, had never been inclined toward same- attraction. But, inexplicably, she found herself enamored by a high school student, Yoona Lim. There was a quality in the way Yoona looked at her that left Jessica blushing ceaselessly.

"Jessi, Yoona's staring at you."

Jessica turned towards Yoona, who sat in the bleachers, her gaze directed at Jessica. The sight brought a shy smile to Jessica's lips as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, prompting her friends to giggle at her adorable reaction. Little did they know that someone like Yoona would shatter Jessica's well-built emotional walls. For years, Jessica's trust had been challenging to earn, and now, she was head over heels for Yoona, the high school soccer player.

"Do you think she's interested in girls?"

"Come on, she rejected all those jocks constantly. She must be into girls."

"I don't know how to approach her. I feel like she'll breathe fire if I disturb her." Jessica voiced her concerns, her expression a mix of worry and determination as she continued to glance at Yoona.

"You should throw a party at your house, invite her! Let's wait for her class to finish so we could talk to her, but for now, let's head to our class."

"What's our class now?"

"Politics."

Upon hearing that, Jessica let out a groan. "Ugh, I hate politics. But since it's Yoong's favorite subject, I'll try to learn what caught her interest."

"Yoong? Wow, Jess! You've already got a nickname for her."

Jessica blushed again, feeling a mix of embarrassment and affection. "Oh, come on! Let's focus on planning how we're going to invite her to the party."

After their class ended, Jessica and her friends waited outside Yoona's classroom, eagerly anticipating her exit.

"Is she out yet?" One of her friends asked the flustered male student who seemed surprised by the presence of the famous cheerleaders.

"It's alright, we understand how you feel. Many high school students react this way when we're around." Jessica's friend reassured him, and they all shared a chuckle.

"The teacher is just wrapping up a discussion with her. She should be coming out soon, Sunbae," he explained, bowing slightly before leaving with a flustered demeanor.

"Ahh, teenagers these day."

"Hey, why aren't you talking? You're our leader, but I seem to be the spokesperson right now."

Jessica was visibly anxious, fidgeting with her hands and unable to contain her nervousness as her gaze remained fixed on the classroom door. "I'm so nervous right now."

Her friends exchanged amused glances before urging her to gather her courage.

"Here she comes, here she comes. Get ready, Jessi."

The pressure became too much for Jessica to handle. Overwhelmed by her nerves, she was about to flee when her friends stopped her.

"Hey, are you going to chicken out and miss this great opportunity? Come on, just this once."

"I don't think I can face her. Why don't you all talk to her instead?"

"I heard you were looking for me." Yoona's voice interrupted Jessica's internal struggle. Startled, she pulled her friends' hands away from her shirt.

Clearing and taking a moment to regain her composure, Jessica slowly turned around to face Yoona, her eyes scanning the soccer player's figure. As she found herself in closer proximity to Yoona, a rush of emotions overcame her, something she hadn't experienced even with her previous relationships.

"Our leader, Jessi, has something to say," one of Jessica's friends announced, nudging her forward.

Yoona's gaze was fixed on Jessica, and she could sense the nervousness radiating from the college student. "What is it, Jessica Sunbae?

Yoona's use of her name caused Jessica's heart to flutter, leaving her slightly giddy.

"I-I...I'm hosting a party this Saturday night, and I wanted to invite you. You can bring your friends along, and I won't mind. Please come to my party!"

Jessica's words tumbled out with a mixture of excitement and desperation. She hadn't intended to sound so fervent, but her eagerness to have Yoona attend her party was evident.

Yoona playfully pursed her lips, and Jessica couldn't help but be captivated by her adorable expression.

"I'm sorry, but I don't think I can make it."

The disappointment that swept over Jessica was palpable. "W-What? Why not?"

"I'm not really into parties. I prefer staying home and watching TV."

"Please! I really want you to come and see you there. P-Please, I'm begging you to come to the party this Saturday."

Yoona appeared on the brink of declining once more when Jessica took a confident step forward, surprising everyone around them. Placing her hand nervously on Yoona's arm, Jessica looked into her eyes, her voice quivering as she spoke.

"Please. I'll be waiting, and it would make me really sad if you didn't show up."

Jessica's next action left everyone dumbfounded—she leaned in and placed a kiss on Yoona's cheek before swiftly walking away.

"You should come. It means a lot to her," one of the cheerleaders encouraged Yoona, waving goodbye as they left.

Yoona watched the scene with a mixture of confusion and curiosity, shaking her head before heading back to the field for her practice

On Saturday, Jessica eagerly awaited Yoona's arrival at her party, but as time passed, there was no sign of her.

"Cheer up! Who knows, she might be on her way," one of her friends tried to console her.

Jessica sighed, nursing her boredom with a beer while watching college students dance in the midst of her house. "I've been waiting for three hours. I don't think she'll come."

Her friends exchanged glances, understanding her disappointment as they watched Jessica sulk.

Suddenly, a snippet of gossip reached their ears, sparking hope in the air.

"What's wrong?"

"Word is, high school soccer player Yoona Lim is outside the house."

Jessica jumped up, her heart racing. She hastily fixed her hair and took a deep breath before opening the front door.

"Hi."

There stood Yoona in skinny black jeans, a white shirt under a black leather jacket. Jessica couldn't help but notice the band-aid on Yoona's lip.

"Are you okay? What happened to your lip?" Jessica's worry was palpable as she gently guided Yoona inside.

Her friends couldn't help but whistle, witnessing the scene unfold.

"I thought you weren't coming," Jessica pouted, leading Yoona upstairs, unaware of her friends' smirks.

"Would you have been sad if I didn't stop by?"

Jessica nodded cutely, leading Yoona into her room.

"Why are we
