Research for Mystery Novel:

I already wrote here about the disappearances and Granny's views of the matter. So I researched about paranormal stuff connected to leap year.

•Chuang-Mu: Goddess of Bedchambers who joined the demons in liberation after divorce with Chuang-Kong. She shows up in the physical world every leap days of the leap year  to abduct a man. She would bring them to hell with her and drain their chakra.

•Feb 29 is a special day for it only occurs once every 4 years. It's common for paranormal stuff to occur on this day because energy of spirits are heightened by 4x, making up for the past years it's not in the calendar
