Jung Jessica, in spite of her will of iron she had carefully forged since little, grimaces as the pungent smell of burning flesh burns at her nostrills; she regrets having doused herself in copious amounts of perfume, the extra expensive one from that one super luxurious store in town, before coming here, but it's entirely too late to do anything about that. Instead, she averts her eyes to steal a glance at Bae Irene, not knowing exactly what to expect. She isn't surprised to find the woman's expression unchanged behind her Gucci sunglasses, bright red lips pursed with what Jessica can only assume is an exasperation familiar only to siblings.

It is, after all, Irene's sister being thoroughly BBQ-ed before them.

Jessica's sure the convenent's manual doesn't have a section dedicated to this sort of situation, and, needless to say, Jessica is possitively poorly prepared to react in such an..odd? uncomfortable? tragic? situation.

"You alright?" Jessica settles on asking tentatively, careful not to let even a drop of pity, or sympathy, or any sort of normal human emotion seep into her question. She's sure Irene wouldn't appreciate that very much.

Irene raises an eyebrow, the most expression she's shown since they've arrived here. "Yes. Why wouldn't I be?"

Jessica is holding back her incredulous gasp. She does open and closes rendered silent, in the end. What is the appropriate response to that ?

Irene sighs, annoyed, though without malice. "This is hardly a surprise. I didn't expect her to go out exactly like this," Irene gestures to the stake still burning, "but it certainly was up there on the list." A pause, before Irene starts patting the pockets of her silk overcoat. "That reminds me..." She seems to have found what she was looking for, as she pulls out a thin sheet of paper, with a tiny pen attached to one of the corners. She stares at whatever is on it for a second, before taking the pen and circling something on it with a satisfied smile stretching across her lips. "Bingo. That makes me the winner, I guess."

Jessica looks at Irene, void of any tell-tall expression on her face, refraining from demanding an explanation. From the quick glance she stole at the paper, Jessica is 80% certain it is some morbid bingo game she came up with regarding her sister, probably with Insuk's help. Strange, and creepy as that is, it's not that shocking coming from the Bae sisters.

She's learned fairly early on that when it comes to them, it's easier, as well as less stressful, to disable ancient y-traps, than to try to make even a of sense of whatever's going on inside that messed up head of theirs, and that's facts, baby.

december isn't quite a walk in the park for me, and it's easily one of the hardest months to go through. the recent developments in the kpop industry hasn't exactly helped much with that. i am certainly not planning on dropping any of my current stories.
