King's Blood
Description
After the death of his father, Jeongin becomes the king that nobody wanted. He is seen as arrogant and inexperienced with no compassion for anyone but himself. When an assassination attempt is made on his life, he learns that there is more to him then he'd ever imagined.

The Three Races.
Humans.
- Humans are the dominant race of the three. You would think with the powers of the other two races that they'd be on bottom, but that isn't the case here. The human race is like a poison. They keep taking and taking without ever giving in. Since the time the races first started their war against each other, the humans began to grossly outnumber the elves and demons. By diligently searching for effective ways of eradicating their enemies, they managed to reigns supreme. Now they reside in the kingdom of Sarendale with little intentions of losing power anytime soon.
Elves.
- The elves are the second most powerful race. But these elves aren't your average beautiful creatures from most fairytales. They are actually far more dark, with cloudy white eyes, sickly pale skin, and the occasional thirst for blood. Like sirens, they appear breathtakingly gorgeous, but that is just a way to draw in their pray. Most elves can manipulate the element of ice, hence the snowy mountain side they take residence on. Fire is their greatest weakness, as well as special crystals the humans developed call "Elven crystals" or "Emberlings" that burn the skin when in contact and can also cause a reaction deep within their core.
Demons.
- The demons are the lowest of the low on the hierarchy. They come in all shapes and sizes and can be found in the darkest of places. The term “demons” covers a broad spectrum of mythical species that can range from werewolves, to ogres, to goblins and so on. True demons are the most distinguishable of the demon name. They have a human-like appearance, but are easily recognized by their red eyes, and unique abilities. The other, most prominent feature of a demon is their markings. A demon’s markings are tattoos or tribal-like designs permanently drawn on their skin since birth to determine what species of demon they are. Since there is such a wide variety of demons, each species has unique markings exclusive to their kind. They have the potential to take over all the lands, but are missing one thing: The Key. (will be ferther explained in 'Terms' belows)

"If he is this so called key—" Minho emphasized as he circled the young boy with his hand lightly dragging along his shoulder, "—then how about we just kill him now and rid him of his burden?" He pressed the cold metal of his dagger against Jeongin's throat with a grin.

"So you're planning on searching for Heaven's gate?" Minho said slowly to fully grasp the situation at hand. "That place that doesn't exist?" There was an underlining stem of sarcasm in the tone of his voice.
"Hey. You didn't believe Hell's gate was real, but look where we are now. We've got the key to the door and everything. I'd say that's enough to assume Heaven's gate is also one hundred percent real."

"Hey, would you believe me if I told you I could breathe fire?"
"Really?!" Felix's eyes nearly bulged out of his head in awe.
"Stop that! Leave him alone!" Changbin grumbled, snatching Felix's hand and leading him away from Minho's nonsense.

“So cursed boy, what part of you did you have to sell off to gain such a powerful ability? Must have cost at least an arm and a leg?”
Changbin grabbed his collar and pulled it down to reveal the markings at the center of his chest.
“Really?! Your heart? Doesn't that mean you’ll die once your goal in met?”
“If he doesn’t get himself killed before then.”
“That’s fine, and I won’t die before. I will not, I won’t allow it. The only thing keeping me alive right now is my hatred for those elves. When I kill them, I’ll gladly be taken by this curse.”

“A single woman? One woman, amongst an entire legion of fighting soldiers, managed to cut off the enemy's main source of power?” He questioned, skeptical of what was being described to him.
“Yes.”
Jeongin stared at him. There was no sign of doubt in the demon’s voice. ”ok then, how?”
“He fell in love with her.”
“Love?” He snorted, “Yeah, right. Because love solves everything, doesn’t it?”

Terms.
Few important terms to help familiarize you with.
The Key.
-The key was a magical object that allowed all of hell to roam loose across the world. During the first great war, one demon betrayed the realm of hell and stole the key away. That key cut off hell from the world and gave that demon an immense amount of power. The only thing that stopped said demon from destroying everything, was a woman. A single woman managed to tame the demon and the power of the key disappeared along with them. Now, years and years later, Jeongin is born as a direct descendant of the two with the power of the key coursing through his veins. His blood alone can boost a demon's abilities, and give new passage to the underworld.
Contracted Demon.
-A contracted demon is a demon that holds a contract with a human, and human only. The contract commonly consists of the human joining the demon in a partnership, or solely for protection. Only one contract can be held at a time, and it can only be terminated once either of the two dies. The contractees are bound together by an invisible chain, and neither of them can physically kill the other. If the human dies, the demon receives his/her soul. If the demon dies first, then the human is free.
Cursed.
-A human who requires supernatural powers or abilities by means of black magic for a specific purpose. Curses do not work unless the human requesting it promises something of their own. Someone who is cursed bares a curse mark somewhere on their body depending on the type of curse. Curses only last until the human’s goal/objective is completed. Once completed, the curse will claim what was promised to it. A curse is typically given by certain species of demons, witches, or acquired through dark text.
Blessed Being.
-A creature or human that is born with special abilities, and are not demons.
Icefire.
-A blue flame that elves can touch or manipulate. Real fire is lethal to elves and their icy skin, but icefire is cold to their touch, but scorching hot to the contact of any other being.
Emberlings.
-Special fire gems created by humans that can severely damage an elf. They are also used to keep people warm in the cold.
Pathfinder.
-A blessed being born with the ability to manipulate light. They can conjure up a special beam of light that can guide them on the path to the Devine gates.
The Devine Gates.
-The general term for Heaven and Hell’s gates. Hell’s gate is the main source of all demonic power, and Heaven’s gate is said to be a paradise where The Key can be protected for a lifetime. (Not going to go into too much detail with this one or things will be spoiled!)

This is my second story on AFF (even though i'm still working on another...). This one is all about Stray Kids!!! YYAAAAYY!
You have no idea how long it has taken me to finally start posting this!! I've rewritten the first couple of chapters over and over again, but I think I'm just going to settle and let my story be told. Its about TIME.
Also, I might be a whee bit slow with putting chapters up because im trying to juggle a job and college, so I have a busy schedule. merp.
