Irene, Ryujin and Jennie reached Korea, and Jennie arranged for her driver to pick them up at the airport. Irene wanted to directly go to meet Yeri but Jennie said it is better if they get some rest first because they had been rushing all day. Irene reluctant but after a few persuasion she agreed. Jennie call up Taeyeon and asked her older cousin to meet her at Wendy’s place. Jennie thought it is better if they just set the meet up at Wendy’s place because she is afraid if she set up the meeting at her place, her mother would question her about Irene.

 

Wendy’s Apartment

Irene move her stuff to Wendy’s house so Jennie and Ryujin can rest in her room. She offered to make some drinks for them but Ryujin rejected and asked Irene to rest and let her do all the work. Irene went to the living room and sat on the couch. She the TV to watch some news and Yeri’s case was on the TV. Irene turn up the volume and pay her full attention to the news.

“Kim Yerim case is still in proceeding as she denied all the charges. An insider told the authorities that it may be the work of sabotage from antis who wanted to see her career damage.”

Jennie took the remote and turn off the TV “Unnie don’t make yourself sad watching this news, we all know that Yerimie won’t do such thing.”

“I know Jennie, I know, but it makes me sad that Yeri is being treated this way, they could treat her better and not like this.”

Jennie was about to reply Irene, but her phone rings. She picked up the call and it was Alice Park.

“Jennie! My sister told me you are back in Seoul!”

“Yes, Alice…may I know why are you calling me?”

“I manage to get an evidence that may help Yeri to defend herself. May I know where you are? Let’s meet up.”

“I’m at Wendy’s house, I will send you the location.”

“Alright, I’m heading out now from my office. See you there.” Alice end the call.

Jennie excitedly look at Irene “Unnie!” she call for the older girl’s attention. “Chaeyoung’s older sister just called me and told me that she got an evidence that may help Yeri to prove her innocence!”

“Really?!”

“Yes! She’s coming by the way!”

“Oh thank God!!” Irene sighed and she holds on to her chest to calm her heart.

Ryujin came out from the kitchen with their drinks, she handed them their drinks and asked the two girls what just happened because they seems so happy. Jennie explain to Ryujin what happened and Ryujin just nod. They seated on the couch silently, everyone was busy on their phone. The bell rings made the three of them gaze on the door, Ryujin offered herself to go check on the monitor. She walked toward the monitor and turn on the speaker “Who is it?” she asked.

“Kim Taeyeon.” The person replied.

“Unnie, a person name Kim Taeyeon is here, anyone that you know?” Ryujin shouted from the main door.

“Let her in, Ryujin-ah!” Jennie voice can be heard from the living room. Ryujin pressed the unlocked button and the door unlocked by itself and Ryujin let Taeyeon in. She leads Taeyeon to the living room. Irene saw her older cousin, she immediately get up from her spot and hug Taeyeon. They both cried a little at the reunion. Taeyeon missed her cousin so much, she feels like she had failed her when she couldn’t be there for her when Seulgi left her.

“I missed you…” Taeyeon sobbed.

“I miss you too unnie…” Irene smiled at her older cousin.

Jennie was touched on the side, she used to be so close with her cousins but when Irene ran away from the palace, her mother forbidden her from mingle too much with her cousins and they only meet when they have official event. She was the only child, Taeyeon, Irene and Yeri was like her sisters. She is happy that they could reunite although the circumstance wasn’t ideal for a reunion.

“Where have you been, you know I was worry sick about you.”

“I’m sorry unnie, after what happened I really didn’t want to be a nuisance to you or anyone else.”

“But Jennie is here…you can tell Jennie but not me?” Taeyeon sulked.

“Oh no unnie, the funny thing is…I didn’t know it until my friend brought her to my boutique. I wanted to tell you but Irene unnie told me to keep it a secret from everyone else.” Jennie explained.

Taeyeon only sigh and then Ryujin caught her eyes “Is this the girl that Yeri tell me about?”

“What girl?”

“Yeri told me that you had move on from Seulgi and got yourself a new lover, is this her?”

Irene blushed for a while when Taeyeon mentioned about the word ‘lover’, Ryujin only smirked by the side. Irene shyly shake her head “No unnie, she isn’t. That’s Ryujin. Shin Ryujin.”

“Here’s her picture!” Jennie was eager to show Taeyeon Wendy’s picture. Irene tried to stop Jennie but she was too late, because Taeyeon grabbed Jennie’s phone and look at Wendy’s photo. 

“Not bad Joohyun, well she is not Seulgi but she is cute. What’s her name?”

“Wendy Son Seungwan…” Irene introduced.

“Wendy huh…” Taeyeon smiles, she knows her cousin is madly in love with this lady because Irene never smiles like that when she talk about Seulgi.

“I’m gonna go make a drink for you, tea or coffee?” Ryujin asked with a pout on her face. Despite that she knows she got no chance with Irene, but she still feel jealous once in a while whenever Irene mentioned Wendy’s name.

“Coffee, thanks.” Taeyeon thanked Ryujin and Ryujin went to the kitchen to make some.

Taeyeon scanned the whole house and she quite impress by the decoration and the spacing of the apartment. Despite only having 2 rooms, it’s still a spacious place with a spacious balcony.

The doorbell rings again and this time it was Jennie who went to check on the monitor and she saw Alice. She opened the door for Alice and led her to the living room. Although that she and Wendy know each other but Alice never been to Wendy’s place before.

Alice excuses herself and enter the living room, she was stunned when she saw that Taeyeon was there. Alice pulled Jennie to the side “Why is she here?”

“She’s my cousin.”

“I know she is your cousin but, if people know that she is here and I am here, they will think that I breached the contract where, as the prosecutor I cannot meet or mingle with the defendant’s family member!”

“Chill Alice, no one will know about it.”

“Alice Park?” Taeyeon noticed the lawyer standing by the living room entrance.

“Nice to see you here Ms Kim…” Alice greeted.

“What is this lawyer doing here?!” Taeyeon asked angrily.

“Relax unnie, she’s here to help us.” Irene tried to calm her older cousin.

Taeyeon relax and she seated herself down on the couch, arms crossed and legs crossed. Alice was a bit scare of Taeyeon, she fidgeted when she seated herself on the couch opposite Taeyeon. Ryujin came out with two cup of coffee and handed it to Taeyeon and Alice.

“I didn’t request for any drink…” Alice was perplexed when Ryujin handed her coffee.

“I made it so that I won’t have to go in and make it again.” Ryujin shrugged.

Alice politely accept the drink and give it one shot. “Sorry I was nervous!” 

Alice caught a glimpse of Irene and wide opened, she stood up and bow for 90 degree at her “Your highness! Sorry for my rudeness!”

Irene laugh at Alice, there is no doubt that she is Rosé sister, both sisters are so bubbly. 

“We’re not in the palace, you don’t have to call me princess, and beside I’m off of my princess duty for a year. Just call me Irene.”

Alice let out her breath and sit back “Well I mean I never meet any of the royal before so this is a first for me.”

“It’s okay Alice is it? Rosé told me a lot about you. Nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you too. I’ve been dying to meet you but I’m too busy and…”

Jennie clear to get Alice stop rambling nonsense. Alice apologized and she took out a USB flash drive from her bag. She handed it to Jennie and then she took her laptop and turn it on.

“What’s in the flash drive?” Irene asked.

“It’s the CCTV footage that I gather from all the places that Yeri had been for the past few weeks and I found something interesting.”

She type in her password and took the flash drive from Jennie, she connect it in and open the content. She play the video footage and show it to the rest.

In the video can be seen two figures wearing mask, cap and gloves entering the RV changing room. Alice fast forward the video and then they see the two figures hurriedly exited the room. Alice paused the video and turn to Jennie “You see that Jen? They enter the room with a plastic bag but when they got out the bag is gone!”

“This is a huge finding Alice!!”

“I know, that is why I have to hand this footage to you, before the prosecutors get their hand on it and it may be deleted forever.”

“Why are you helping us?” Taeyeon asked.

Alice only smiles and slick her hair back “Because I stand with what is right, and clearly, someone tried to frame Yeri, I don’t know what they gain from it, but justice must be serve. Give it to your lawyer Ms. Kim.”

“But Alice…if the lawyer association find out about this, you will probably get your reputation…”

“Reputation is not everything Irene-shi…I used to admired my father, he was the reason I wanted to become a lawyer myself, but after I become one, I realized how rotten this world is. So screw it! Go save Yeri!” Alice put up her thumb.

Taeyeon thanked the lawyer and she excused herself to see her lawyer. She bid Jennie and Irene good bye, she kissed them on the cheeks and then left. Alice remained there for a while and she talked about how she is trying to make the same marriage law legal in Korea. Irene told her that she will give her the full support when she get back to the palace and resume her job as the princess. Alice inquired Irene about why she left the palace in the first place. Ryujin wanted Alice to stop pestering Irene about Irene’s past, but the older girl said that it is okay and she told Alice everything.

After finish listening to Irene’s past, Alice cried non-stop and she finished a whole box of tissue. Ryujin picked up the scattered used tissue with disgusted look and throw it in the bin. Jennie decided to go back to her own house to talk to her mother regarding Yeri’s case. Irene permitted her and then Alice followed saying that she need to get her paperwork done. The house felt empty with only Ryujin and Irene left.

“Unnie…”

“Yes Ryujin ah?”

“If…you go back to the palace…does that mean you won’t meet us anymore? You won’t be with Wendy unnie anymore?” Ryujin questioned.

Irene had thought about it before, she is scared of that day. She knows that she’s the next in line for the throne if her father is crown as the king next year. She and Wendy had the talk before. Wendy told her to not think about it too much, if that day does come, Wendy will fight for her, and she promised Wendy that she will fight for her too.

“I don’t know Ryujin…but I know I want to stay here with Wendy, with all of you. You are like my family already.”

 

Toronto

“You are leaving right after you being appointed as the new leader of the Mafia Family?” Lisa questioned Wendy decision to fly back to Korea the moment she reached home.

“You don’t understand Lisa, why Naeun being free now, I don’t know where she is, it is dangerous to let Irene or Jennie or Ryujin alone! Naeun know all of you! I don’t know who is her next target in order for her to threatened me.” Wendy explained as she throw her luggage in the trunk of the car.

“Well Ryujin is with her, I believe she will take care of Irene and Jennie.” Rosé said as she put on her luggage into the car trunk too.

“Ryujin is just a 16 years old kid, I don’t want to get her exposed to all of these mess! These kids!” Wendy pointed at the Itzy “They shouldn’t be here in the first place, it was all my fault that they had to witness such scene…”

The Itzy kids were scare of Wendy when she raises her voice toward the other adults.

“Hey hey!” Jisoo calmed the older girl “Relax Wendy…we all in this together Wendy! We are your family now okay? Don’t keep blaming yourself for what happen. Yes these kids shouldn’t see Henry’s dead body but it was not in our planning Wendy. Everything happen for a reason, the moment that we know you are a Mafia’s daughter we know what we get ourselves into.”

“We did?” Lisa blurted out which earn her a glare from Jisoo.

“Ryujin maybe just a 16 years old kid, but she witness more violence than you did, unnie.” Yuna interfere.

“She’s a Yakuza’s granddaughter anyway.” Yeji justified

“We’ve seen her beating bullies back in school.” Chaeryoung added on.

Wendy’s eyes almost bulged out listening to what the kids said “Okay, the first thing I’m gonna do once we reach Incheon is to get you all go to a therapist!”

 

Seoul

“I don’t think we should do this Seulgi!” Joy protested.

“We’ve already went this far and you tell me that we have to stop now?” Seulgi asked angrily.

“We’ve put Yeri in such state! Even our career is in danger…RV is in the verge of breaking because we put Yeri through all those! Yeri was a sweet girl, yes you two fight all the time but she never did us any wrong!”

“Shut up!” Seulgi scolded Joy “I’m sorry I raised my voice at you Joy…we will fix this…”

“How?!” Joy cried.

“I will help…” a girl in a cap greeted them.

“You are?” Joy raised an eyebrow.

“Son Naeun…Wendy’s sister.”

“Wendy had a sister?” Joy look at Naeun suspiciously.

“Half sister actually…I will help you two win back Irene and Wendy, if you help me.”

 

 

 

The Next Day

Wendy and the rest arrived in Korea, they are tired. Wendy arranged for transport for the girls to get home safely. She bid them good bye and then she took the taxi to go back to her apartment. Once she reach the her apartment. She enter it and saw that Irene and Ryujin were asleep on the couch with the TV on. She smiles and she slowly approached them, she brush away a strand of Irene’s hair and it made the girl to awake.

Irene open her eyes and saw Wendy looking back at her smiling. Irene lunged toward Wendy and kissed her. Wendy was surprised and they both fell on the ground, lips still intact to each other.

“Wow wow, what was that?” Wendy asked in whisper because she’s afraid that she might wake Ryujin up.

“I miss you…” Irene buried her face in the crook of Wendy’s neck sniffling her scents that she missed.

Wendy laughed “We’re only being apart for a day, and you got some explaining to do, why did you leave without telling me?”

Irene look up to Wendy and she rested her chin on Wendy’s chest “I didn’t want to make you worry, you got a lot to handle…”

Wendy kissed Irene on the forehead “Nothing in this world can stop me from be by your side…I love you.”

They were about to kiss again when they heard a snort coming from the couch. They look over and saw that Ryujin were watching them.

“This must be how it felt like to watch your parents being sweet to each other huh.” Ryujin made a disgusted face at Wendy.

“Yah brat, when did you wake up huh?!”

“Since you two were too busy eating each face.”

Irene was embarrassed and she buried her face in Wendy’s chest, Wendy laugh and she hugged Irene. “Alright girls, let’s go get breakfast, I’m hungry!”
