When you have stopped feeling the emotions of a human being.
It's not because your an alien nor vampire but because of the painful past you have witnessed.
The story will revolve with the life of the 9 ladies with their own stories.

At a young age she already understand her parents situation. Their juvenile and having a child in this stage of their life is a great regret and mess for them. They don't know how to handle a relationship and family.
