***Jina’s POV****

I work as a part-time waitress in Happy Cafe, a couple of blocks away from our house.

It’s like my second home, I spent most of my time here even when I’m not working.

The name of the cafe itself, just describes what I feel whenever I’m here.

I love seeing people smile, even simple laughter makes my day.

I’m also blessed to have a friend like Kim Yong Sun.

Just like her nickname, Solar, she’s so full of life that brings out happiness and positivity.

I’m an introvert and she’s extrovert total opposites but we’re still a pair of goofballs.

We don’t have secrets between us, that’s why she knows about my family.

And I’m very thankful that she still accepted me, even knowing my condition.

Going back to the cafe, we’re currently having a busy afternoon.

YS: Jinnie, can you refill the coffee at table 2? My feet are killing me.

J: Okay, switch with me then... I’ll do the serving instead.

YS: You’re a lifesaver... my personal ‘genie’.

J: Your wishes are my command, Master.

I curtsied in front of her, and then we both laughed at our silliness.

I prepared my notepad and took the coffee pot, went straight to table 2.

J: Good day Ma’am and Sir, would you like a refill?

C1: Oh, yes... Thank you.

I poured the coffee carefully into their cups.

J: Is there anything else I can do for you?

C2: No, that’s all... Thank you.

I smiled at the couple and left them.

As I was going back to the counter, the bell on the door rang.

J: Welcome to Happy Cafe!

I welcomed the newcomer with a smile, and then the customer looked at me and smiled.

NC: Is there an available table for one?

Oh gosh, that dimple... and that smile... Wow.

Snap out it, Jina! You’re working!

J: *cough* Let me see...

I looked around and I saw an empty table on the corner side.

J: Yes, there’s the spot... Follow me, please.

I pointed out the empty spot, grabbed a menu, and then guided him towards it.

J: Here you go, and also here’s the menu... I’m Jina, just call me if you’re ready to order.

I smiled at him and went back to the counter.

As soon as I put down the coffee pot on the table, Yong Sun nudged me.

YS: I saw what happened there...

J: What... What are you talking about?

YS: Are you crushing on that newcomer? *smirk*

J: Stop that... I’m not.

I went around the counter and started preparing the orders to be served.
