THE HEIRESS IS BACK

The headline floods the news industry as a certain dark long-haired woman exit the airport with cameras flashing all around. It had been long an issue of who will be taking care of Miyawaki Corporation that had been on steady growth for the past 3 years and the source of the fast steady growth was the sole heir of the company who had been away from Korea to expand the company in their hometown, Japan

Sakura walk confidently amidst all the chaos in the airport as she walks past the media with her bodyguards surrounding her. She had told her parents that she did not want to be expected when she arrived at the airport but somehow, somebody had leaked that she will be arriving today and media outlets had been waiting for her arrival since morning.

A sigh escapes her lips when she had finally gotten inside the van and close all the doors, away from al the hungry news outlets out to get the latest scoop. She looks through the windows as the van begins moving away from the airport and she felt nostalgic seeing the familiar skyscrapers, cornered convenience stores, streets she had walked on a dozen times a few years back

"It's been three years, huh?"

Yena peacefully sips her cup of coffee inside the cafe that she frequents in, waiting for her client to arrive for their appointment. She wonders why the staff in the cafe had suddenly rushed to change the channel in the television inside the cafe and her eyes wander to the television itself

The duck like girl almost coughed up her coffee when she saw a familiar figure being broadcasted on the TV and she couldn''t help but frantically search for her cellphone to call out a certain girl

"Yuri!" The girl on the other side of the phone moved her ears away from the phone when she heard Yena yelling at her

"Yah! I'm not deaf! I can hear you properly!" The hamster-like girl yelled back on the phone getting weird stares from the people around her

"I know! But this is important!" Yena speaks as she wipes herself with tissue trying to compose herself

"How important?" Yuri scoffed knowing how the older girl often over exaggerates things that aren't meant to be exaggerated.

"Sakura's back!"

"Hurry up, Minjoo! You'll be late!" Junkyu yells from his car waiting for the said girl to come out of her house.

Minjoo was quickly picks up her hairbrush and swipes it through her hair a couple of times before throwing the brush to the nearest table and runs towards the exit of the house.

She curses herself when she forgot to bring her bag and rushes back inside the house to get it. When she finally got her bag and a few envelopes with her, she slammed the door and hops on one foot towards Junkyu's car while she tries to fasten her heels on her other foot.

"Of all days to wake up late" Minjoo slammed the door of Junkyu's car making the latter wince

"Careful with the car" Junkyu says but he only gets an eye roll from the girl on the passenger seat because she knows even if you slam it a little harder, the young lad would always complain about not being too careful but careful was not Minjoo's list today. She needs to rush and he needs him to do the same.

"Step on it Junkyu, I'm really going to be late" Minjoo says as she tries to fix herself up before she presents herself to the business meeting she was asked to attend to in place of her parents.

Minjoo had rushed out of the car after giving thanks to the guy and ran quickly towards the entrance of the building. She gave the staff a rushed nod before heading inside the building and went straight ahead to the elevator.

While waiting for the elevator to arrive, Minjoo finally had the time to look around the interior of the building and it was nothing new for her, she had been visiting the building ever since her parents had asked her to help with the family business. But still she couldn't help but awe at how intricate the design to the building was, the Miyawaki's really does have great taste.

Three years ago, no one knew that Miyawaki Corporation wuold become this big especially in a foreign country from their own. However, when Sakura, her ex fiancee, left for Japan, the company had suddenly thrived to be one of the successful companies in Japan. Minjoo assumes that it must be because the Miyawaki's are Japanese and they themselves know the demands and lifestyle of their own people compared to Korea. But now, it would seem like the company had enough years in Korea to understand what the current Korean culture wants and used it to dominate the Korean industry

Japan,

Minjoo sighs inwardly as the elevator door dings open

I wonder how she is right now?

Minjoo seated herself to the right of the empty centered chair, silently praising herself for getting on time before the Miyawaki's arrived. Her parents were always seated next to the Miyawaki's as it was a sign of their bond as business partners and now she would be the one sitting beside the head of Miyawaki Corporation. She wouldn't lie and say that she wasn't nervous, she was extremely nervous for this will be the first time that she will be attending without her parents.

The brunette looked back at the chair and tilted her head in confusion. She wondered why there was only one chair for the center because almost every time, the Miyawaki heads would always sit beside each other as they treat themselves equally and respect each other's decision. She wonders if one of them was not feeling well and took note to check up on them later

The doors were frequently opening and closing as more of the board members enter the room and Minjoo could hear them shuffling and buzzling around about something. The brunette heightened her sense of hearing just to listen in on some of the conversations

"She's back!" Minjoo pondered on who was back but didn't linger on it too long because she was finalizing her presentation for the meeting.

The sound of bustling heightened when the elevator bells dings and people were rushing to get in their seats to frantically prepare for the meeting. In Minjoo's peripheral view, they saw them stand and bow, she imitated the gesture without looking up hoping to get the final read before the meeting officially starts.

Minjoo felt someone's presence finally occupying the seat beside her and thought to greet her uncle properly before taking her seat but when she looked up, she stood frozen, blinking her eyes in a fast pace, not believing what she was seeing

Sensing an uncomfortable stare beside her, Sakura turned to look at the source only to find Minjoo's brown orbs looking directly at her, confused. The older woman was quite taken aback by how the younger woman was looking at her that she had to fake cough to get herself back on track. Sakura gave Minjoo a curt nod and cleared before taking a seat.

When Sakura took her seat at the center of the table, the rest of the attendees took their seat as well except for Minjoo. The brunette only stared at the woman before her not minding any of the eyes that were on her. Only when the presenter cleared that Minjoo finally snapped out of her daze and rushed to take a seat but not before apologizing to the other people in the room.

Due to Minjoo's panicked state, she didn't notice how Sakura managed to stiffle a chuckle at her action.

All throughout the meeting, Minjoo could not focus on the topic beforehand with her eyes occassionally glancing at the girl beside her and she cursed herself for getting distracted with Sakura's mere presence

When the presenter finally announced for a break, Minjoo stood up from her seat and went to the restroom. Sakura's eyes followed the younger woman and debated whether she should go and follow her or not. But the older girl grunted and stood up from her seat, she really couldn't resist the younger girl so off she went to follow her

Minjoo stared at the reflection before her, she remembered how Sakura looked sharp in her blue suit adorned with a gold necklace. It was simple, but Sakura looked stunning with it. She remembered how Sakura always looked stunning in almost anything she wears. Minjoo also noticed that the older woman grew her hair. Sakura was captivating even with her short hair but now that it grew longer, it somehow pulls your attention to her

Minjoo slapped her face with both her hands lightly to help her get a hold of herself. Sure it was her decision to let go of Sakura before but she wouldn't deny that she still was in love with Sakura. She never would have thought that Sakura would leave her after the older girl confessed her feelings for her and she wonders if the older woman still felt the same for her because she was sure she was still in love with even after all these years.

The brunette got startled when she saw the door opening in the restroom revealing Sakura in her blue suit, with her eyes looking straight at her.

"Hey" Sakura smiled and walked towards the sink to wash her hands

"Hey" Minjoo bit her lips and looked away, trying to hide her blushing face

It had been so long since she'd last seen her and even if she had longed to see her again, she was not prepared to see her so soon. But then again, it had been three years already.

Sakura looked up to the mirror and saw Minjoo's reflection that was looking away from her

Sakura studies the younger girl and she'd be lying if she would say that puberty didn't hit the brunette hard. The older girl gulped as she scans Minjoo from head to toe only to stop at her hands and Sakura bit her inner cheek.

Sakura had noticed the ring adorning Minjoo's finger when the meeting had started, the ring kept on reflecting in Sakura's peripheral vision that she couldn't focus on the meeting as well. Her heart had sank knowing that Minjoo already married and that her feelings for her will forever be hers to bury

When Sakura followed Minjoo to the restroom, she had thought about what to say to the girl, but everything went down the drain when they finally meet face to face. It wasn't helping that Minjoo wouldn't even look at her directly, she'd assume that the younger girl doesn't want to talk to her judging from those avoiding gazes so Sakura sighed and wiped her hands with a towel before attempting to leave not wanting to bother the girl anymore

Disappointed washed over Minjoo's face when Sakura didn't even bother to keep the conversation going but she was even more disappointed in herself when she couldn't bring herself to make a conversation with her

As sigh escaped Minjoo's lips when the restroom door closed shut and she wonders if she'll ever have the courage to start a conversation with Sakura

The meeting ended with the two of them averting their gazes from one another, neither one of them able to focus on the meeting. Slowly, everyone in the room disipitated but both figures sat on their chair unmoving

When the last person exited the room, Sakura could be seen fidgeting with her ballpen while Minjoo pretends to start keeping her things. But when Minjoo finished stuffing the few things she had on the table inside her mini bag, she inwardly sighed and finally found the courage to speak

"Nice to see you again, Sakura" Minjoo said a little lower than her usual voice but enough for the older girl to hear

The older woman almost melted at Minjoo's soft voice. Oh, how she missed her so much. Her voice is still the same as ever, the voice that could simply bring butterflies in her stomach

But even if Sakura felt like melting into a puddle before Minjoo, the ring on Minjoo's sparkled in her eye and she bit her tongue

"Nice to see you too, Minjoo. How have you been?" Sakura tries to force a smile

"Doing well. You?" Minjoo looks at how Sakura's face seem to reflect some sadness in her eyes

"Still the same" The older woman smiled but Minjoo sees that her smile didn't reach her eyes so she tries to lighten up the atmosphere by cracking a light joke

"After what you've achieved, I don't think you're still the same" The brunette chuckles at what she said but Sakura seemed flustered

"I-it was all thanks to my parents" Sakura shies away from the Minjoo not expecting the sudden compliment but the younger girl continues to give the older girl another compliment

"Your long hair really looks good on you" And even if the compliment was directed to Sakura, Minjoo couldn't help but blush at what she just said

"T-thanks. You look even prettier now too" If it was possible to get even redder, the both of them would have after the counters of compliments

Feeling all shy, they both sit together in silence until Minjoo and Sakura's phone both lit up signalling a message notification

When they both read the message, they both look up to each other and spoke in unison

"Will you go?"

"Are you coming?"

And then they chuckle at each other

"I'm not sure" Sakura finally spoke after their laugh died down

"Why not?" The brunette raised her eyebrow but Sakura just shrugs her shoulder

"It'll be fun" Minjoo saw how nervous Sakura was and placed her hand on top of Sakura's hand making the older girl flinch

When Sakura didn't answer, Minjoo gently gripped the older girl's hand

"Please? The girls missed you" and before continuing, Minjoo bit her lip

"I missed you" The brunette said in a low hushed voice but no matter how low, Sakura could clearly hear it and her heart sang in glee. But the sparkle of the ring on Minjoo's finger sank her heart instantly

"I-I'll try" Minjoo's heart grew in dismay when the older girl withdrew her hand from her making th

Chapter 17: I was surprised when I saw that we got an update, and it took me awhile to even find it cause you put it before your new fic update. I was like, why did they had to go and hurt me again with a false update but luckily I look in the comments section. (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`)

And the epilogue was beautiful, it had everything I wanted. Of course Sakura goes full dumb dumb mode and start making assumptions, what else do I expect from her. But luckily Minjoo reach out to her so that Sakura doesn't do anything stupid again. We even got Chaewon here, but Sakura wdym you have your source when you don't even know that Minjoo hasn't marry yet. I'll just treat it that Sakura is dumb when it comes to the person she likes. (o≖◡≖)

I haven't started the new fic yet, but will start it very soon. Izone is coming back, so let all hope for more minkkura. (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧
