1. First, you need a pair of bestfriends

Chaeyeon knew her since middle school. Chaeyeon herself was the conservative type, drew boundaries to limit unwanted interactions with others.

The said fact didn't work for her. A japanese transferee who kept on bugging, clung onto her like a koala, and asked her to translate everything to japanese, even the unnecessary ones. Literally, the japanese girl didn't know certain thing called personal space.

Chaeyeon just couldn't get mad at her. She was not the type to do so. At first, Chaeyeon was being so timid with words. Months later she already used to nag the girl any moment.

Chaeyeon let the girl be. She didn't mind the girl's ignorance towards personal space or anything, you name it.

Since then, lowkey– in an unspoken rule, they favored each other's presence over others. Something made them click so fast, might be the traits that complete one another like a puzzle.

She also made friends easier as the time went by. Chaeyeon had changed, from within.

2. Next, mix them up with some fun facts

Chaeyeon hates bubble tea. She only had it occasionally when she was a kid, even so she drank the milk tea flavored one– the tapioca looked disgusting. Still, it doesn't stop the girl next to her to keeps on whining for a company to a bubble tea store every single day.

Even when Chaeyeon doesn't have a class, she will end up going to the store after picking up the older girl from the campus.

Chaeyeon likes the girl's small giggles and her shining eyes everytime she receives her hazelnut bubble tea.

She likes it everytime the girl shows Chaeyeon her satisfaction face when plates of yukhoe were being served.

The Lee begins to like everything the latter likes.

She starts to eat what the japanese girl loves to.

Without her knowing, she is not a vegetarian anymore— and she doesn't hate bubble tea that much. She loves the hazelnut one too.

Chaeyeon very well used to the older girl's existence. So, when a certain japanese girl's absence takes part for a week due to particular reasons which make her had to go back to Japan, she loses her appetite.

As well as her will to live, her mom said.

She doesn't go out if it's not for classes. Chaeyeon even skips several of her dance class. She waits for the latter calls every night that makes her wide awake before any of the incoming calls ring her phone.

But there was one night when she received an email instead. Not even a kakao or phone message.

Chaeyeon ended up only read that email. She fell asleep with a wide grin instead.

The next day Sakura arrived around late evening but Chaeyeon listened well. She listens to what the older girl says. She ate her breakfast and lunch and didn't skip a class.

Her bestfriend never say it out loud.

From what Chaeyeon sees, whenever she is being approached by others, to talk about something or just random people trying to flirt with her, the girl always put on that pouty face. She looks cute in Chaeyeon's eyes but she can see the annoyance through her glare.

In fact, Sakura is quite popular too. The older often got love letters inside her personal locker. Somehow, for unknown reason Chaeyeon feels uneasy everytime the girl starts to talk about others, admiringly. The feelings inside are close to as if Chaeyeon is being challenged, in every matter in life.

If Sakura talks about someone with great dance ability, oh not to brag about it but Chaeyeon is way greater.

If Sakura talks about kind people then Chaeyeon has been living the title as one of the campus angels. She was born to be kind genuinely, not like them who acted nice to the older girl for her attention only, she thought.

If Sakura talks about people with great humour and jokes, then Chaeyeon thinks she is pretty good with dad jokes too. Not bad at all.

Smart community? Well, she is advanced in her studies. The Lee is not the school pride for nothing.

But when Sakura starts to talk about her loneliness and sorrow, the younger is beyond sad. Just if the latter knows, Chaeyeon is just one call away.

She will go through the hardest way for free to reach her, to be by her side in all ups and downs.

Chaeyeon realised she wants it to be her. The one who is ready to fight anyone and anything for the girl's sake.

5. If you pour too much sugar, sigh, it can't be helped then

When Chaeyeon said she is willing to go through hell for her, she meant it.

She ended up having a surgery for several light bone fractures and a gunshot wound after a mass shooting incident.

So the night before, she was in the middle of her queue for two bubble teas while Sakura waited for her next to the line. Unfortunately, two guys were trying to rob a poor young girl on the street.

With only good reflexes and sudden sympathy, she walked away from the bubble tea stand and fought the two pickpockets.

Just like that, when she thought the two muggers were beaten up already– after a series of slamming each other, and the girl safely walked away, one of the guy took off his gun and started to shoot anyone around.

Thanks to her flexible muscles she could move quickly when the guy pointed her gun to a dumbfounded Sakura.

Right before her sight turned into a complete darkness, Chaeyeon heard police sirens and she could feel a very warm liquid flew out her stomach.

She woke up the next afternoon. Still half asleep she could hear the conversation between two endearing voices.

"Saku-chan, you don't need to force yourself, you need a rest," her mom said softly, "I believe Chaeyeon doesn't like to see you being exhausted too."

"No, auntie. It's fine, Auntie should rest too."

Chaeyeon could imagine the sad face the older girl probably made at the moment. She hates the fact that most likely Sakura would feel guilty for it.
