Hana is 17 years old living with her aunt and uncle in the US. She was living a simple, but fabulous life. She has a very happy life back in San Francisco. She was popular in her school and was also an upcoming valedictorian at her school. That is until her parents decided to bring her back to Korea. She didn't know why because her parents were barely in her life.

You see, Hana has been living with her aunt since she was 2 years old. So she doesn't have many memories of her parents. Hana barely talks to her parents. The only time is when it's someone's birthday. But that doesn't mean she doesn't love them. Her aunt always tries to make Hana love them. It doesn't matter if they were barely in her life. Hana always thought their family was poor because of her situation.
