Mina’s POV

 

I fluttered my eyes open when I felt the sunrays hit my face.

I suddenly remembered what happened last night.

I slowly touched my lips and smiled.

I’m internally screaming. “OMAYGAD OMAYGAD OMAYGAD SHE KISSED ME. WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO!?” 

 

I then stuffed the pillow beside me on my face and screamed my lungs out.

 

When I calmed down. I put the pillow back. And that is when I realized that Chaeyoung’s not beside me.

I frowned. I was expecting to wake up next to her.

 

I looked at the clock beside me. It’s 9:47.

I pushed myself up and went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth.

 

When I went out, the smell of food was the first thing that met me.

Then Momo appeared and went down the stairs hurriedly.

 

I chuckled.

 

“She had a good sense of smell when it comes to food.” A hoarse voice behind me was sloppily towards the stairs.

“How’s the cub?” she asked.

“I don’t know Dahyun-ah. I woke up by myself.” I followed her downstairs.

“I wonder where she is.” I continued.

 

She suddenly stopped on the way to the kitchen.

 

“Looks like the answer is here.”

 

I followed where her gaze at and saw a sleeping cub on the couch.

 

‘Why is she here?’ I thought to myself.

 

“Wake her up later. I’m sure she’s tired.” Kang oppa descended the stairs along Jihyo unnie.

“Goodmorning by the way.” He greeted and proceeded to the kitchen.

“We’ll wake her up later. Let’s just eat first. Sana, Momo and I have something to do.” Jihyo patted my shoulder.

“Let’s go. Unnie.” Dahyun said and also followed to the kitchen.

 

Sana, Tzuyu, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, and Momo were already sitting, waiting for us to come.

 

“Finally! I was starving to death, but Jeongyeon said we have to wait for you guys first.” Momo rattled.

“They’re here already! Stop whining!” Jeongyeon slapped Momo’s hand that was reaching for a piece chicken.

 

Dahyun chuckled and sat beside her girl. “Patience babe.”

 

We then all sat down and ate while chatting about what to do later that day.

 

Dahyun, Tzuyu and I were left. Saying that we should clean up.

Nayeon and Jeongyeon went upstairs to sLeEp since they both woke up early to cook.

Well, basically, Nayeon disturbing the Jeongyeon while cooking. While the rest went out to schedule our activity.

 

After cleaning. I went to the living room to chill. But I was met with a distressed Chaeyoung.

I approached her. She was sweating a lot.

 

“No… don’t go…….” She mumbled.

“Wake her up unnie.” I turned around and saw a concerned eagle and yoda.

“She’s having a nightmare.” Tzuyu said.

 

When I turned back. Chaeyoung has tears on her eyes rolling to her cheeks.

So I touched her face.

She sat up immediately. Panting.

 

“Are you okay?” I asked

 

She looked at me. 

 

Tzuyu left to get some water.

She held it out when she came back.

 

“Thank you.” I took the glass of water and help Chaeyoung drink it.

“Better?” I asked once again and she nodded.

 

We waited for a few minutes so that she can catch her breath.

Tzuyu went to the back and Dahyun sat beside her, leaning and whispering something.

When Chaeyoung shookt her head, Tzuyu slapped her head hard.

 

I was actually worried since she just woke up.

 

“Tzuyu, calm down. She just woke up.”

 

I offered to cook her something since the food earlier we’re all gone. I stood up and went to the kitchen.

 

I cooked a simple meal. Omellete with a little vegetables on the side and fried rice.

I brought it to the living room and was met by a shouting mess.

 

“WHY CAN’T YOU USE YOUR BRAIN AT A TIME LIKE THIS!” Tzuyu shouted.

“What’s all the shouting all about?” I asked.

“Nothing.” The three said in unison.

 

I chuckled. Must be one of their pointless arguments.

 

I told her to eat and that Sana had an appointment for us this late afternoon.

I looked at her while she was eating.

 

Does she really love me?

Did she really kissed me last night?

Am I just dreaming?

 

Then Nayeon unnie and Jeonyeon unnie descended the stairs. Following by the arrival of the 4.

 

Jihyo explained our activities to us.

 

“Now shove all those food into your mouth Chae! Get your things! We’re going” she finished.

And she did.

She choked and cough but she relieved it with water and continue fasting the food.

 

Then the both of us went to our room and prepared.

I was already done since I prepared things before I went downstairs to eat.

I observed her movements.

How she hurriedly pulled out a back pack.

How she rummaged through her closet.

 

She haven’t noticed that we’re alone.

My mind went back to what happened last night.

 

I want to confirm her feelings.

I know that she’s drunk.

I can’t raise my hopes like that. What if she’s drunk talking.

 

“Chae….”

“Mina….”

 

We both said it at the same time. 

We looked at each other for a second and laughed.

 

“You go first.” I said

“No. You go first. What I’m about to say is not that Important anyway.” She smiled.

 

 

That damn smile.

 

 

I inhaled deeply.

“Chae. What are-“

 

Then suddenly the door of our room busted open.

 

“You two! Flirt later! We have to go!” A very loud voice said.

 

 

Jihyo unnie…………

 

 

She took our luggage and went out.

The two of us once again looked at each other.

 

She smiled again.

“Tell me later.” She stood and went out

 

I was stunned for a moment. Then followed her out.

.

I  could say, that this is one of the best vacation I ever had. We did all sort of activities.

Tiring, yes, but worth it, as I never experienced this before since I am more of a home person.

 

We are at this island at the moment to celebrate new year.

 

 

The set up is kinda good actually.

It’s like a bar on the beach but only with a few people, so it's not that uncomfortable to get wild.

 

I was enjoying the view of the sea when I felt someone sit beside me.

 

“Hey..”

“Hey.” I replied.

 

We we’re sitting in a comfortable silence for a few more minutes before words we’re finally spilled.

 

“I have something really important to tell you Mina.”

 

I looked at her, curious.

 

“What is it? Chaeng?” 

“The rest of the gang already knew about it. And they’re the one that told me that I have to be the one who should tell this.” 

 

She looked at me.

 

Okay. I’m really nervous at this point.

 

“I won’t be able to hang out with you guys next semester.”

 

Okay……..?

That was it?

 

“Why?” I tilted my hands due to confusion

 

“I have to study my whole senior year next semester along with my regular schedule.”

“What? Why?”

“I have to………. Because…..”

 

She breath deeply.

 

“I have to took over my dad’s position in a company. As a CEO.”

 

I blinked my eyes. That’s it? Really! That’s the news?

 

“Wow! Congratulations!”

Okay. I admit. It was really a big great news. I mean, she will be a freaking CEO..... But……. Why is she so nervous?

 

“And, yeah…… wow…. I never thought that it was this easy….”

"Why are you so nervous. You know that i will be with you through your ups and downs right?? Im happy for you Chae.... Really."

"It's just that. You guys will never see me again. We'll we will still see each other, but rarely. I won't be able to spend lunch or go out after class with you guys anymore. Even after our graduation.... "

"Chae...... It's fine... really.... why are you overthinking about this? We are all fine with it. As long as you're fine. Really"

 

She smiled at me.

Now. It’s my turn to ask my question.

 

“There was something that you like to say right? What was it?” She asked.

“Right right….” I inhaled deeply. “Chae, about last night-“

 

And the fireworks suddenly was fired….

 

“HAPPY NEW YEAR” everyone celebrated.

 

 

Damn it…… 

 

 

We both looked up the sky and admired the beauty.

 

After the fireworks.

“Happy new year, Minari” she said.

 

My heart beated rather loud. I’m afraid that she will hear it.
Out of all the person that called me that, this is the first time I melted at the call.

 

“Happy New year. Chaengie.”

“What we’re you going to say again?” she asked.

 

 

Ahh. That’s right!

 

 

I was about to say something when Sana and Momo jumped at me while their two girlfriends jumped at Chaeyoung, all shouting “HAPPY NEW YEAR!”

 

“The party is not her Chaeng! Let’s go!” Dahyun and Tzuyu dragged her to the counter that holds so many drinks.

“Sorry for breaking your alone time with the cub Miguri, but you’re celebrating new year with us.” Sana pulled me to stand up.

“It’s time for our bond time!” Momo shouted excitedly and dragged me to the counter.

 

And my question…. Poofed!...... long forgotten.

 

Anyway, I let myself loose along with the 2.

Eventually everyone got drunk and rested on the boat that’s going to bring us back to the shore.

 

I woke up when someone slapped me lightly on my face.

I fully opened my eyes and squinted a bit.

I was met with the cub’s face closed to mine.

 

“We’re here. The floating restaurant.” She said.

 

I looked at my surroundings and seems like I’m the only one left in the boat.

I stood up and suddenly felt my head ache and got a little dizzy.

I almost stumbled back but she held me.

 

“You okay?” she asked.

“Yeah, just a little hang over.” I rubbed my temples.

 

She supported me until we reached our table.

She pulled the chair and I sat. She then proceeded to her seat, quite far from mine.

 

The maknaes, Jeongyeon unnie, and Kang oppa looks fine, while the rest of us are groaning like sh*t. Most of us drunk like our life depended on it.

The 4 supported us throughout the course.

They distributed the plates, utensils, and they actually prepared pills for us.

 

“Why didn’t you guys drink! It’s new year!” Nayeon ranted.

“If we drank too, who will take care of you?” Jeongyeon replied while giving Nayeon a small bowl of soup.

“I actually didn’t drink since I don’t want to get wasted 2 times in a row.” the cub concluded.

“And since Momo amd Sana unnie said that they’re gonna go wild at the party and knowing that the cub won’t drink, Tzuyu and I decided to drink a bottle. Just enough to feel relaxed” Dahyun put down the food she get for Momo.

“And Kang oppa.” Tzuyu pointed at Daniel getting food for Jihyo. “Said he just have high alcohol tolerance.”

 

I groaned due to the pain when someone put a small bowl of miso soup in front of me. I followed the owner of the arm and saw her smiling at me.

She then lent me some pills.

 

“For your head ache.” She then went back to her seat and ate.

 

Ugh, why does Chae’s seat so far.

I internally groaned.

 

We finished eating. I felt better than the time I woke up, but definitely still have hangover.

We went back to the boat and sat down. I entered and found out that the only seat available was beside Chaeyoung.

 

 

Yay..

 

 

I sat beside her but her eyes were closed. She must be sleeping. 

I casually leaned my head to her shoulders and slept again.

I Woke up….. I observed my surroundings and found no one…… except for the one I was leaning on.

I looked at the petite figure beside me and she was reading something on her phone.

Her brows we’re burrowed and she looks so concentrated.

She looks…… I don’t know. I was torn between cute slash adorable and hot slash y.

She actually has sweats running down her neck. She gulped.

 

 

Damn I never knew people could be y when gulping.

 

She must have felt my stares as she turned her head to my direction. She smiled.

 

“You’re awake.”

“Where are the others?” I asked while stretching.

“They went back at the villa.”

“Why didn’t you wake me?” I unconsciously pouted.

 

She chuckled. “I don’t want to wake you up.”

She stood up and lifted her hand out. “Let’s go.”

 

I held her hand and followed her out the boat.

 

“What time is it?”

“Around 2? The others ordered take out hours ago, let’s just heat it up for lunch.”

 

We walked through the seashore, enjoying the sea breeze.

 

“Aren’t you bored waiting for me to wake up?”

She shookt her head and just smiled.

We reached the villa. It’s so quiet here. Everyone must be really tired. 

I saw the take out Chaeng was talking about and reheated it.

We ate it and decided to just sleep again. I was about to go upstairs when I noticed Chaeyoung heading for the living room.

 

“Where are you going?” I asked.

“In the living room.” She stopped from her tracks.

“Aren’t we going to sleep?” 

“Yeah…….. and?” she tilted her head

“The bedroom is upstairs.”

“Ah. I was planning to sleep on the couch so you’ll be more comfortable.” She said.

 

 

I remembered her also sleeping on the couch last time. Did she thought that I will feel uncomfortable?
Aw. This stupid cub, worrying about me before herself. Here she goes again making my heart flutter to her small gestures.

 

“Just……. Let’s go.” I took her hand and led her to our room.

 

We slept side by side. Considering I just slept, she went to dreamland first.

I stared at her face. 

 

How can a person look so innocent while sleeping.

I smiled to myself. I suddenly remembered that I haven’t asked her my question yet.

 

I cursed internally.

 

Then I looked at her face again. My heart was beating in a different rate.

I kissed her forehead slowly, afraid of waking her up.

Then lied down and followed her to dreamland.

 

 

(A/N: I realized that this chapter described me as a person. Sleep her and there. Sleep anytime, anywhere. Haha…. Anyway don’t mind me. Love you all.)

 

 

I woke up to the door banging.

 

Bang! Bang! Bang!

 

“CHAE!? MINA!? WAKE UP!? IT’S ING MIDNIGHT AND I AM HELL SURE THAT YOU TOO HAVEN’T PACKED YOUR THINGS YET!?”

 

Then it went silent for a second.

 

Bang! Bang! Bang!

 

“WAKE THE HELL UP OR I’LL BRING TZUYU TO WHACK YOUR DOOR DOWN!”

“IM AWAKE SANA!” I finally shouted.

 

I rested for a while, then tried to get up, that is when I noticed an arm settled on my waist.

I bit my lips to stop myself from squealing.

I slowly wiggled myself out

. As much as I love to stay in her embrace, I have to get my things done.

I noticed that her luggage are all set. She must have woke up and prepared her things and went back to sleep.

 

Anyway, I tidied our room after getting my clothes in my bags. Checked my things, and wake the cub up.

 

“Chae!” 

She slurred.

“Chaengie, wake up!”

She then slowly opened her eyes. She sat up and blink for a few times.

 

She looks so adorable. AaaAAhHHh.

 

“Are we going home already?” she asked in a hoarse y voice.

 

Okay, that was such a turn on.

Stop Myoui, calm your hormones down.

 

I hummed and response. She then went to the bathroom and readied herself to go. 

We descended downstairs and was met with 8 pair of eyes.

 

“Finally!” Momo cheered.

“Our things are already in the car. We’re just waiting for the both of you.” Sana eyed me up and down.

“You should control your hormones Chae!” Tzuyu snickered.

“Stop! Tzuyu, don’t start.” She still has her hoarse y voice.

 

I said Stop Myoui. Calm your hormones!

 

Chaeyoung went to the kitchen and emerged with a glass of water.

“Wow. You had the nerves to oversleep when you know that we’re leaving at midnight. It’s already 2 o clock chae!” Dahyun groaned.

 

After drinking the water. “Yah! I still have wo- anyway! I’m driving so I had to sleep a lot!” Chaeyoung encountered.

 

We took our thing on the bunk of the car, settled inside, and started our journey.

 

 

 

It was faster than the last time we travelled. We arrived around 6.

We gave our goodbye to Tzuyu and Sana, and Chaeyoung drove me home.

She insisted.

 

On our way, it was quiet, a mellow song accompanying us.

When we reached the front gat of my house, I called for a helper to carry my things to my room.

 

I looked back at her. She was casually leaning on her car.

I remembered my question once again.

 

 

I really want to confirm her feelings.

 

 

I want to know why did she do that?

 

 

I Want her to be mine.

 

I approached her. And my hands automatically found hers.

“Chaeyoungah……”

 

She hummed in response.

She rubbed the back of my hand.

“About the k-“

 

 

Kriiiiiiing.

 

 

Damn it.

 

 

Both of us looked for our phone.

 

 

“It’s mine.” She held out her phone.

“Wait a sec….” She then answered her call.

“Mom?”

 

 

I watched her face change from a calm one to a worried one. She looked at me. I can feel that she was about to cry.

 

 

“Yes. Wait for me there………. Yeah yeah, I just dropped Mina home…….. yeah…….. I’ll meet you there.” 

 

She gripped her phone when the call ended.

 

“I have to go Mina. It’s my……… It’s my Dad. Im so sor-"

 

I Cupped her face

 

“Shh shh shh shh….. it’s fine….. go…..” 

 

She hurriedly went inside and took off.

 

Somehow, I didn’t want her to go……it feels like this is the last time I am going to see her.
