While scrolling down her Instagram feed Jang Mi’s heart skipped a beat at the familiar face that was now displayed in the screen. A tall man with blonde hair was taking a sip of coffee, he was wearing a long cardigan and by the background full of tall buildings Jang Mi could tell he was in New York of course.

Along the picture there was a description:

Jang Mi couldn’t deny how handsome he looked, his features changed during these years, his jawline is now sharp, his lips look fuller and his cheekbones are prominent in a healthy way, of course the teenager she remembers was still there, it was just a much better version.

The blonde hair he got done some months ago shocked her at first, but nowadays she loved how it looked.

It was Jung Jaehyun his former best friend and later on first (and only) boyfriend.

Jang Mi started following him on Instagram a few months ago when one of her best friends, Jennie, told her about it, she immediately thought of sending him a DM, this was the only way she could think of reconnecting with his first love, but once again the voice in the back of her head reminded her that if he was really interested in her he could’ve answer just one of the countless texts and calls she sent him after he deleted every social media profile, heck she even expected a letter, just something to let her know that he was fine and that he missed her. But in these nearly 5 years of absence she got nothing.

That’s why Jang Mi decided to start calling Jung Jaehyun Mr. Missing.

Hello there! This is my first try writing a fanfic, I hope you all like it! It is inspired by various books I’ve read over time and I decided to have Jaehyun as the main character because I totally fell in love with him a few weeks ago when he was here in México with NCT 127 for ‘The Origin’ concert, since then he climbed over my top 3 bias list and I really wanted to write something about him.
