JangMi could feel the adrenaline run though her veins, she was mad worried about Jaehyun, every single possibility was explored in her head in less than a second, and none of them seemed coherent at all.

Just when she arrived at Jaehyun’s door, Lucas kept on running, confusing JangMi even more.

‘Hey, but that’s his room!’ JangMi screamed at Lucas.

‘But he’s not in there, he is in the backyard!’ Lucas answered without slowing.

When she arrived at the backyard, she had to stop on her tracks to process everything that was going on before her eyes.

Jaehyun wasn’t injured, not a single bit, he was totally fine, but he was standing there in the middle, wearing a while polo shirt with some navy-blue shorts. He pushed all of his hair back and he was smiling at her, oh boy if those looks and specially that smile with those dimples did nothing to her she would either be lying or she was turning into a robot.

Not to mention the breathtakingly beautiful set in front of her, the whole place was full paper stars and golden lights, JangMi wanted to react, but she couldn’t, she was stuck in there, it wasn’t until Lucas pushed her forward at the same time that Jaehyun extended his hand towards her that she could finally move.

‘Hi twinkle, I made this specially for you, will you join me to dinner?’ Jaehyun smiled showing his dimples.

‘But what are the others going to think?’ JangMi nervously answered.

‘No worries, I told them to go clubbing tonight ‘Jaehyun answered.

But that makes no sense, we were going to have dinner together, Jennie and JooHyun didn’t mention anything, and a few minutes ago everyone was still at home’ JangMi was really confused, she turned around and realized that only the three of them were in the house.

‘Well, that’s because this was a surprise, and they knew they shouldn’t tell you a word about it’ Jaehyun started guiding JangMi towards the neatly prepared table at the center of the backyard.

‘Aaaand now I am leaving, my uber it’s outside, have fun love birds! Fighting!’ Lucas goofily smiled while closing the door behind him.

‘Now, let me get the food and then we can talk about everything for a considerable amount of time’ Jaehyun walked inside the kitchen.

After he disappeared inside the kitchen JangMi finally exhaled, she didn’t know why but she was holding her breath all this time, and her whole body was shaking almost uncontrollably.

She had to calm herself if she wanted to survive the rest of the night, and just in the middle of her breakdown Jaehyun appeared with a tray that had several plates and glasses.

‘Let me help you’ JangMi was about to rush to his side to help him but Jaehyun was faster to speak.

‘No! You just need to remain on your seat looking as pretty as ever, this is a gift from me to you and you need to relax and let me handle the rest’ Jaehyun seriously answered.

JangMi was caught off guard with the unexpected cheesy words that she could only smile and blush madly.

Jaehyun started to arrange all the dishes and he finally placed a napkin in JangMi’s lap.

‘I cooked some of the dishes, some others are from a restaurant nearby’ Jaehyun shyly commented.

‘Thanks Jae’ JangMi softly answered.

They both started eating trying to fight the awkwardness and trying to find a way to smoothly start talking without making it even more uncomfortable.

‘And tell me, how is college here in Korea?’ Jaehyun finally spoke, trying to approach the situation in the most normal way possible.

‘Great, I mean, it is hard, not only for me but for everyone, but we ended up having tons of fun and getting good grades’ JangMi smiled remembering all the fun stuff she did no only with her close friends, but also with her friends from med school.

‘There was this time when Doyoung was raising money for an animal shelter and the best idea he had was to dress up all the guys and made them dance to girl group songs’ JangMi started talking naturally.

‘Really!? Do any of you have videos of that!? I would pay to watch that!’ Jaehyun was laughing just thinking about it, obviously Johnny never told him about that, it would’ve been too embarrassing to tell.

Without noticing they kept on talking about life in general, it started with that funny Doyoung story, but eventually they shifted topics and started talking about dogs, and TV series, it was awesome how even when they lost contact with each other they still shared a ton of likes and dislikes.
