I have to meet them later after lunch.

Mark sighed after reading that message. He has this feeling that just didn’t seem to leave him alone. He was kind of happy and excited for his best friend, but behind that he really was nervous about this whole thing, He’s not sure if he did the right decision of just letting Jinyoung do it, or just granting his request and favor just like that? He means, sure, he can’t do anything about it anyway if Jinyoung really wants to suddenly go back into films, but he could’ve been more stubborn and not let him go through it alone like what his best friend wants? But even though he thinks like that, Mark knows he needs to trust him on this, Jinyoung needs him to badly trust him on this one, and that’s what he’s gonna do even though he honestly keeps worrying about him literally for every moment of the day, especially now that Jinyoung had finally submitted that damn email that he’s been trying to send for approximately two weeks now, and he’s in fact is scheduled to have an official meeting with the production company today.

He didn’t know if his best friend would be able to attend that without having his symptoms draining him into a pulp, and Mark was actually shivering now by just the thought of Jinyoung suddenly collapsing alone there with a bunch of unfamiliar people, but just keeps praying for the best, that’s all that he can do for him right now anyway?

To: Nyeong
Good luck, then! Make sure to eat first before going so you’ll have energy. Call me if you need anything J Take care, buddy!

He typed and press send.

Deciding to just be casual to not make him nervous even more, he knows the more he keeps showing that he was worried for him the more Jinyoung would feel scared for himself.

His best friend didn’t reply to that message anymore, so he guessed the other guy was now preparing too before heading out later. He finally pushed his phone inside his pockets and grabs his bag, walking out of the bedroom and into the stairs.

He saw Jackson moving around the dining area once he got down, just giving him a quick glance before heading straight near the door to put on his shoes.

“Mark,”

He just hummed boringly when he heard him calling his name, still busy with typing his shoelace, but he stopped temporarily when he doesn’t hear a response after that and actually hears him walking closer instead.

“Are you leaving early again?”

Jackson asks when he’s already just behind him. Mark just goes back to what he was doing as he gave him the same hum.

“I’ve made breakfast,”

He said and watched as his boyfriend stood up and looks as if he was ready to go.

Mark turns around to look at him. He felt a small pinch on his chest when he saw how his boyfriend was looking at him as if he’s begging him with his eyes.

“Wanna eat first before going?”

Jackson added as he starts avoiding his boyfriend’s eyes and starts scratching the back of his head.

Mark was just watching him. It’s actually been days since they argued about that woman, and since their last conversation about it, that just ends up with them arguing more when he finally got back home that day and Jackson was even madder because he didn’t go home for two days. So, in the end, their days just turn into something like this. Them, ignoring each other. They won’t talk the whole day, be it inside the house or at work, they don’t go home together and even text each other, they don’t sit together to eat, they sleep with their backs facing each other on the bed, they woke up and prepare for work separately. Mark would even make an effort to wake up earlier than usual so he could leave early too, so he can avoid him.

Today, however, was different.

When he woke up, Jackson wasn’t on the bed anymore. He found him cooking something inside the kitchen but as usual, he just did his own business as if he doesn’t have another presence inside this house, and he thought this morning will be the same as the others, so he’s actually a bit surprised when Jackson started approaching him.

His eyes shifted to the dining area where breakfast was already served and shifted into looking at him again.

He’s really getting tired of this.

He thought as he lets out a sigh and just nodded his head.

Jackson started walking back towards the table with his boyfriend following behind him. They sat across from each other and start eating their breakfast in pure silence.

“Your Mom called me last night.”

Jackson suddenly spoke after a few minutes. Mark just gave him a quick glance when he said that.

“She was asking when are we going to visit them again.”

He added, watching his boyfriend as the other just keeps eating his breakfast in front of him.

“Also, she was complaining that you’re not answering his calls and messages?”

“I already told her, I’m quite busy.”

The other finally answered.

“Still, you should spare some time to call and check on her, she’s just worried.”

Jackson said and kind of regretted it a bit as he suddenly starts thinking that Mark might take it the wrong way?

“I’ll call her later.”

Mark answered after emptying his glass of water.

“Anyway, thanks for the breakfast, I’ll head out first, now.”

He said and finally excused himself before standing up and picking up his bag at his side, he was about to head straight at the door when Jackson called his name again.

“Can you wait for a bit? Let’s head out together,”

Jackson asks, leaving his seat now too and picking up all his stuff before rushing towards Mark at the door.

Mark was just watching him putting on his shoes, and when’s Jackson’s done, he roams around one last time checking the plugs and stuff before going back to his boyfriend and opening the door for him.

“Should we get a cab?”

The Chinese guy asks once they’re outside.

“I’ll take the bus.”

Mark shortly answered as he starts walking ahead in the direction of the bus stop, making his boyfriend following and catching up beside him, too.

They just quietly walk beside each other and even when they were waiting for the bus. It was awkward at the same time comfortable like they both know they aren’t that mad with each other anymore but since they’ve been ignoring each other nonstop these past few days they suddenly didn’t know how to interact with each other properly after that.

Mark hops on the bus first once it arrives, feeling himself being sandwich between other people since the bus is packed, suddenly regretting that he forgot today’s Monday so public transpos’ would definitely be full of people, especially this early.

We should’ve just got a cab?

He thought and glares at the guy behind him when he feels like he was purposely putting his weight on him.

Jackson notices him doing that, so he scooted a bit closer behind his boyfriend and subtly tries to push the guy away to make a bit of space behind that guy and Mark’s back. The guy shifted into looking at him when he felt that but quickly avoided his eyes when Jackson glares back at him, thus making that guy completely avoiding making his body touching them as Jackson put his free arm on his boyfriend’s shoulder.

Mark looks up at his face for a second and quickly goes back on looking outside the bus window, scooting a bit closer towards his boyfriend’s body too as he feels more comfortable and safer in that space.

They both got off the bus once they arrived at their destination.

Mark just lets his boyfriend simply slipping his hand on his hand and intertwined it, and just holding Jackson’s hand back too as they walk side by side in silence.

“How’s Jinyoung?”

Jackson suddenly spoke after a good minute of them just walking hand by hand.

“Fine, I guess? He’ll be busy today.”

Mark answered.

“I texted him last night to check on him, is it true that he’ll be going back on films?”

Jackson asks, he was honestly shocked last night when Jinyoung told him that, but he didn’t get to ask him why as he feels like Jinyoung was trying to avoid talking about that part so he just sent him good luck.

Mark sighed before answering.

“He is. He’s actually going to meet the producers later,”

“Will he be okay, though? Who is he with?”

The younger asks, obviously worried.

“He’s alone,” Mark said and Jackson couldn’t help but look at him with that extremely worried expression on his face. “He said he wanted to do it alone, so let’s just trust him.”

Mark added.

“Also, please refrain yourself from asking him why? Even I don’t know the reason, but he strongly requested it so just let him do it alone peacefully, he’ll tell us soon why when’s ready.”

He reminded him, though he knows Jackson already probably knows not to ask him as he had already contacted him himself about it.

Jackson just nodded his head. Well, if Mark, Jinyoung’s best friend was this calm then he should stop worrying and just be calm too, right?

He trusts Jinyoung and he trusts his boyfriend, so it will be fine right?

He snaps out of his thoughts when Mark lets go of his hand, thus making him aware that they have finally reached their agency and should split now as Mark needs to head straight at the other facility to meet the crews before heading out again to another theater hall outside, and Jackson needs to head inside to mentor their new stage actors.

“I’ll go now,”

Mark spoke and was about to take his first step away when Jackson gently grabs his hand again, stopping him.

“Why?”

He asks, eyes going down on his boyfriend’s hand that was holding his hand.

Jackson lets out a deep long sigh as he shifted into looking at their hands then up on the older’s eyes.

“I know you’re probably tired now from hearing this but…” He started as he avoided the other’s eyes again before continuing, “I’m sorry,”

He spoke and Mark couldn’t help the long sigh coming out of his mouth too.

He was actually, and at this point, he just didn’t want to talk about that thing anymore as he’s just really done with that.

“I know that you—“

“Jackson,”

He said, getting his boyfriend’s attention.

“It’s fine now, I’m not mad anymore, so please stop talking about it already…”

Jackson nodded his head, still aren’t convinced that Mark isn’t mad anymore.

“I mean, I’m not mad at you now, but I’m just done with it. I just realized we have different views about that, so let’s just respect each of our opinions and not talk about it again. That wasn’t our business anyway; let’s not argue about something that is not our business, to begin with?”

He explained clearer, and Jackson immediately absorbed his point.

Mark was just really done talking about it. For now, he knows there’s no way for them to agree with each other about that thing, so they should just completely stop talking about it to avoid unnecessary arguments like the last time, and it’s really not worth it that they’re letting that thing slowly split them apart. Yes, Jaebeom is their friend and they really care for him, but it was his own problem. Jaebeom would not hesitate to ask for help anyway if he needs it so why stressed about it when the person itself doesn’t even seem to see it as a big deal? Also, there's no secretes that can be hidden forever, if Sehwa really is hiding something then he’ll just let karma do its magic.

“So, please, let’s just not talk about it again,”

He added and just smiles a bit too when Jackson nodded his head again and finally smiles at him while saying I get it before he gently pulls him closer by his hand for a gentle hug.

“And don’t say sorry about it again, you have your own opinion, let’s just leave it like that.”

He spoke against his boyfriend’s shoulder as he hugs him back too, suddenly making him think when was even the last time he hugged this man because right now, he feels like he hasn’t been held for years when it’s just really week?

“I love you, baby,”

Jackson whispered in his ears as he places a soft kiss on the side of his head.

“I love you more, so please let’s stop arguing?”

He said back, making Jackson chuckling softly before answering.

“Well, it ain’t us if we’re not arguing, isn’t it?”

He jokingly said, but was actually the truth anyway? Among their friends and among the couples they’re really the one who argues the most about the smallest and simplest things, and Jackson thinks it’s what makes their relationship even stronger all these years.

“Right,” Mark mumbled with the same small chuckle as he started adorably nuzzling his face on the crook of his boyfriend’s neck. “I miss you,”

He mumbled with a pout, melting his boyfriend’s heart in an instant. Jackson cupped both of his cheeks and pecks his lips.

“Let’s go home together later, okay?”

“You’ll wait for me?”

Mark asks, still with that cute pout that Jackson really finds so adorable. He likes it when Mark is being so cute like this towards him, it made him want to kiss him all day.

“Of course, when did I not?”

He answered and smooches his boyfriend’s cheek making him giggle.

“Let’s meet later then, bye-bye for now, love you!”

Mark said whispering the last words on his boyfriend’s ear before kissing him quickly, detaching himself from him and cutely running away while waving his hand.

Jackson was just chuckling while watching him, telling him he loves him more before Mark finally went out of his sight.

This will be a good whole day!

He told himself as that smile seems to never leave his face anymore. He’s not complaining though, it was Mark who put that smile on him so he’ll be more than happy to wear and display it the whole day.

He started walking inside in such a great mood, even whistling and humming songs.

“Good morning!”

He excitedly greeted once he steps foot inside the hall, puzzling all the people inside because for the first time in a week he actually seems to be in a good mood, unlike before where he looks as if he always woke up on the wrong side of the bed, looking at everyone with dullness.

“I’m guessing you finally made up with, Mark?”

Jaebeom commented as he approaches his best friend's side while he’s busy putting his bag inside the lockers.

“You got it!”

Jackson playfully said with a big smile on his face that Jaebeom would admit he kind of miss.

“Good to hear that,”

He said and suddenly feels a bit guilty as he knows they were the reason why they even fought.

“Sorry though,” He followed, he just feels like he needs and wants to apologize, “I already spoke with her about it, I’m not sure if she gets it but I’ll make sure it won’t happen again,”

“Hey,” Jackson responded. He finally closed his locker as they both start walking outside again, “It’s not your fault, okay, it’s just a misunderstanding. Also, Mark said he’s done talking about it, so if ever you meet him please just don’t mention it again or apologize for it,”

“Okay.”

Jaebeom said while nodding his head. Well, at least for now, he knows those two would stop clashing.

“Anyway, where’s she?”

“Toilet.”

He answered shortly and just in time, the girl finally got back.

“Good morning,” Jackson greeted and Sehwa just smiles a little and greeted him back. “About what happen last time,”

Jackson started, Jaebeom swiftly walks away when he figured out what Jackson wants to say to give them some privacy.

Sehwa looks at him, completely aware of what he was talking about. After that day, she and Jackson also kind of drifted away too, and this is actually the first time Jackson speak with her again. She didn’t know if it was Jackson’s choice to avoid her or it was Mark who told his boyfriend to ignore her, but he was thinking it was the latter.

That guy has always been petty, anyway?

She thought.

“I just want to apologize if he has been a bit mean, he’s just—“

“Yeah, right.”

She said, interrupting the other guy’s words.

“He just doesn’t like me that’s all. I should really get used to it.” She added while crossing her arms on her chest, just thinking about him made her blood boiling somehow, “But you know you shouldn’t tolerate him, right?”

She asks, and Jackson nodded his head.

“Yeah, I understand that, but actually Mark isn’t just—“

“Jackson your boyfriend needs some working on his personality.” She said frankly that actually didn’t sound too good on Jackson’s ears. “His temper is awful and he’s unforgivably foul-mouthed. Is that how his parents taught him to behave in front of a pregnant woman? I can't even believe you're with such an ill-mannered guy?"

She said, just obviously blurting out all his rants about Mark in front of his own boyfriend.

Jackson wasn’t having it. He knows Mark indeed has a temper but the way Sehwa said all of that it was as if Mark is just all about that, and what is she even saying ill-mannered? When did Mark become an ill-mannered guy?

“Look, I apologized to you because; I must admit he was wrong that he said that to you in such an insensitive manner, and I made him aware of that, but I cannot really agree or just ignore what you’re saying about him because that’s not him. Mark has a temper, yes, but he isn't always like that, he doesn’t act out of impulse unless someone really did provoke him,”

He said, defending his own boyfriend.

“Maybe, you’re just seeing him like that because you guys aren’t on good terms, but my boyfriend is more than what you thought he was. He’s not an ill-mannered guy and please don’t even bring his parents into this. I understand that you might’ve just said that because you’re still mad at him but I just want to let you know that he’s completely the opposite of what you’re thinking, and to be honest, you do know too that he just ended up saying that because you provoked him right?”

He said in a polite yet with a mix of frankness. He didn’t want to be this straightforward to her but he just can’t let her degrading his boyfriend like that. It wasn’t just Mark’s fault anyway, and the main reason why it happens in the first place is that she keeps poking him until Mark loses it.

Sehwa was actually surprised to hear Jackson confronting her like this as he’s has always been gentle and polite towards her. She can feel his blood boiling in anger even more as she thought of how that guy had influenced Jackson’s thinking that made him like this towards her.

I hate him.

She thought and was even thankful that that guy wasn’t around these days due to his schedules because if he is, Sehwa couldn’t promise not to jump at him in anger for all this stress he was giving her.

Jackson knows she feels extremely offended as the girl didn’t respond with that again and just turns her back, walking out on him.

Jaebeom who’s watching them in the distance saw how the girl started stomping her feet away from his best friend, getting worried all of sudden as it literally keeps happening every day.

“What happened?”

He asks as soon as he reaches his best friend’s side.

Jackson lets out a sigh as he leans his weight on the table beside him and crossed his arms on his chest.

“Sorry, I might’ve offended her,” He answered truthfully. “I mean, I do admit, Mark has a temper, but I just can't let her insulting my boyfriend like that."

He clarified and Jaebeom immediately understands it, that isn’t the first time Sehwa spoke ill of Mark anyway. Whenever she’s in a bad mood she’ll always mention Mark.

“Sorry about that, man. I’ll talk to her about it.”

Jaebeom apologizes, feeling embarrassed for how Sehwa was behaving these days.

“What’s wrong with her, anyway? She seems to be lot more moody these days?”

Jackson couldn’t help but asks because he’s actually noticing it too. He understand that her pregnancy was a big factor for it, but the way she keeps giving Jaebeom a hard time here by acting almost acting like that seems a bit off for him.

Jaebeom massages the back of neck as he copies Jackson’s position on the table.

“I don’t know too. She’s always not in the mood, she often looks pretty occupied too and when I’m asking her she’s gonna ignore me,”

“Is she okay?”

Jackson asks again and Jaebeom just shrugs his shoulder.

“Anyway, I’ll go find her first, you can start the lesson, I’ll catch up real quick,”

He excused himself and Jackson just nodded his head and gave him a tap on his shoulder before Jaebeom finally left him.

Where’s she?

He asks himself as he didn’t immediately spot her in the lobby, which is often where she was whenever she would throw an attitude and would walk out. Jaebeom then checks the other places where she would often go but she was really nowhere to be found, thus making him getting nervous all of a sudden, different scenarios started flooding his head and most of it wasn’t really that good.

“Woo, did you see, Sehwa?”

He asks when one of his colleagues walks passes him, the other guy told him no and Jaebeom just thanked him before he started slowly running around to find her.

Gosh. Where are you?

He keeps thinking about what could possibly happen within the whole time she was gone and Jaebeom really won’t get to forgive himself if ever something bad happened to them? He doesn’t want to think like this but it was getting him paranoid already, that he suddenly regretted not keeping an eye on her even just for a minute.

“Sehwa?” He called out as he opens one of the doors on his side hoping that she was there, “Ki Sehwa are you here?”

He cursed under his breath when he got no response, stopping for a while and fishing out his phone inside his pocket.

Pick it up, come on.

He heard the first few rings but got distracted when he suddenly heard it around him, and after a few seconds, it got declined. Jaebeom then was confused, he tries calling her again but this time he tries to figure out where he was hearing that ring. He looks up the stairs near in front of the room he was standing at and finally pushed back his phone inside his pockets as he walks towards it.

Jaebeom tries his best to keep his footsteps as quiet as he can, he didn’t even know why he was doing this or why he was being careful but he just followed his instinct. He took a nervous gulp as he finally can see some people within a few more steps.

“Leave me alone!”

Jaebeom’s eyes widens and his chest jolted in anger as he saw that same guy aggressively grabbing Sehwa’s wrist and trying to drag her with him towards the rooftop. He sprinted towards them and pushes the guy off, snatching the girl’s wrist away from him and pulling her protectively behind her.

“What the do you think you’re doing?!”

He growled at the guy who seems so shocked right now as he slowly picks up his balance and stood properly again. Sehwa was the same too as she really didn’t expect that Jaebeom would show up, let alone find her.

The guy started smirking and scoffing while looking at him after he got his composure back. The looks on his face made Jaebeom boiling in anger even more; it was as if he was mocking his whole, that he finds him so pathetic or something?

“Don’t meddle with this; it’s not your business, Jaebeom-si?”

The guy said and Jaebeom just didn’t know where did he get that guts to say that? Yes, they’re not in a relationship but everybody here knows what his connection with Sehwa is.

“You’re harassing the mother of my child, how the you’re telling me not to meddle?”

He answered as matter of fact with gritted teeth, pulling the girl behind him even more.

The guy couldn’t help but let out a chuckle when he heard him saying that. Sehwa was just looking down afraid of what could possibly happen.

“You ing know nothing,”

The guy said as he steps closer to him and rubs that in his face.

“Jaebeom let’s just go, please.”

Sehwa whispered as she clings to his arm and started pulling him away. Jaebeom honestly wanted to punch this guy’s face right now but since Sehwa’s already pleading with her eyes and that he really doesn’t want her to get stress and all, he just decided to glare at him one last time as he finally took a step backward himself.

They were about to leave when that guy suddenly spoke again.

“Don’t make me lose my patience, Ki Sehwa,”

He spoke, making Jaebeom stopping and turning around to look at him again.

The guy has both of his hands inside his pocket as he was looking at both of them as if they were so little against him. Sehwa clings tighter on Jaebeom’s arm and looked down, while Jaebeom really was having a hard time controlling himself into jumping right at this guy.

“I’m telling you, you won’t like it.”

He threatened as he arrogantly smirks at them one last time before he finally turns his own back and was about to walk away but Jaebeom had enough of it.

This isn’t the first time he had saw his face and every time he’ll be seeing this guy he always has that mocking smirk on his damned face as if he knew something about him, not to mention what he did one time when he intentionally bumped on him where there’s so much space around them.

“Tell me what the is your problem?”

He asks straightforwardly as he grabs the other guy’s shoulder to make him turn around.

“Jaebeom…”

Sehwa mumbled as her hands just slipped out of the guy’s arms when he rushed towards the guy. She didn’t even know what to do right now and his heart won’t calm down no matter what she does. She was so scared and worried about Jaebeom and her child.

“And what the are you even talking about?”

He added.

The guy was still looking at him in the same way. He sighed before answering.

“Why don’t you ask that woman behind you if you’re really that curious?”

He whispered on the other’s guy face as he aggressively removed Jaebeom’s grip on his collar before walking away and leaving them with lots to talk about, of course.

Jaebeom didn’t know but once he heard that it feels like something inside him had been triggered. He still feels raging in anger because of him but the strong confusion that he left him made him focus more on what he was talking about.

He slowly turns around to face the girl, and even feels bad when Sehwa flinches a little the moment they meet eyes.

From the start, Jaebeom would admit, he never fully believes everything, but since believing was his only choice and it was the only thing that seemed right to do with their situation, he just lived with it. He couldn’t prove anything anyway and wasn’t sure if he’s right, and he’ll just end being a complete when it turns out the child was really his.

Also, he had grown fond of the child already, the day he accepted his faith that’s also the day he told himself that he’ll do everything for his child. He even feels bad whenever he would think of the time that he thought the child wasn’t his. So, every time he would remember that he keeps telling himself that he should do better for him or her. That all he can think of is that he’ll give his child everything that he can to the point that he almost got rid of his whole suspicion towards her, but right now, with that happening, he couldn’t help but let that suspicion going back again, thus making him torn into ignoring it or questioning her further about it.

“What is he saying?”

He asks carefully, trying to keep his voice gentle not wanting to make him scared of him as it would affect the child.

Sehwa took a nervous gulp before answering. Even though his voice was soft, she knows Jaebeom was dying in curiosity right now, his eyes look scary right now too that he couldn’t even seem to properly form his words inside his mouth.

“I-I don’t know what he was…talking about,”

She hesitantly answered, the way Jaebeom was looking at her made her feel so extremely pressured right now as if she needed to be more convincing with her answers.

“I really don’t know why he’s saying that…and why he keeps bothering me,”

She added.

“Do you know him?”

Jaebeom asks, he was dying to have his questions get answered but he knows he can’t just force it out of her.

“Where from the same talent agency before…I got pregnant,”

She answered and was true based on what Mark had told him before.

“But we’re never close, we just worked a few times, but that’s it,”

“Why would he bother you then?”

“I…really don’t know? I’m not sure, she tried hitting on me before but I already told him I’m not interested…maybe, that’s…the reason?”

She explained and even wiped the single tear that escaped her eyes. She didn’t even know why she was suddenly crying right now? All she knows is that she was scared.

Jaebeom’s eyes softens when he heard her sobs, he closes his eyes for a second and opens them again. He lets out a deep sigh before he finally took a step closer to her and gently pulled her in his arms, softly patting her back with his hand to make her stop crying.

“I’m scared, Jaebeom…”

She mumbled, and Jaebeom just keeps whispering comforting words to her until she calms down a little.

“I’ll make sure not to let him near you, don’t worry.”

He said to assured her as he pulls off from the hug and softly patted her head.

“Also, from now on, don’t leave my side, if you need to go somewhere just tell me and I’ll go with you, okay?”

He said and Sehwa just nodded her head. Her heart suddenly started aching so bad when Jaebeom pulls up a faint smile and gently grab her wrist and pulls her with him down the stairs to go back to work.

She couldn’t help but suddenly feels all guilty while looking at Jaebeom’s back. She keeps on thinking she wasn’t wrong that she choose him because this guy really was the perfect guy one could ever have. He obviously not in love with her but was willing to risk it all just to make sure they’re safe, if that isn’t pure love and sacrifice then Sehwa didn’t know what anymore?

Choi Youngjae, you really are the luckiest guy.

She suddenly thought as she started envying Youngjae so much again for having this guy falling in love with him with his whole heart. She couldn’t help but think how nice it would be if that was her instead, what if Jaebeom was in love with her and they were finally having a child? Just how perfect would that be?

“Jaebeom…”

The guy immediately stops and faces her when Sehwa called his name.

“Are you okay?” He nervously asks as Sehwa puts her hands on her belly and slowly leans her back on the wall. “What’s happening? Are you hurt somewhere?”

He asks again, already panicking as Sehwa keeps groaning and hissing.

“It hurts.” She managed to mumble and groaned loudly when she feels something on her belly that seems like a strong pinch. “Jaebeom, my belly hurts,”

She said and suddenly started screaming in pain that set Jaebeom in a whole panic. He immediately carried her as quickly but as carefully as he can down the stairs, telling everyone that he sees in the hallway to call an ambulance or a cab or anything as quickly as they can, literally setting the whole building in panic.

Everyone started rushing somewhere, some started calling an ambulance, some grabs a bottle of water or something that could help to relieve the pain for now while the other ones try finding someone that could give them a ride to the nearest hospital. Even Jackson whom he meets in the hallway too started running somewhere for help.

“It’s okay, they just call on the cab, we’ll get to the hospital, it’ll be okay,”

Jaebeom didn’t even know what he was saying, with Sehwa’s screams all that he knows is that she was hurting real bad and that he was scared for both the girl and their child.

“Is she about to give birth?”

“She's not even 6 months due, shut up!”

“Guys, where’s the ing car?!”

Jaebeom shouted to make them stop panicking too because Sehwa’s getting even more scared.

“Jaeb, quick, we got the car!”

Jackson said, appearing from out of nowhere. Jaebeom wasted no time and carried her again, rushing outside to where the car was.

At that moment, Mark and the technical crew were getting ready to head out for another busy day but stopped for a while when they saw the commotion happening.

“What the? Why are they all panicking?”

One of them asks, Mark hops down the truck mobile to see what was happening too and suddenly gets nervous when he saw Jaebeom rushing inside the car while carrying Sehwa, and Jackson tailing behind them who looks scared and all panicky just like the others.

“That’s your friend and your boyfriend right? What’s wrong with them?”

“The heck will I know, I was here with all of you the whole time?”

He answered as he sprinted towards the crowd of their stage actors to ask them.

“Where are they going?”

“Jaebeom-si’s wife was about to give birth!”

One of them answered, Mark’s brows immediately meet each other. Wondering how will that happen when she’s not even on her due yet?

“You idiot, how many times do I have to tell you that she’s not.” The other one said, and turns into Mark to give him a proper answer. “We don’t know what happens too, Jaebeom-si just started running in the hallway with her wife screaming in pain, it seems like she’s experiencing some contractions on her belly, that’s why they’re heading now to the hospital.”

He explained and Mark’s heart started beating so fast in fear because no matter how much he doesn’t like the girl, of course, he’s still worried for him as a person and also that was his friend’s child so it was just normal for him to get scared for her too.

“Mark, we need to go!”

“Y-Yeah, coming…”

He said, still worried. Reminding himself to make sure to check on them later.

ooOoo

“…So there’s no need to worry that much, she just needs a proper bed rest probably for a week, also make sure she isn’t getting stressed that much, also, Miss please drink a lot of water, dehydration can cause cramps or contractions, too.”

The doctor said, she actually already explained everything but Jaebeom can’t seem to fully grasp it as he was still in shock and was so scared that something bad had happened to the baby. Thankfully, it wasn’t that serious, the baby was fine and Sehwa’s not in pain anymore.

He shakes his head slightly as the doctor calls his name again to get his attention. He apologizes for zoning out and just tries his best to focus on her words as she starts giving him instructions also what medicine to buy and how to take it.

Sehwa was just watching them, letting Jaebeom absorb it all she wasn’t on her best self right now too to understand everything after experiencing that excruciating pain earlier.

After Jaebeom and the doctor’s discussion, the two were left alone inside the room.

“How are you feeling?”

Jaebeom asks as he sat on the chair beside her bed. Sehwa can clearly see the extreme on his eyes it almost makes her eyes watering already.

“Better than earlier,”

She answered, and they got quiet for a minute. She was just watching Jaebeom zoning out again like he was thinking of something so deep that Sehwa doesn’t even have an idea what is? He heard Jaebeom letting out a deep long sigh before he finally spoke again.

“I think it was best if…you stay at my place for now?”

Jaebeom suddenly said that surprises the girl so much.

“Huh?”

She asks, dumbfounded. Is she really hearing that right?

Jaebeom finally wanted her to stay at his place?

“So I could look after the two of you better?”

He explained.

He still wasn’t sure if that was a good idea, but after what happened earlier, he just realized he never wanted to feel the horror of possibly losing his child again. If he needs to keep his eyes on them 24/7 just to make sure they're fine then he’ll do it.

“Also, please stop going with me at work from now on, just stay at my place and rest, I’ll call mom to accompany you at home while I’m out, don’t worry, I’ll head home straight after work and I promise not to go out during day-off so we can spend more time together,”

He said and just agreed to everything she wants just to convince her not to tag along with him at work anymore as he knows that was the biggest thing that was causing her stress. Also, Sehwa lives alone in an apartment, she wasn’t close with her parents, especially after finding out she’s pregnant with a guy she’s not even a relationship with. So, Jaebeom thought his place was the safest place for them, and she’ll definitely even safer with the care of Jaebeom’s mom.

Sehwa couldn’t believe it. At last, Jaebeom finally asked her to live with him, though not in the same sense that she was dreaming but still hearing all that makes her so much moved.

“Okay.”

She answered as she tries her best to keep his tears in, not wanting to worry Jaebeom even more as she knows the guy already had enough for today.

Jaebeom just let her rest for another hour before Sehwa started requesting for him to bring her home.

“Should we move my stuff to your place tomorrow?”

She asks excitedly as Jaebeom was pushing her wheelchair absentmindedly. She turns to look up at him when she didn’t hear a response.

“Jaebeom?”

She called out, making Jaebeom snapping out of his thoughts and looking down at her.

“Yeah?”

“I was asking if we should move my stuff to your place tomorrow.”

She repeated.

“Oh…yeah, okay…”

He answered and it was obvious he didn’t even think about it enough like Sehwa was sure he wouldn’t even remember that he answered her like that when she brings it up with him again tomorrow?

Sehwa lets out a sigh and just kept quiet for now, losing her excitement because of Jaebeom’s behavior.

She lifted her gaze on him again when Jaebeom suddenly stopped. The looks in his eyes made Sehwa feeling hurt too as he saw how helpless his eyes turn. She’s curious at first about what makes those eyes like that but when she follows where he was looking, she finally understands why?

“Youngjae….”

Jaebeom unconsciously mumbled as he stares at the guy that he was least expecting to see today.

Sehwa heard him mumbling his ex’s name, the way the two were looking at each other made her feel like she was sitting at the wrong place.

Youngjae was there, looking back at Jaebeom, not honestly expecting to see him here too of all the places, and seeing him with that girl in the wheelchair, undeniably worried as well, maybe not for Jaebeom and Sehwa but for the child.

“Done! Let’s go?” They all shifted their gaze at Ilsung the moment he steps out of the consultation room and approaches Youngjae’s side. “What happen to you?”

He asks curiously as he saw the look on the younger’s face, but he wasn’t that surprised either as he saw Jaebeom nearby with the girl.

It was Jaebeom feels like he wanted to burst out crying in front of him.

I’m tired.

He suddenly feels so exhausted with everything, like he wanted to just run into him and hug him so tight and go back to what they were before, go back to when they were fine, to when they were happy and contented just being together.

For the first after such a long time, Jaebeom just wanted to breakdown in front of all of them, to show them how much he’s tired of it, how much he misses and needed him, how much he feels so weak right now, he wanted to show them how fragile he was.

But seeing Ilsung with Youngjae, and Sehwa with him along with their child, Jaebeom knows he can’t. He can’t right now, even tomorrow, or the following days. He can’t ever.

Maybe it was finally the time for him to stop hoping.

Jaebeom did everything he can to tears his gaze from him, he started pushing Sehwa’s wheelchair again and everyone was expecting him to stop in front of Youngjae, but that didn’t happen, he just passes on his side not even giving him a single or saying anything, he just continues walking away as if they didn’t know each other.

Sehwa didn’t even dare to look up and see Jaebeom’s expression, because she knows once she checks it out, she’ll just end up pitying him even more and getting hurt too.

Youngjae, on the other, can feel something breaking inside his chest after Jaebeom just walks passes by his side, and he would be honest that he indeed expected him to stop and say something to him, so what happened just now made him feel so disappointed. He even wanted to ask them if everything’s alright, his child or even the girl? But the way Jaebeom ignored him, Youngjae sort of feels, Jaebeom doesn’t want him to talk to him too? It made him feels like they were complete strangers.

“Should we go now, too?”

Ilsung spoke to get his attention. Youngjae snaps out of his thoughts and just nodded his head, following behind the older until they’re in the parking lot.

“I know I should be happy about that, but I must admit, it pisses me off when he did that,”

Ilsung muttered as they were now both inside his car and Youngjae was just zoning out again. Actually, starting the night Yugyeom last met them before leaving, Youngjae started acting so strange like this, he keeps zoning out and his stoic personality keeps getting washed off at times, unlike when he first met him.

Just like now, Youngjae’s normal response to that would be him looking at the other guy with dullness and would just act arrogantly with the fact that Jaebeom ignored him, but instead, he looks at him with so much worry as if he was meaning to check on him so bad and looks deeply affected that Jaebeom just walks passes him without a say. He even looks as if he would be crying?

Ilsung knows he should be happy that that happens, that Jaebeom didn’t make any scene anymore and just left peacefully like that, but instead, he feels so pissed off by how that thing made Youngjae feel like this because for him, the younger’s feeling is the main priority. He doesn’t care what the reason is, he just wants him happy, if Jaebeom approaching him again would make Youngjae happy then Ilsung will do everything to make that happen, even if it hurts him, even if he wouldn’t be the reason why he’ll be happy, at least, he’s the one who did something to make happy.

He didn’t know when did he ever start falling this hard for the younger, but he knows he was too late now to throw this feeling out, and he’s completely aware this feeling would never be reciprocated, but he still wants to do this, he wants to take care of him, even without getting anything back from him.

“Why is love so complicated?”

He mutters before he started driving.

ooOoo

“Do you want to eat first?”

“No, can I head to bed right away? My back hurts,”

She answered and Jaebeom just nodded his head and guided her towards the bedroom. This is actually the first time, Sehwa was able to enter that room as Jaebeom would just always makes her stay in the living room whenever she would visit and would not let her sleepover, so she was feeling so excited right now as she knows it’ll be her bedroom soon too, but that little smile on her face slowly fades away when she saw a bunch of polaroid pictures of Youngjae and them together stick artistically on the wall.

Jaebeom immediately notice her change of expression and got aware of it when he follow
