Chapter 1: Morning Musings

Seungri stirred into wakefulness when a ray of sunlight penetrated through the slightly parted curtains, spilling morning and life back to his bedroom, and directly into his eyes. He really should learn to close the curtains all the way through.

He turned away, snuggling deeply against the soft sheets of his bed, willing sleep to take him back to the realm of dreams where life was seemingly better and painless, but the attempt was futile. His stomach rumbled loudly amidst the quietness of the room, demanding to be fed. Seungri rubbed the sleep off of his eyes with a grumble, begrudgingly accepting the fact that he is very much awake and alive.

He stood and walked towards the curtains, a frown settled on his forehead as if offended by the piece of material, and yanked it open. Light spilled in every corner of the room, painting it with colors so vivid, so vibrant, and so bright that Seungri has come to despise. He preferred the evening now with its muted colors and shadows because, then, the reds of his walls wouldn't be too demanding of his attention, the whites of his shelves wouldn't be reflecting the brightness of the sun consequently hurting his eyes, and the mirror on his roo
