"Hey, what are you doing here?" Chaewon says as she opens her door to see Hyewon standing outside. "Are you feeling better?"

"I was not drunk if that's why you're asking. I just went out to get some fresh air." Hyewon drags herself to the bed of Chaewon and buries her face to the pillow.

Chaewon follows her and sits on the bed, "Then why are you here? Where's Eunbi?"

"She's with Chaeyeon, they're gonna be in a room together so I'mma stay with you. The real question is how is you and Minjoo?" Hyewon flips to her side to look at the radish girl.

Chaewon sighs, "We're okay, we talked it out but she's still pretty angry at me."

"It's probably because of the alcohol." Hyewon says before bringing the blanket over her body.

"Yah! There's another bed for you to use." Chaewon glares at the older girl but it's uneffective because Hyewon just finds her cute. Hyewon motions her to join in.

Chaewon sighs and slides under the blanket beside Hyewon, they used to do this when they were youger. She missed the old times where they were more carefree and growing up was just a far away dream.

"Wonnie. Remember when we were younger we promised each other that if we couldn't find someone by the time we graduated we'd marry each other?" Hyewon wraps her arms around the younger girl.

"Yeah. What about it?" The younger girl doesn't understand why it was being brought up unless the Hyewon was sad about her getting a girlfriend.

"Nothing... I just remembered about it, that's all." Hyewon mumbles before sleeping, what she didn't know was that there were tears falling down her cheek. Chaewon notices this and wiped it off gently.

"Why are you crying?" Chaewon whispers our but was left unanswered.

Years ago...

Chaewon was minding her own business in her room when the sound of her door being slammed shakes her, she turns to see a fuming Hyewon.

She stopped whatever she was doing and went to her best friend, "Is something wrong?"

"Mom and dad want me to have an arranged marriage. They're setting me up in dates already." Hyewon says with frustration, this was normal for them considering they were in the business life. But nonetheless they despised the idea of being forced to marry someone.

"When?"

"By the time we graduate highschool, if I don't find someone to marry me then they'll pick someone for me. After graduation they'll already start planning the marriage." It was in a 4 years, they just started their first year in highschool. Too young for marriage.

Chaewon can't stand to watch the food addict have to go through something like this so she spoke up, "If none of us finds someone to love by the time we graduate, let's marry each other." Chaewon places her hands on both cheeks of the sullen girl. Chaewon's dad was a doctor but since he married Chaewon's mom who is a business woman he got into the business as well. Her parents were great friends with Hyewon's.

Hyewon looks at Chaewon with a confused stare, "Why would you do something like that?"

"It's going to happen to me also in the future, I might as well marry someone I know and care about. Besides am I that hard to like?" Hyewon laughs at her last sentence.

"Do you really want to? This is the nicest thing you've ever done for me. I love you Chaewonnie!" Hyewon hugs her best friend, yes she loves Chaewon but only as a friend. It goes both ways.

"Yeah yeah. Now I have to live knowing there's a possibility of us being together." Chaewon being a tsundere she is tries to fight back the hug Hyewon is giving her. But she too is weak against the foodie's skinship.

"Just because Chaewon made that promise with me doesn't me that I'll let it happen. As much as I love her I can't let her be stuck with someone like me. I have to find someone to marry." Hyewon sets a goal for herself, she doesn't want to restrict Chaewon with someone like her. Because to Hyewon, Chaewon deserves the best and the best isn't her.

"Hey Hyung!" Hyewon looks up to see her duck friend looking very determined.

"Hey Yena, ummm what's up?"

"I'm going to confess to Yuri today! I'll finally get to tell her how I feel and ask her to be my girlfriend!" Yena tells her and Hyewon couldn't help but feel happy for her but jealous.

Yena had found the person she'd want to spend the rest of her life with, and again, too young to think about these things. "Goodluck, I'm positive that she'll say yes to you." Hyewon gives her friend a hug.

"She has to because I have no idea what to do with myself is she doesn't. Do you think she'll actually like me back, it looks like she's interested in you." Yena suddenly begins to doubt herself.

Hyewon shakes her head, "What she feels for me is just adoration; besides, just by looking at the way she stares at you is enough for me to believe that she likes you back. Now go get her, lover girl!" Hyewon smacks Yena's earning her a glare.

"Okay, wish me luck." Yena takes a deep breath before walking towards her future girlfriend. Hyewon watches as her friend's figure disappears in a distance, she packs up her stuff and heads out.

How is she supposed to find someone to love? Does it just happen out of nowhere? How will she know if it's love? What if the other person doesn't feel the same way?

All these questions were playing in her head that when she looked up her feet has brought her infront of a PC bang. She went in and immediately started playing, not before ordering some food of course. She was playing really well in League of Legends, she was in a winning streak until one game. Her team lost really badly against a player called Saku34. Hyewon ended up glaring at the screen when the words DEFEAT displayed acrossed her screen.

Being bitter about her loss, she stood up to pay and leave, but when she passed one of the seats, she saw someone playing LoL as well, what a coincidence also because it was Saku34. She wasn't able to see properly the face of the girl sitting down but from her side profile Hyewon came up with the conclusion that the girl was pretty.

"Wait a minute! Pretty? What the heck am I thinking? I'm supposed to be angry at her for beating me!" Hyewon ruffles her hair in frustration earning her a confused stare from the person behind her. Feeling like someone was watching her, Hyewon turned around only to become completely frozen.

"Is there something on my face?" The person says while tilting her head to the side which reminded Hyewon of a cat, a very cute cat. Hyewon shakes her head after realizing that she saw staring at the girl in front of her, "No, sorry I was just spacing out."

Hyewon bows her head and leaves quickly, she did not want to embarrass herself any further. The girl just watches as the foodie leaves, "I wonder if all Koreans are weird..."

Don't get her wrong or anything, she just arrived in Korea a few weeks ago and she's trying to adjust to the people, culture, and language. Every person she meets is so different and well, weird. But everyone is weird in their own way. She smiles to herself wishing she could the weird girl again.

The girl was Miyawaki Sakura.

These are questions and answers Hyewon told herself:

Q: When does love come to us? Can we prepare for it?

A: You can't. Each love experience is different, it's unpredictable. It comes to you in the most unexpected way.

__________________________________________________

The next time Hyewon saw Saku34 was a week after, when their class had a new student. Saku34 was standing awkwardly in the front and it was understandable since all of the eyes were staring at her. Hyewon didn't want the girl to be bombarded with their classmates questions and scary gazes, so she raised her hand when the teacher asked who wants to help the new girl, who said her name was Sakura, out.

Obviously she wasn't the only who raised her hand, but Sakura was happy to find someone she knew even though she only met Hyewon for like minutes. Sakura gladly accepted to get help from the 'weird' girl, "I'm Miyawaki Sakura, please take care of me." Sakura bows to Hyewon before taking a seat beside her.

"Ohayou gozaimasu, boku wa Kang Hyewon-des." Hyewon tries to use the little Japanese she knows and greets Sakura.

The Japanese girl was grateful that Hyewon greeted her in her own language, she already got a feeling they'll become good friends.

_____________

It didn't take long for Sakura to get close with Hyewon, the two likes the same things, they had a lot in common, and they clicked really well. Sakura fit right in with Hyewon's group of friends, the Jo Yuriz.

Sakura couldn't help but feel lucky that she was able to find such great friends at school, because of them her stay in Korea was bearable and fun. She later found out that Hyewon played LoL, and she laughed because she remembered playing against her before and winning. The younger girl excused that her team was bad and that she was really good at video games. This lead to Hyewon and Sakura having video game nights, which Yena would sometimes join.

As everyone knows, Hyewon is clingy and loves skinship, and Sakura loved to receive it. She was happy that Hyewon would go to her for a hug or hold her hand when they walked. But she felt kinda sad that Hyewon does that with everyone, so she isn't that special when she has skinship with her. She started wanting to be the only one that Hyewon hugs and the only one Hyewon holds hands with.

"Aishh, what am I thinking? I can't change that of Hyewon, she's just naturally touchy and clingy with others. Who am I to change that?" Sakura puffs her cheeks in deep thought when she feels someone poke her cheek.

Hyewon was seen smiling at the Japanese girl, in her hand was an ice cream bar, "I hope you haven't waited for too long, it took kinda long for me to find this."

Hyewon opens the ice cream bar and halfs it, the ice cream bar that was held by two popsicles is now 2 halves with one stick each, for them to each have their own.

"Thank you~" They both wanted to meet up with Yena, Chaewon, and Yuri for a hangout. But it seems that they've arrived to early and decided to eat s

Chapter 17: I thought it would be somehow cheesy and fluffy story, but then I WAS ALL WRONG. What the hell. I just found out this story and spent my first tears reading the whole chapters in one day, in 2022 ㅠㅠ i don't why i keep on reading such an angsty story where the main character was so selfless and everything. God, but seriously this is one of amazing story. Everything is perfect except the ending part, i thought that i would be getting happy ending but no ㅠㅠ cleching my heart so tight because it was really hurt ㅠㅠ

Chapter 17: Wow this is the first time I cried hard for a fanfic. This is so sad but the story is overall amazing. Normally, I wouldn't leave a comment on a story and just read it until the end and move on but this is so great. I suspected it on from the second or third chapter(?) But I kept going thinking that I may be wrong. I also thought kangbi endgame but them didn't ending up together is wonderful too(weird but it makes sense). Good job authornim!
