I love fantasy. I can tell you now, a well written fantasy has a 75% chance of winning this. But not something set in an established world, it needs to be a fresh new world of your making.

I like angst, as long as it's not too cliche.

I like romance if it's done believably. No falling in love at first sight, no stalker romances, no weakling needs saving and finds meaning in love. 

I prefer characters with strength of character but with true flaws. No perfect people here please!
