Description
As rumors spread of a potion that was able to prevent rulers from dying, Seonyi’s father was assigned to recreate it. Years went on and there was no sign that the elixir was close to being done. In the later stages of his life, the King became senile and cruel towards his people. When he was sure that he had gotten the formula right, Seonyi’s father withheld it from the king, believing that giving him this power would only turn him more evil. He hid the Elixir of Life in his daughter’s hairpin. When the time came, she took the potion not knowing its true purpose. She is forced to be in a constant state as the world changes around her.

Writer’s note: It’s been a long time since I’ve written a fanfic, and my first time for K-pop, but I am an avid reader. Please leave comments, suggestions, criticisms so I can improve as chapters go on! Also didn’t start watching Scarlet Heart until after I started writing and didn’t know it was also set in Goryeo around the same time. It was a total coincidence, only chose that place and time because that is where the surname Byun originated from! Any other coincidences are purely accidental and I didn't mean to copy the drama.
