Description

Joohyun meets Seulgi, a friend of a friend, who's visiting Korea for a few weeks.

Foreword

My first multi-chapter fic!! Let's go!!

NotPurpleHyun
I changed “Epilogue” to “Chapter 6” because people were saying the ending feels rushed, which I agree, sooooooo maybe I’ll add something to tie it up.

Chapter 6: I like the writing style. A very sweet approach, and a sweet ending. Indeed, there is a conflict in the middle but it doesn't hide the sweetness of the story.

i liked how you were able to portray the moments here. you wrote in a way that it's easy to imagine (and feel). it's never boring. there is always this urge to read the next chapter.

it's not about the plot, it's how you make readers "feel" with the plot you laid upon us.

thank you for writing this. and please keep writing. i hope to read more stories from you.

Chapter 6: While I did liked the ending, I think it would have been better to have this as the ending chapter instead of an epilogue. It sounded a bit rushed, so a follow-up chapter would have worked well to cover up and touch up other things. Seulgi seems to still be lacking when she asked about the second chance, though I guess it can be excused as them having lost touch and out of contact with each other. It was a surprise meeting from Joohyun after all, Seulgi just said what was on her mind and hoped for the best that Joohyun also thinks the same. I really liked though how the title matched well and made things come full circle. First, it was Seulgi for Joohyun's sake, and now it was Joohyun who took the step for Seulgi.

Then WTH did Seulgi even started something with Joohyun if she is just going to give up and leave? I do get her point, but I'm so disappointed that she just handled things like that, making a decision without consulting Joohyun, then acting like Joohyun would just take it because it is "supposedly" the only course of action available. Like it is the only right thing to do. So irritating. She didn't even hear out, if at all, Joohyun's reason why she'd rather stay with her despite the hardships of doing LDR. Joohyun also got something to lose and it is not just Seulgi, but she is prepared to face things and weather it out as long as Seulgi's there with her to share the burden and everything else that might happen. Joohyun was did dirty by Seulgi. She fought her own insecurities and fears for the future in hope that Seulgi would do the same for her. It broke her to have to come into indecision regarding a life with Seulgi, and yet all Seulgi can give is this. Not even an effort to fight or make things work. Seulgi better get her priorities straight, do her career good, then come back to Joohyun a better and worthier person. Show some damn conviction for Joohyun.

It has been a guess of mine that Seulgi would leave considering the fic title, but damn did it annoy me that I'm not getting any vibe that Seulgi even tried to fight for them. She got what she want, then now that things aren't looking good she can go away just like that. She meant well, but it would hurt more to leave Joohyun like that, broken and alone, rather than having an LDR and getting into hardships due to it. It ended up looking like she just used Joohyun even though it was never the case. Well I hope that both of them don't get into a relationship with someone else despite being away from each other. It'd be hard, but they got to show that love they have with each other no matter how irrational it would look like. Like they aren't simply shoved away or forgotten just to have something new with someone else. That's ty. Gotta show that it's still the other no matter what. Having no lover or fling would deliver that message quickly right down pat. It might be stubborn or not sensible to some, but it'd be proof that what they had was real. It was the truth, and that they really existed no matter how fleeting and dream-like their time had been with each other.

Chapter 5: And then several months go by, Joohyun visits New York and looks around in sadness, thinking, it would have been nice if Seulgi was hers still to meet her and they would not have to fight the longing to see each other after so long. But reality is always different from dreams. A what if, a could have, should have, would have passes by in an instant. Sorry. My damn heart is torn into pieces. :’)

Chapter 5: ouch, that really hurt. Seulgi is actually showing how mature she really is by doing that but she could've at least tried to make it work even if just for a little while...
