*JENNIE'S POV*

"Khai, please stop moving. Let me sleep." I said as I tried to remove his head from my shoulders. I'm getting dizzy at nahihirapan ako lalo matulog sa eroplano dahil nga I get sick when I'm inside a plane or on a boat.

I just thought na.. since Lisa's rich now.. I would have had an excuse to tell my parents na I'm not marrying this Khai. Since the only thing that was preventing me from being with her was her status. Why do all these rich people only care about more money. As if they're not making too much.

I mean, I'm thankful for them, giving me everything a child can hope for. Except love. I knew they chose me because they wanted someone to represent the family's corporation and since wala silang anak, they decided to adopt. And they thought I was perfect for the show.

Another text from adoptive mommy. Gosh. I can barely face her since that day na nakita niya si Lisa. Sobrang plastic. She acted all happy and about me getting to see my long lost bestfriend.. pero she's the same woman who barred me from seeing her or ever getting back sa bahay ampunan, ever.

All they care about is how they look to other people. Kaya when they knew na Lisa and I were attending the same school, they told me to stay away from her. And now this, being engaged with Khai.

We're off to Thailand for a few days, para sa business convention kung saan businessmen and imvestors worldwide will attend. That's why my mom decided to show me off with Khai. To make them all know that I'm their perfect heiress. Which I'm definitely not. I decided not to talk to Lisa ever since, dahil ang kapal naman ng muha ko kung ganun. "Jen, are we there yet?" I heard Khai as he stretched his arms. "Wala pa. I didn't get enough sleep ang kulit mo matulog." sabi ko sabay irap. 

"Masasanay ka din, babe." sabi niya as he tried to lean in closer pero I immediately moved my face away from him. "Don't you dare." I said with a stern voice and he backed away. "Okay.. sorry." he replied pero hindi ko na din siya pinansin.

We arrived at the hotel kung saan gagagnapin yung event and we only had approximately two hours to get fixed. I wore a red silky dress and the makeup artists made me wear light make-up lang para mahighlight daw yung dark red na lipstick ko. Since we're going as a couple, Khai wore a red suit too.

"You look really pretty, Jen." I heard Khai say as she walked toward me. "I don't ing care." I spat at nakita kong kumunot yung noo niya and he looked really hurt dahil sa sinabi ko. I sighed because I'm not really in the mood and my headache's slowly killing me.  

"Look, I know you're not so into this arrangement--" he trailed off pero sumingit ako. "Good thing you know."

"Jen, please. Let's just get this night over with. Please try and be civil with me, for our parents. Hindi lang ikaw ang napipilitan dito." He said trying to sound calm pero I can feel the sadness in his voice. "Fine." simple ko namang sagot.

After a few last minute touch ups sa makeup ko, we decided na dumiretso na sa venue. I was holding Khai's arms dahil sabi niya ay mas kapani-paniwala daw pag medyo sweet. Ugh.

Papasok na sana kami nung marealize ko na I forgot my phone sa hotel room kaya naman I excused myself at dali-daling bumalik sa kwarto. After I got my phone which I left sa ibaba
