‘Americano?’ Jeonghan shook his head at the offer, giving an appreciative smile to his lover. He looked around, noticing there were actually more customer than usual. Signaling to Seungcheol to return to his work which earned him a playful look of disappointment, the omega returned back to writing his report.

‘Welcome!’ The usual greeting was heard and before he managed to put in his earphones,

‘Annyeong Seungie!‘ Jeonghan lifted his head to see the woman he hoped would just stop visiting the café. They were talking briefly before Seungcheol went to the back, and as soon as their eyes met, she gave him her usual ‘sweet’ smile. And as usual, Jeonghan ignored her.

She had no reason to be here. It was clear she was doing this to get Seungcheol’s attention, and despite knowing they are together now, Woo Ri still decided to make herself present in their lives. Jeonghan trusts his alpha enough to not get anxious as frequently he used to, but he still does. Because he didn’t trust that woman. And he knew she was not fond of him either despite her pretense.

Returning to his laptop, Jeonghan decided to focus on completing his task, and maybe do some reading after to distract himself from her presence. Per usual.

He didn’t realize how much time had passed before noticing a figure taking a seat right in front of him. Jeonghan frowned at the action, seeing that the person was wearing a black coat which meant they were not his boyfriend. And then he noticed the familiar scent – Seungri.

He cursed inwardly.

The alpha was obviously trying to get his attention from the action, so, not wanting to entertain him, Jeonghan chose to not say anything and continue with what he was doing. That was, until Seungri rudely pulled out his earphone.

And snapped their fingers. ‘Hey.’

Jeonghan glared at Seungri who had a smug look on his face. He then sighed loudly hoping it would show the alpha that he was not interested in playing his games and that he wanted to be left alone. Unfortunately, that didn’t deter the other and instead, Seungri smiled shadily

‘Looks like you’re all good now. I was so worried when I heard the news.’ He commented, but Jeonghan knew he didn’t mean what he said. The guy is one of those overly narcissistic alpha who only care about themselves. ‘If you had an alpha protecting you, that guy would be the one beaten instead.’

Aah, there it was. The real reason for this rude behaviour.

Seungri leaned closer, his face all excited as if he did not just reminded Jeonghan about his traumatic attack and suggested that it happened because he was too weak to do anything to protect himself. So disgusting. Hence why he never bothered to even look at the guy in the first place. ‘And Oh Sehun, that bastard dumped you right after? Heh, I told you he’s no good.’

Jeonghan wanted to laugh. He didn’t know Sehun ‘dumped’ him. He wasn’t even aware that they were ‘still together’ before the attack. Misunderstanding the omega’s soft chuckle as him laughing at his statement, Seungri suggested, ‘I won’t dump you. I got the guys, I’m even better than the snob. Nobody’ll mess with you. So? How ‘bout you be mine?

Again, Jeonghan refused to say anything. Because it was obvious that he was going to say no. What made the alpha think he would even consider that offer? Did he think Jeonghan is weak enough to constantly be desperate for alphas? No matter who?

And also, where did he get the ridiculous idea to suggest them being together? Because as far as he could remember, he never even spared the man a glance let alone considered being with him.

‘Huh? I’m better than him in bed too. Not making this up,’ Seungri laughed at his own joke, ‘You’re into rough right?’

No comment.

‘Or, you wanna go on sweet dates? How’s Guam sound?’

Still no comment. And Jeonghan was getting tired of listening to the man. He was about to pull his earphones back before the alpha stopped him, ‘You’re playing hard to get? Yah, you just got dumped publicly by Oh Sehun! You’re in the bottom of the food chain. Who do you think will want you now? Stop being a bi-‘

‘Jeonghan-ah!’ Both the males turned their heads towards the newcomer.  It was Woo Ri, she was standing right at the table looking at Jeonghan. ‘I’m sorry I’m late but, who is this? I thought it’s just us?’

The alpha scoffed at the interruption, finding it hard to believe. Jeonghan meeting with another omega was unimaginable. ‘Who’re you?’

Now Woo Ri was the one who scoffed, rolling her eyes at the question, ‘His classmate, and we have assignments to submit tomorrow. Duh. Are you a helper or are you one of his fans?’

Seungri glared at the female omega, not enjoying the blunt attack towards him. He was considering if he should make a scene, ‘So? We don’t have time so if you’re not gonna help then, shoo I guess.’

The alpha clicked his tongue, deciding it would ruin his image to go against a female omega in front of his friends. Had they been alone though, he could just imagine hurting her so good for her disrespect. ‘Offer still stands.’

‘And, random alpha?’ Woo Ri called as she positioned herself on the seat opposite Jeonghan. It surprised both males who expected to be left alone, ‘Jeonghan has an alpha now, so,’ she pouted, ‘too bad.’

‘Owh yeah?’ He glanced over at Jeonghan, face bemused, not believing it. There was no alpha good enough for the omega’s high standard.

‘That buff waiter.’ Woo Ri pointed towards Seungcheol who was now arranging the cake he just decorated in the display. Seungri looked displeased as he saw the waiter. But, without further interaction, he made his way back to his pack only, his attention was now towards the waiter – Yoon Jeonghan's new alpha.

Jeonghan couldn’t believe what the woman just said. Why the hell would she even bothered revealing such information? Nobody asked, and she should obviously know what her words might cause. Was she trying to start a fight?

On the opposite side, Woo Ri already made herself comfortable, her bag now placed on the table as if she was planning to stay. She then looked at Jeonghan, expecting any show of gratitude, which, of course, Jeonghan refused to do. Because, he didn’t need her interjection in the first place. He handled the man a lot of times and knew that the alpha is all talk. Seungri would not do to him.

Not enjoying the silence, Woo Ri tried to lighten the mood, ‘Wow are your suitors all that aggressive and scary?’ Then she bore a disgusted expression, ‘can’t believe you slept with people like that.’

He wanted to ignore her but he couldn’t. He always had something against her but had been holding back since she knew enough not to come in contact with him. But she stepped over the line thinking she can get comfortable with him, even commenting on his lifestyle just because she thought she did him a favor. Which, again he didn’t need.

‘That’s gonna be your future.’ He told her, curving his mouth upwards slightly before returning to his screen. She was trying not to show her annoyance but Jeonghan could just feel it. As the atmosphere turned back to peace, she again, started, ‘I hope they won’t beat Seungie or anything. He won’t be able to take it.’

Jeonghan remained quiet but her statement bothered him. ‘His muscles are only for display. I told him to build up cus I like buff guys.’

That was it. That triggered him. First of all, why was she talking like they are still together? Seungcheol is his alpha now. And second, his alpha is not weak. He has low self-confidence because of all her damned brainwashing.

‘Che-‘

‘Omo, are they trying to start a fight?’ Jeonghan turned his face towards where Seungri was seated, worried that she was telling the truth. The alpha and his pack were standing, just staring at Seungcheol like they were ready for a confrontation.

His heart started to beat fast, afraid that they would harm his alpha. Because yes, he trusts Seungcheol, but he also knows the man could never beat a group of people at once, anybody would. He turned towards Woo Ri who had her hand on , looking worried. Now nervous, Jeonghan brought up his thumb to his mouth.

‘Thanks for coming!’ The staffs greeted in unison which broke Jeonghan’s train of worries. To his surprise, the group was now getting out of the café without any ruckus. Seungcheol looked over at him, lifted both his shoulders as if telling him the situation was weird. He then flashed a smile towards both the omegas and went back to the inner kitchen.

‘God, that was close! Geez, you really need to straighten your life. Don’t want my Seungie to get hurt because of your disgusting past.’ It was obvious now what she was doing. Telling him she still had eyes on his alpha. She was openly challenging him.

Jeonghan glared at her. He wanted so bad to blame the recent incident to her, but he knew there was truth in what she just said. At the same time, he was not ‘her Seungie’. ‘Listen. You ing dump him for other alpha like he meant nothing, don’t come crawling back like a pathetic .’

‘Pathetic ?’ Woo Ri grinned, as if she expected that she would be called such things, ‘If I recall, you rejected him to play with those alphas too. And, omo, didn’t you get into a fight while at it? It’s all over the internet. We’re not that different.’

She leaned in, ‘My life is just less humiliating than yours.’

‘We’re nothing alike.’ Jeonghan gritted his teeth. Wanting to slap the woman.
