Jiyong POV

The next morning, I was with NEXO 2019 team, waiting at the company’s entrance with the new car that we’re going to examine.

“Oh! Isn’t that SNSD’s Taeyeon?”

“Thank you for taking place in this experiment.” I stretched my arm for her.

“Well you didn’t ask, you basically forced me into this…” she ranted in a low voice between us.

I just smiled it off, and opened the door for her.

“Just the two of us going?” she asked.

“Yes, they should rest at least for the day, it been months since they did so.” She looked at them and just sighed.

“Take care Executive Director, if anything happens just call us.”

“Do you want us to follow you with another car?”

“Don’t worry, we will be alright.” I closed the door for Taeyeon, “NEXO 2019, fighting!”

“Fighting!”

“Have the day off you all.” I gave the credit card for Park secretary. “Go and have some drinks all of you, you worked hard all!”

“Thank you, Executive Director!” they were at cloud nine then.

“What is this car? It’s weird.” When I entered, I found her mumbling.

“It’s called NEXO 2019, it’s an electric car.”

She just nodded.

“But what is new and different, is that it has multiple modes for driving, and the most exclusive one is hands-off mode, where the car will drive on its own, park and many tasks as well.”

“You must be kidding!”

“That’s why we’re testing it today.” 

“Are you sure it’s safe?”

“Then you would think that I would let you step a foot here then?”

On the way, it was awkward, no one is talking from us, and nothing is playing at the background.

So I took the chance and showed off our new model.

“Hey, turn on Taeyeon’s My Voice album.”

“Taeyeon’s My Voice album is playing now…” the car replied back.

She turned at me while frowning, “Turn it off.”

“Then can you give this more attention?” I told her, “We’re here to work.”

“It’s my first time, I don’t know what to do.”

“Alright, we’re going to turn on the hands-off mode right now.”

“W-What? You want the car to drive itself right now? This quick?”

“Yes.”

“But…” she as tensed.

I held her hand, and the hands-off mode.

She was blinking while looking at my hand holding hers.

“What are you doing?” she jerked my hand.

“I’m having my hands off the steering wheel.”

Then she looked at it to find that it’s driving on its own.

“Daebak!” then to find it turning on the blinkers, “It do that on its own also?”

“Your job in this car is to just sit safely until you reach your destination.”

“Where are we going?”

“Wherever this car decides to go to.”

“What? Are you for real?”

“Just wait and see…” I looked at her, “Let’s have breakfast meanwhile.”

“It’s fine.”

I grabbed the bag from behind and started unpacking our simple breakfast from the café under our company. “Here…”

She kept looking at it, is she touched that I didn’t forget her taste and usual order for breakfast?

“Hey NEXO, play some music.”

“Music, cloudy sky and you two, is just perfect.” The car flirted.

I smirked, while she was taken aback by the bluntness of this car.

And by that we continued our trip.

After couple of hours, we were able to see the beach next to us.

“Oh…” she took off her phone to take some pictures.

“Hey NEXO, park aside.”

“Aye, Aye, captain!”

“Are we here?” she asked.

“There’s something that I must take care of.” I told her as we parked, “If you want step outside for some air until I take care of this.”

I pretended that I was working and waited till she went down near the beach to follow her there, otherwise she wouldn’t let me to park and have some fun together here.

“Are you done? Should we go back?”

“No, it should take around half an hour,” I lied, “Let’s take some fresh air from here.”

“It’s cold what are you talking about…” she crinkled her nose and walked back to the car.

I held her from going and asked her to sit and watch the last winter waves of this deep sea.

“Ahh~~” she took a deep breath from this fresh, cold breeze.

“How are you doing these days?”

“Fine, without you.” she spat.

I just nodded, “That’s fine then.”  

“I wish I can run away with these waves.” She sighed.

“If you want, I can run with you.”

She tilted her head in confusion.

I went up and ran beside the waves down there.

“What are you doing?”

“You said you want to run, let’s do it, there’s no one around.”

“Let’s go now.” She turned to leave.

But I took a handful of the beach’s water and sprayed it all on her.

“What are you doing?” she was surprised.

“Come’on…” I signed for her.

“You just called it a war!”

“I did.” I said with a smirk.

“Come over here…” she huffed.

“Come and catch me!” I ran away as she approached me.

“Don’t make me run…” she nagged. <
