Two and a half weeks later, Daehyun was allowed to discharge from the hospital. Zelo quickly opened the door to the house.

“Careful.” Yongguk said. You were holding onto Daehyun’s arm. He stepped inside the house and took a deep breath *Being home feels good. I never knew I would miss it so much.*

“Do you need anything? Medicine? Food?” Yongguk asked.

Daehyun shook his head, “I just want to sleep.”

Yongguk nodded, “Yeah, get plenty of rest. Yeojin, help him to his room.”

You nodded but Daehyun pulled away, “I’m fine. I can walk on my own.” He headed upstairs by himself.

Disappointment lingered in your heart. Himchan put an arm around you, “How about we go get some rest, too?” He wiggled his eyebrows. You sighed and walked away. He blinked, “What? Was it something I said?” “Aigoo.” Youngjae shook his head.

Daehyun came into his room and lay flat on his back. He sighed in a mix of relief and exhaustion. *It feels good to be back on my own bed.* Daehyun glanced sideways and saw his mask. He took it and clasped it over his mouth. Relief filled his chest and a peaceful smile came upon his face.

*Finally.* Daehyun shut his eyes and went into comfortable sleep.

Daehyun groggily woke up. The sun was long down and the room was silent. *What time is it?* He checked the clock. It was nearing 8 p.m. *Crap. I knocked out for that long. Why didn’t anybody wake me up?* Daehyun sat up. His head twanged with subtle pain but he ignored it.

You were on your way up when the door to Daehyun’s and Jongup’s room opened.

Daehyun stepped out.

You noticed he was wearing the mask again and your shoulders drooped in disappointment. *He resorted back to silence again.*

Daehyun stopped walking and blinked at you. He looked past you. You replied, “Everyone else is still at the garage. They’ll be running late today.” Daehyun didn’t answer. You searched his face, “Do you need anything?” He shook his head. “You need to take your medication soon though.” You checked your watch, “I’ll go make you something and bring up your food and medicine. Rest in your room.” You went back downstairs.

Daehyun paused then went back into his room. *Crap. How am I supposed to act around her now?* He nervously paced back and forth but ended up sitting back down on his bed in dizziness.

Half an hour you came up with porridge and his pills. You softly knocked. Knowing he wouldn’t answer, you stepped inside. Daehyun straightened up when you came in. “I brought your food.” You came and set the tray on the bed next to him. You sat on the bed and handed him the spoon. “I hope your taste hasn’t changed.” You slightly joked.

Daehyun stirred the porridge. He had eaten in front of you at the hospital. He didn’t know why he felt so self-conscious now.

You could sense his discomfort. “I’ll leave so you can eat…” You stood up and headed to the door. You didn’t know why you felt crying. You just wished you knew what to do in this situation. You stopped in front of the door. A couple seconds later you blurted, “I broke up with Zico oppa.”

Daehyun stopped stirring. His eyes started to widen. Slowly, he stared up at you. You turned around and bit your lip, “Well, to be correct, he broke up with me.” Daehyun furrowed his eyebrows in fury *What the ?! Is that jerk blind or something?! How could he break up with someone so perfect?! I knew he would hurt her one day!*

“But…I’m not sad or anything.” You explained. His expression changed *What is she trying to say?*
