“Where’s your Wendy?” Jennie asked as she sat down beside Jisoo, who was just sleeping peacefully.

“Why is everyone asking me about her?” Irene furrowed her eyebrows, almost everyone asked her that. They were at Irene’s home and Jennie tagged along because she had nothing to do; Lisa had dance practice till the evening.

“Because you guys are close” Jennie said after pinching Jisoo to annoy the latter, at least she wanted someone’s attention and Irene was too busy sulking.

“She went away for a week, now please don’t ask me about her” Irene closed her eyes frustrated; her date had went well and all but still she missed Wendy and felt super guilty. God knows how much she cried that night all because she had pushed Wendy away even if it was a right thing to do.

“Or did you kick her out?” Jennie raised an eyebrow.

“Why would I do that?”

“Because you are capable of doing that, Bae Irene”

Jisoo groaned, sat up straight and yawned, “I don’t know what happened at her date last night, she came back all sad and I definitely heard her crying.”

Jennie smirked and whispered, “Interesting”

“How was your date? Was it someone unexpected or not your type?”

“He was a pretty well genuine man.”

“So why did you cry?” Jisoo questioned.

“I didn’t cry.” Irene insisted on that so they could stop asking about the reason for her sad crying session.

“If it’s about Wendy…”

Irene abruptly stood up and left the room; she was sick of hearing Wendy everywhere. She went her room and closed it, maybe she just needs to sleep and dream.

(…)

The date was unexpected. She had just rejected Wendy and here she is now; with a broken heart trying to date some guy. She’s afraid to love, she’s afraid to fall and Wendy is someone she doesn’t want to have regrets with.

“Hello, did you wait long?” Her date arrived, 14 minutes late and it wasn’t the nicest impression to her.

“Yes, waited for almost 15 minutes so you better have a good reason for it” Irene said, eyeing the guy up and down; he seemed okay, had a pretty face and fair complexion.

Bogum laughed, “You’re pretty straightforward I take, but Lisa had described you as a nerd with glasses.”

“I left my glasses at home”

It wasn’t supposed to be funny but Bogum light heartedly laughed, and gave her the menu to order whatever she desired. After talking for half an hour, Irene got to know that he was a well off boy with manners, but she knew the game well along. At first dates, even the devil could impress by the façade so she wasn’t falling anytime soon.

“I’ve never been on a date with someone so beautiful.” Bogum said, staring at Irene, who was just looking at her food with no interest.

“Is this what you call flirting?” Irene looked up and stared back. Bogum smirked and swayed his wine glass.

“You are so interesting, I like you already, Miss Irene”

Irene didn’t reply back, she took out her phone and opened Wendy’s contact. She was about to press call but then realized how stubborn she is. She was the stubborn one between them, and she knew it.

“Would you like some desserts?” Bogum asked her gently as ever.

If he can play the good guy, why can’t Irene? Love is a joke, she has a perfect player in front of her and she can’t let that go, two can play this game; game of restraining this feeling for Wendy.

“Of course, if you’re having then I will too.” Irene smirked back as she gave a flirty look.

“Well then, I would like to have some desserts with you.” Bogum said, slowly holding Irene’s resting hand on the table.

(….)

Joy had the best time of her life; she was enjoying the little vacation with Wendy and their dear unnie, Taeyeon.

“Unnie, this place really looks like England.” Joy whispered but it was heard by the both of them; who in return chuckled.

“You haven’t even been to England” Wendy said back with a small smile playing along her lips.

Taeyeon shook her head, “She must have seen the pictures, Wan. Don’t crush her dreams like that.”

“Whatever you say, Taeng unnie”

Honestly, Wendy was devastated but she was enjoying and uplifting her mood due to the two closest person in her life. She wanted nothing more than time with them; she wanted to make memories and cherish them forever. Wendy totally blew up by blurting out her feelings to Irene so she had to apologize; she can’t just sit around like this.

Even though Irene is harsh and rude, she can’t come to dislike the latter now at this point.

“What are you thinking?” Taeyeon nudged her, still with her foolish smile.

“That it was a great decision to leave for a week and enjoy.”

“Says the one who didn’t want to take a break, you were all sappy about not leaving your friend or someone and suddenly you agreed.” Taeyeon emphasized but still went on and on about it.

“Well, it just happened…”

Taeyeon watched the girl for a while and sighed, “Okay! After the sightseeing, you are telling me everything about this person you have a crush on.”

“What!? I don’t have any crush!” Wendy was already turning red.

“She’s lying unnie!” Joy said from behind, eating something.

Taeyeon passed Wendy a subtle wink and said, “Can’t believe you like someone romantically.”

Wendy sighed; knowing that there’s no turning back, “I can’t believe it too.”

After she goes back, will she handle seeing Irene? She looked Taeyeon and saw her smiling with Joy, oh how she missed her dear unnie. They were raised in the same orphanage and when Taeyeon got older, she moved out and found her own stand. She had a well off job and was living her best life, and Wendy always looked upto her.

After the fun walk and stroll, they were back at Taeyeon’s apartment. They were at Jeju island; Taeyeon actually got shifted from Seoul, so she invited them to enjoy with her. They rarely saw eachother s

Chapter 20: This story is really funny, I had a good laugh, thank you authornim. I love their banter, sarcasm and especially Wenrene's dynamic from the beginning until the conflict.

I felt frustrated though with the klimaks. The way the pull and push each other, I guess you really got me there. Ngl, I even need a little break for that, to calm my mind

I understand where Seungwan is coming from, she did that because she was upset and scared. I'm also glad with Irene's character development tho I didn't quite get why she left Wendy just like that and came back like nothing happened. If I was Wendy, I would be angry too. But then again, Wendy was being unnecessary dishonest about her relationship with Eunwoo, so I guess they just love being annoying to some extent

Overall, I love and am satisfied with this fanfic. Thank you for making this authornim
