How did she bring this situation to herself? All she ever wanted was to have a nice day, but it never worked her way. “I'm so sorry for what happened on dinner.” Yeri apologized, bowed down a little even though she had nothing to do with this particular feud. Oh, how similar Yeri looks like mother, Irene gritted as she thought. Irene gave a stiff nod, not enjoying this close encounter with Yeri, who had been waiting for her arrival quite a while at the school's front. And when Irene did show up at school, Yeri dragged her fee blocks away to talk. “I'll be late for class, I should go” Irene diverted the topic as she turned around and started to walk towards the school, completely not okay with the walking she has to do now. Yeri opened to call Irene’s retreating figure but no words came out. She just stood at that road, completely and utterly sad on why Irene hates her so much. “Rise and shine” Seulgi sang, definitely on key. Gosh, talents. “Good morning to you too, Seulgi” Irene said with a small smile. It had been a while not hanging out with Seulgi so she was quite at ease seeing her bear’s face. “The most amazing thing happened to me” Seulgi started, with sparkles in her eyes. It looked like Seulgi was up in the clouds enjoying the time of her life. Irene raised her eyebrows, “You got a new game?” “It's not all about game, Bae” Seulgi rolled her eyes, and ushered Irene to think about it more but Irene isn't the patient type, so she just glared back at her bestfriend. “Just spill it, don't be a kid” Irene said, and Seulgi nodded with a pout. “I met this guy at the supermarket, he's so cute. He asked me out in a date this weekend.” Seulgi jumped up and down with happiness, so Irene nodded along and clapped. She wanted to be a little supportive. “You went to buy pringles again?” Irene asked because that's the only reason why she went there all the time. Seulgi nodded, a little bit embarrassed , “That's not the point” As a queue, Wendy Son walked inside the classroom, looking a little bothered and out of breath. Irene couldn't focus at Seulgi and her rant anymore as her eyes automatically went to Wendy. “I searched the whole mansion for you.” Wendy said as she sat down beside Irene. “I came early” Irene kept it short and minimum, she didn't want her heart to beat faster and get butterflies. She just didn't want it. “You could've said me sooner, I thought something happened.” “Like anything would ever happen to me.” Irene said, her personality perky as usual. It wasn't new anymore “And this accident a few blocks away, made a traffic” Wendy sighed as she kept her head down at the table, wanting to sleep. “There was an accident?” Seulgi asked. Wendy hummed, “Uh huh, I heard a female student got hit by a truck. Seriously in daylight.” “That's sad!” Seulgi said anxiously. Why isn't there better rule with this situation? People really should watch where they are going. Irene didn't care on what happens or what is going on, but something really struck by her mind when Wendy said a female student, few blocks ago. Wasn't Yeri in her uniform? Irene started to panic as she remembered leaving Yeri out in the road few blocks ago. She grabbed Wendy, “When did it happen!?” Wendy stared at her weirdly, “Uh..20 minutes ago I guess.” Irene stood up, carried her bag and everything, “I won't be back, tell the teacher I'm absent.” “Where the heck are you going?” Seulgi asked but got nothing at all. Wendy sighed again and ran to follow a distraught Irene. “What's wrong?” Wendy softly asked as she walked, chased after Irene, who was speedily walking to the block where the accident happened. “I-I Where's the girl?” Irene asked as she saw the road all in tack, only few people stood there murmuring to themselves. Wendy didn't dare to question by the look at Irene’s face; which screamed sad and brutal. “Oh, an ambulance took her already. Such a pity, she was severely injured.” One of the locals said, but Irene couldn't rest. “Which hospital?” Irene asked and waited for the reply, she was already impatient. Finally, they answered and she rushed to catch a cab. She hoped nothing happened, she didn't want anything to happen. “Can you please drive faster?” Irene asked, biting her nails with nervousness. “Irene, what is it?” Wendy, who hadn't been invited but stayed with Irene, asked. “Yeri…she, she came to visit me earlier. It isn't her, right? I need to find out…what if something happened to her?” “Whose Yeri?” Wendy asked, oh right, Irene thought as she just calmed herself down. There was no point in telling Wendy right now when she is literally so scared. Wendy noticed the lack of answer so she holds Irene's resting hand and whispers, “If you need anything, tell me. It'll be fine, don't stress.” A slight ray if light flickered through Irene's heart as she gave a small smile and nodded. Wendy's hands was warm, so warm that she couldn't take the tingling feeling anymore. She pulled her hand away. “We’re here” The driver said, Irene pulled out some cash and gave it to the driver immediately, not waiting for the change or so. She literally ran to the entrance, while Wendy came along with her. “How..How am I supposed to know where she is?” Irene turned to Wendy stressfully. “I'll ask the nurses. Calm down.” Wendy rubbed her arms in a soothing way and went to ask the nurse who was standing at the corner. Wendy addressed the street where the accident took place and asked where the girl is being treated, and as soon as the nurse replied, she rushed to Irene, “She said the girl is in the emergency room. We have to wait.” “Can't I see her? Is she in critical condition? Should I call my dad?” Irene’s hands were shaking, she heaved a heavy sigh and closed her eyes, “Don't stress. Don't stress. Don't stress.” “Irene unnie?” Irene's eyes shot opened and there Yeri was, walking towards them, no injuries at all. Irene was relieved as she gulped and exhaled the breath she had been holding. “What are you doing here?” Irene asked after a while of thinking. Yeri bowed down to Wendy as a greeting seeing her next to Irene, “Oh…this girl got to

Chapter 20: This story is really funny, I had a good laugh, thank you authornim. I love their banter, sarcasm and especially Wenrene's dynamic from the beginning until the conflict.

I felt frustrated though with the klimaks. The way the pull and push each other, I guess you really got me there. Ngl, I even need a little break for that, to calm my mind

I understand where Seungwan is coming from, she did that because she was upset and scared. I'm also glad with Irene's character development tho I didn't quite get why she left Wendy just like that and came back like nothing happened. If I was Wendy, I would be angry too. But then again, Wendy was being unnecessary dishonest about her relationship with Eunwoo, so I guess they just love being annoying to some extent

Overall, I love and am satisfied with this fanfic. Thank you for making this authornim
