Jungkook's POV:

I ran at full speed towards the edge, my arm already extending into air.

But she had already hit the waters.

"Y/n!"

I didn't wait a heartbeat and jumped right after her.

The icy cold water made my skin, nose and lungs feel as if they were on fire.

I couldn't seem to run away from irony.

I couldn't scream, I couldn't call out her name.

There was utter darkness all around me.

And somehow... I had my worst fear realized.

I frantically thrashed about, feeling around for y/n, hoping... praying to God that I find her.

That she didn't drown.

I can't have her murder on my conscience.

Suddenly, her bright smile flashed through my mind. Her gentle touch, her innocence... her dazzling aura.

And with that, I felt my limbs grow tired and lungs fire up with lack of oxygen.

"God...," I gurgled out a name I hadn't called upon in so long.

A soft light turned my attention and I saw her.

She was floating.

I swam like there was no tomorrow, grabbed her arm and pulled her up, up towards the surface.

As soon as we hit the surface, I gasped and gagged. But her face was serene. No expression at all. No breathing, as well.

My heart hitting rock bottom, I desperately swam ashore and lied her down on the wet sand.

"Y/n! Y/n!," I lightly tapped hes cheeks but to no avail.

Her lips were already growing bluer.

Pinching her nose, and supporting her head with my hand, I opened ...

...and scooped down to resuscitate her...

...with mouth-to-mouth.

Again.

She started coughing profusely as she puked out water.

I made her sit up, all the while thanking God and soothed her back while she coughed.

"Y/n," I patted her back until she was only just heaving.

But to my utter surprise, she laughed.

I looked at her, shocked, scared and Lord knows what. Mostly, I was horrified.
