Getting out of his shower Baekhyun look at the missed calls and the message from Chanyeol, he open the message to read it

 

From GiantYoda : meet me at the church near the 6th street alone I will be waiting.

 

Baekhyun wondered talking to himself “did he found who the priest is!”

He changed his clothes and goes out of the room, leaving the house heading to the church

 

Arriving to the place Baekhyun look at the church thinking of the past “this is a bad omen”

 

...Omen is my luck...

 

He shrugs getting in, surprisingly he didn’t find Chanyeol

 

“Oh! What a surprise!” Baekhyun smirk looking at the familiar face in front of him directly sitting on the table under the Jesus statue that was lightened with candles, playing with a gun in his hand, he wanted to move forward but the male said

 

 

“Don’t Baekhyun!” The guy said pointing at the little confession room at the right and Baekhyun stopped at his track

 

“BAEKHYUN!”

 

 

Baekhyun turn to look at the voice direction it was Chanyeol voice coming out from that room that it obviously was locked on him because he keep hitting it to get out,

 

“May I know what the pleasure to invite me here? L?” Baekhyun said

 

Myungsoo or people usually call him L his the top student in the school, good looking, good grade, good manners, or that the least is known about him, he treat everyone with kindness and always help who ever asked for him, his best friend Chanyeol but eventually the two stop talking after Baekhyun death, his boyfriend is Eric or was Eric

 

The male named L sitting between the candles takes his full intentions when he talk

 

“Since you here” L said “let talk! About what happened since you show up Byun Baekhyun”

 

“And what do you exactly want to talk about? Am sure you aren’t in the mood to hear the story for my life” Baekhyun sharply asked

 

L was looking at him with anger “what did you do to Eric”

Baekhyun nodded understanding “so that the subject!”

“WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM” L screamed in anger, frightened, suspicious Baekhyun know something is off

“You were there with him when he break into the house right?” Baekhyun asked

And L laughed a little nodding “I saw him going in! But he never come out but you did! I waited and waited till I saw the police coming and then you and Chanyeol, after the police left and Kyungsoo arrived but Eric never came out”

 

Hearing the conversation between the two from the confession room Chanyeol was still trying to get out! If something happened to him he will never forgive himself! Never

 

 

“Maybe you should look inside the house” Baekhyun said in sarcasm “maybe there in the backyard”

“What!” L said

But Baekhyun didn’t stop “under the ground!”

“NO!” L shouted in anger “YOU KILLED HIM”

 

Baekhyun shrugs “of course not! Am joking! We were two in the house i shouted that I call the police so he run away from the backyard” he lied his not in the mood to fight someone has nothing to do with him.

 

“What!” L look at him surprised “but! Why you left!”

“Kai was unconscious I got scared that maybe they accuse me, since am the only one in the house so I left, But Eric didn’t show up after that?”

 

“No he didn’t!” L huffs “I thought you harmed my boyfriend”

 

But Baekhyun was dead serious “Now am thinking you will do the same to mine and I have way…way…worse methods then yours”

 

…playing with human is an amusement…

 

 

L wanted to argue if he was lying at him but he had a second thought when he look at him and in a split of second he imagine like he saw something else but nothing was there just Baekhyun standing, fear start to gets in his bones, he felt a cold breeze that made him shiver and close every candle lighten that church making them in the dark just the little moonlight that take a peek from the colored glass on top

 

“Am sorry! I thought you harmed him” L said putting the gun on the table and raising his hand to make him see that he have nothing then goes to the confession room and open it “Chanyeol is my friend too after all I won’t hurt him”

 

But Baekhyun didn’t move or speak he was just looking at him with a very bad devilish gaze

 

Getting out of the room Chanyeol look at him in anger “Man sorry! The gun was for protecting myself i don’t mean any harm” L said “you two can leave”

 

Chanyeol look at Baekhyun, how much he want to beat this L now but he can’t risk to stay here with Baekhyun and a lunatic that have a gun, so he moved to where Baekhyun was standing, taking his hand and leaving the place. Baekhyun was still gazing the male named L till he wasn’t in the view,

 

Moving silently in the empty road in the area till Chanyeol spoke “Am sorry for the trouble”

 

Baekhyun didn’t say a word he was thinking why he is angry! Why he wanted to kill the guy even if he wasn’t in his black list? He look at Chanyeol who was looking back at him and stopped “Why you called him” idiot! Here again he is giving him a chance to explain himself

“Who?” Chanyeol look at him dumbfounded

“Jin! Why you called him this morning?” Baekhyun explain

 

Surprised how he even know such a detail Chanyeol tried to explain “I..”

“You did to tell him I am the one? Right? You know I trusted you” Baekhyun said not letting him speaking a word “but you don’t deserve that trust” he said and turn to leave him

 

“Hey! Hey! Hey!” Chanyeol stopped him “I called him because I was afraid you did something bad to him! If I ask you! You wasn’t going to tell me! Baekhyun!”

“You tried?” The words he said make Chanyeol think twice of what he did “You said you like me! Why! We met a week ago” Baekhyun had to ask “aren’t you lying!”

“No!” Chanyeol immediately reject “I do like you I didn’t know how or why but what I know is what I felt when I had the idea of you disappearing!” Chanyeol tried to explain “it hit me so hard maybe your personality maybe because you saved me once and now twice! I don’t know but my heart is beating thousands of times every time am seeing you, that why I usually was get angry and fight with you for no reason because you remind me of that feeling that I lost a year ago”

 

Baekhyun raised an eyebrow “the crush you said you had?”

 

Chanyeol nodded “I loved the late Byun Baekhyun”

 

Baekhyun eyes got wide open! Is this some kind of a joke! Did he know who he really is? Is this a prank?

 

“I loved him since first grade when he sang the Christmas song to Kyungsoo and I was late by years to confess to him and now he died” Chanyeol said with a very sad expression “and when you show up all the feelings start to rush back! Not the same looks not the same personality so I know that I didn’t fall for you because you remind me of him or the same name or anything no! I still don’t know why but as I told you my heart did! And I won’t be late as I did before! I won’t be shy anymore to what I like, so when I saw you singing I take the move that I didn’t do once in the time it should be in the past”

 

Baekhyun was listening to every word he was saying not even knowing that a tear was already on his cheek he touched it and look at it “why am I crying!” He asked himself because he really didn’t feel it

 

“Am not lying at you Baekhyun! I swear I won’t lie in a thing like that! But also I won’t let you do anything bad I called Jin yes! And I called Eric too because I was checking if they still alive or at least not disappeared because I didn’t want you to be involved”

 

“And what if I am already involved?” Baekhyun asked

 

Chanyeol take a deep breath he close his eyes for few seconds yes what if he was? There is a chance of 50% he is he look at Baekhyun and get closer to him and closer to his face even with the different high he lean down a little to be closer “we all did mistakes somewhere in our life! But no I won’t let you get involved anymore! I won’t let you do anything bad because I know you’re not bad, I will stay by your side no matter what you did before because I know I won’t let you do it again”

 

The words made Baekhyun heart melt, how can he be so positive! Yes because he doesn’t truly know who he is! But still why! why you were with Kyungsoo that night if you loved me before? Is it the mistake you said! Baekhyun was curious if he sound so sincere why he did it then? But then the words himself said before, maybe he really need prove! Maybe he really need to search for the fact!

 

Nodding to him as an understanding state Baekhyun smiled “you should head home!”

Chanyeol shake his head a no “I will take you home!”

Baekhyun raised an eyebrow “I should be the one saying that since you went into trouble”

Chanyeol smiled shyly “Am sorry!”

 

“Let go!” Baekhyun said with a smile heading to Chanyeol house direction, the two move together in silent just holding hands Chanyeol was moving and looking at him but Baekhyun was looking down the ground, he looked so troublesome all the way deeply in thought and Chanyeol didn’t want to break the chain of his mysterious behavior that he usually do. he wondered if he should tell him about the priest but he just keep it till another time

 

Arriving to Chanyeol house after a half an hour walk, the two stand in front of his entrance door “I should leave you now!” Baekhyun said

And Chanyeol shrugs “the car is here let me drive you home now!”

Baekhyun refused “no take a rest!” He took Chanyeol hands and look at them where the bruises from hitting the wooden door in the church were obvious “and take care of these!”

 

Chanyeol nodded with a pout, Baekhyun want to leave but Chanyeol take his shoulders he lean down to his face and get closer to his lips

 

Baekhyun eyes got wide open he know what coming! Is he going to...

 

But before their lips even get touched with a millimetre space in between the house door got opened widely with “Chany...” and Chanyeol back off immediately and even Baekhyun look side way

 

“Oh! Shrap! Did I interrupt something?”

 

Chanyeol heard his mother saying standing in front of the door “Mom! This is Baekhyun”

 

Baekhyun turn to look at her with an awkward smile “nice to meet you!”

“What in the seven heavens!” The mother said “you definitely cuter then my cat!” She smiled and Chanyeol felt embarrassed from his mother comment

“Both of you come in dinner ready!” She gets back in with the said comment

 

Chanyeol who look at Baekhyun embarrassed his cheek were already red like a tomato what worse can even happen?, Baekhyun smiled a genuine smile looking how the giant was blushing in front of him! Maybe if he had blood in his veins he could be at the same position “Just tell her I needed to leave!” Baekhyun said

But Chanyeol refuse clearing his throat first “Ehm…she knew your my boyfriend that why she invited you! No excuses”

 

“Oow!” Baekhyun eyes got wide open “you told your mother!” He said in surprise and Chanyeol got more and more red now he even had the idea if people could explode! But he find it so interesting! Telling his mother isn’t something he would lie about don’t he? Maybe he really need facts in his case and maybe he will.

 

The two got in the house Baekhyun bow in respect with “thank you for having me in”

Chanyeol smiled proudly he hit Baekhyun shoulder with his elbow whispering “first time seeing you polite”

Baekhyun give him a fake smile “I have no problem to not be” and Chanyeol immediately shake his head a no

 

Going to the dining room, yes Chanyeol house was a big, large, and scream the word expensive, his not reach as Jin parents but his father is the principal of the university in town and that make him a quite rich,

 

Baekhyun look at Chanyeol father who was reading a newspaper he look at the two with half eye then back to the paper “you’re late Chanyeol!” He said

“Sorry Father!” Chanyeol said

“Myyy looovthe” Chanyeol little brother come and hug Baekhyun legs immediately, “we meet again” Baekhyun look at the kid he still not liking him to be honest and still he doesn’t know the reason

 

“Who are you?” The father voice said “I never saw you in town who’s your parents?”

 

Baekhyun bow in respect again, he sense some kind of anger and hate in the man voice, and probably he didn’t like him! So what? Who cares!! “Am Baekhyun and am not from the town! So you don’t know my parents”

The father put the newspaper on the table “sit” he pointed on a chair next to him Baekhyun look at Chanyeol for parts of seconds seeing the worried look at Chanyeol face then thank him sitting at the spot he choose for him and the moment he did that he asked him

“What can you do good for my son? Things like relationship while studying isn’t good”

 

And here it start the lecture but the nervous under his tone made the devil inside of him curious if he need a perfect answer so he answered “giving him a purpose to wake up and come to school because it the only place we meet, we study together and want to pass the year together then go to a university out of the town and have a fine job with an independent life because that my expectation and I want him to be there with me”

 

Chanyeol jaw drop at the answer didn’t he was just few minutes saying he was lying about his like for him! Now who’s lying about their future!

 

The father nodded “I appreciate your honesty Baekhyun but most of the kids these days just destroy their lives with a nonsense!”

 

Baekhyun shrugs “if they still alive it not destroying it a lesson for no more mistakes”

 

“I can’t agree more” the father smiled and the mother came in with dinner plates “we need to have eyes on our kids or else they could go without return”

 

Here it is the thing that bother Baekhyun in the father voice “you can say it” Baekhyun said out of nowhere making them look surprisingly at him not knowing what he is talking about but not everyone was dumbfounded because his father huffs “yes! since that boy died my son changed! His marks went down even he stopped going out from his room for a while and I don’t want someone to do that to him”

“Father!” Chanyeol said but his father hushed him

“Shshsh!” He look at Baekhyun “I know my son liked him! But he chooses the wrong guy because the right minded person won’t end his life like you said he should been consider it as a lesson”

 

Baekhyun take out a laugh on the comment, his words just backfired on him “I can’t agree more” and also Chanyeol father laughed at how the two of them repeated each other he look at Chanyeol “I like this one” he then turn to look at Baekhyun “I will be proud to have you as my student if you apply for my university”

 

“Taking an accepthanthe from father maketh you from family forever!” Chanyeol little brother said with a wide smile “will you marry me?”

“Yaa!” Chanyeol scream at the kid in frustrated that makes the parents laugh at the action

The doorbell rang and Chanyeol mother stands immediately to get it with “it must be big brother”

 

Baekhyun look at the kid who gave him a piece of his meat with the same smile that didn’t fade away since he came in! He even sits next to him letting Chanyeol sit far from him with a frown

 

“Hello kids!”

 

A man came in the room and Chanyeol said “uncle how have you been?” Baekhyun was shocked seeing who came in he stopped his chopsticks mid-air with “Oh No!”

 

“In the name of the devil!” The man said with a shocked face too “the grave boy!”
