IRENE's POV

"Paki-follow up na lang yung MRI and CT scan ni Mr. Martinez then pakidala sa office ko." sabi ko dun sa assistant nurse.
"Sure, Doc Irene..."

"Thanks!"

After ko magperform ng pangalawang surgery ko today ay bigla akong nakaramdam na naman ng pagsusuka, halos one week na pakiramdam ko ay parang nahihilo. Kaya naisipan kong pumunta kay Dra. Kim Taeyeon. 

I am doctor, kaya naman ng mapansin ko na this week everyday I am vomitting at nahihilo pa, parang alam ko na kung bakit ko iyon nararamdaman. But of course, I still need confirmation, so I went to an Obstetricians and Gynecologists to undergo a check up if im really pregnant or not.

After doing ultrasound, Dra. Kim Taeyeon confirms my pregnancy. I told her na wag ng iprint yung ultrasound photo. Kasi gusto ko masurprise din ako for our baby. 

Dra. Kim is my senior here sa hospital. 

"You're three weeks pregnant, Mrs. Kang. Congratulations!"

"I knew it! Oh my god, matutuwa si Seulgi nito!"

I did pregnancy test and it had two red line in it because eto yung ibibigay ko kay Seulgi. 

I felt like crying in happiness. Im a mommy now. 

And Seulgi is. Speaking of which, ano kaya ang magiging reaction niya kapag nalaman niyang buntis ako? We did this like 3 times since nung 2nd year residency ko sa hospital and now mag 4 years na akong nattrabaho sa hospital na yun.

(Yes, we did the Partner IVF. In this option, one partner provides the eggs, which are fertilised with donor , and the other carries the pregnancy. So in short, both kaming involved sa baby and kadugo si baby. and that is Seulgi's egg cell.)

Nag bigay ng reseta si Dra sakin, "Buy this vitamins for your baby, and you should drink milk everyday para malakas resistensya niyo ni baby. Iwasan mo din mag pagod masyado at magbuhat ng mabibigat. Come back here, every month. I'll check and will approved kung dapat ka na mag file ng maternity leave."

Nginitian ko si Dra. Taeyeon at excited na nagpaalam bago umalis, "Thank you, sunbaenim!"

"Don't mention it. Congrats, Irene! Mommy ka na!"

Excited akong umalis at nagpaalam muna sa mga senior ko para magpunta sa office ni Seulgi to tell her the good news! It will be surprising for sure!

Saktong meryenda ay nakadating ako sa office niya at may dala dala akong favorite niyang sushi and sashimi, na binili ko on the way here. 

"...so what brings you here, misis ko?" nakangiting sabi niya habang nilalantakan ang dala kong pagkain. 

"Ahh oo nga pala, wait iisipin ko muna.."

"Hmm? Ano yun, Hyun?"

"Close your eyes muna, Dali. May gift ako sayo."

Pumikit ka naman at nagpout pa? HAHA ang cute!

"Anong ginagawa mo, Bubu?!" Natatawang tanong ko. Nag-mulat naman agad siya at kumunot ang noo.

"Akala ko kiss, ano ba yun!" sabi mo, na parang na-disappoint pa. Cute.

"Hmm. No, actually its more than a Kiss, bubu.. *giggles*" 

Hinawakan ko ang kamay niya at inilagay sa palad niya ang PT na ginamit ko earlier, before I came here sa office niya.

She looks confused and surprised? Bakit ang cute mo magreact!

"Im carrying our first child, bubu." sabi ko, hindi ka pa din nagsasalita.

"C-child? What? Magkaka-b-baby na tayo??"

Tumango ako at ngumiti sakanya, "Yes, I am three weeks pregnant, Seul." excited kong sagot sayo

Then I saw, you were grinning from ear to ear. She's so happy. So am I.

Tinitigan ulit ni Seulgi yung PT ko at niyakap ako ng mahigpit.

"Thank you." She kissed my forehead. "Thank you for this wonderful gift, Hyun.." sabi mo na tumingala pa at naluluha-luha pa. "Magiging mommy-daddy na ako! Yes! Thank you po, God!"

I giggled and my eyes starts to water, "Amen.."
