(Y/N) POV:

It was a peaceful Friday night and it was dinner time. Everyone, and by everyone I mean my mom, older brother, younger sister and I was on the table chatting. Then out of the blue mom said: “(Y/N), it’s already August and I haven’t heard you talk about your upcoming trip for October.”

“That’s still a thing?” My older brother El asked.

Ah, yeah, it’s that time of the year where Ria, Tine and I have to make plans about our semester break trip.

“Hmm.. We haven’t really talked about it yet. We were actually thinking of going international this year rather than having a domestic trip.”

I headed towards my room and opened my laptop to check if Ria and Tine are online. I clicked on our group chat and started typing…

Buttercup (Y/N): Hola Chikas!

I waited for about a minute when *ding*

Tine: Hi Mama!

Ria: Annyeonghaseyooooooo!

Y/N: The mother dragon is asking if where are we spending our annual October trip this year…

R: I still have no money!!

T: Will auntie treat us? Hek hek hek.

Y/N: I have no idea. She just asked.

T: Well, whenever she asks where were going she usually pays for the trip.

Ah yeah, well, that’s one of the pro’s of having my mom. Whenever she asks me where we’re going she usually treats us.

R: Hmm. Where are you guys planning to go this year? Domestic or International?

Y/N: International, G? I’ll ask mother dragon if she’ll pay hek hek hek

T: Uhm.. G?

R: Yaaaaaaa even if she pays for our trip, we still need pocket money.

Y/N: We own a center, remember? 

R: Arraseo

T: Gotcha!

I picked up my laptop and went to my mom’s room.

“Mommy, I was wondering… we’re kinda hoping to have an international trip this year, are you going to allow me to go?”

“Where are you exactly planning to go?” she replied.

OMG THIS IS IT. SHE ASKED WHERE WE’RE GOING THIS IS GOING GREAAAAAAAT.

Y/N: Yaaaa. The dragon asked where are we planning to go to this October.

R&T: KOREAAAAAA

Y/N: Oki oki.

“Mommy, we’re planning… Korea?”

“Korea? As in South Korea? (Y/N), get my planner.” I immediately followed mommy’s instruction.

“Hmm… October… I could really use a vacation during that month since I’m jam packed with meetings and deadlines.” Mom said while looking at her planner.

“Call Ria and Tine.” She then said.

EEEEEP!! THIS IS IT!!!

Y/N: You girls busy?

R: Making instructional materials…

T: Making my weekly lesson plans…

Y/N: Drop everything. The dragon wants to talk to you.

*BAM!* My mom smacked my head as she reads the message that I just sent.. Hehe.

*Ringing… Just waiting for the other parties to answer*

R: ANNYONGHASEYOOOOOOO.

T: Hi Mama & Auntie!

Mommy: I heard that you girls are already planning your October trip.

R: Yes Auntie!

M: You know, I was checking my schedule for September and October and it’s really jampacked. How does free ticket so South Korea and accommodation paid for 2 weeks in South Korea sounds like?

I WAS IN SHOCK WHEN I HEARD THOSE WORDS CAME OUT OF MY MOM’S MOUTH.

She has always been supportive of me since I was young especially when she met my friends back when we were still in University. She would always give night out money to us especially when we were on our last year in the University. When we opened up our center she would still pay for our accommodations when we have trips. She even pays for our hotel when we have our Christmas party. However, I didn’t really expect for her to do such thing where she would pay for our plane tickets and accommodation.

T: Really Auntie? Are your serious?!

R: OMG Auntie!!!

M: Sounds like a plan?

Y/N, R,T: YES!!

M: Pack your bags girls, in 2 months we’re going to Korea! Just make time to fix your visa. I’ll talk to your moms before I book our tickets.

R&T: Thank you so much Auntie!!

M: Okay, bye girls! Go back to what you’re doing.

R&T: Yes, Auntie! See you soon!

Then the video call ended.

I looked at my mom who seems to be very happy and fulfilled of what she just said and wrote down to her planner about the trip. I can’t help but cry as I observe her face and I could see the wrinkles on her eyes and forehead. Then I hugged her.

“Thank you Mom. You know you didn’t have to do that.” I told her while I was crying.

“That’s the only thing I can do to repay them for saving you constantly when I can’t.” And she hugged me back and I can feel her tears on my shoulders.

“Besides, I earn so much. I have no plans in saving up for my death bed. Might as well spend the money that I earn.” She said.

“Thanks mom. I love you so much.” I said.

“Y/N, just promise me that you’ll enjoy this trip and not back out.”

And I nodded. Though, I don’t want to promise her that I won’t back out given with my condition…
