Sitting at the backseat of a taxi, she found herself wrapped in Wendy’s arms. She was plainly exhausted – from work, and from feelings – and she couldn’t help but lean into her warmth. Her head relaxed on her shoulders, one hand on Wendy’s back and another pressed against her wrist. Her heart tugged and ached but all she could do is to snuggle closer, even if it did nothing to soothe her.
