Come Home (October)
If It's Not YouIrene absentmindedly taps on her phone, playing a game defeating monsters to pass the time. She clicks on another power up, trying to focus her attention on beating the boss but no matter how hard she tries, her attention keeps on going back to the woman sitting in front of her.
Not expecting their plans to turn out like this, Irene is still thankful. A night out drinking beer or walking across city parks is good and all, but she’d definitely prefer a night in with the woman who makes her heart skip a beat with one smile.
Irene glances at Wendy, still busy typing on Irene’s laptop. Her report is due tomorrow morning and that’s the only reason they’re here in her house. Of course, Irene was quick to offer her laptop and her home. Anything just so Wendy wouldn’t opt to cancel their plans.
“I think I need a break.”
Wendy stops typing and cracks her neck. She leans back and catches Irene off guard when she reaches for the hand fiddling on her phone.
She’s clearly tired from her shift and is probably still annoyed with the last minute task. But she’s still smiling, soft gaze turning to surprise when Irene pulls her up and drags her upstairs.
Irene leads Wendy to her bedroom against her better judgment. The bed is small but it doesn't stop her from pulling Wendy in with her, lips chasing lips and hands tugging each other close.
