The alarm wouldn't stop its annoying wail and Vin is too sleepy to turn it off. "This is crazy," he muttered as he placed his hands over his ears to drone out the sickening sound of the alarm. 

Frustrated, he sat up and slammed his hand on it. There was absolute silence. "Who invented alarm clocks?" he grumbled as he laid back on the bed. 

Just as he was about to go back to sleep, his phone rang and he grabbed his head in agitation. "Can't one have a good night sleep in his house? Who the hell is calling so early by the way?"
