A Perfect Sister
Paraproia
As expected, I arrived late at her apartment. It smells so good, the food from the kitchen in the back, when I entered the room. Her hair was tied and messy. She wore a black apron and looked so busy with her cook, standing back at me. I felt so tired after all the works I dealt with at the office. After accompanying Krystal, I had a sudden meeting about one of the plans that suddenly had to postpone and it shocked everyone who worked hard already. But here I was, standing beside her, after my long tiring day. An inch away from her, the most precious one to me.
I moved closer and hugged her from the back.
"Hi, gorgeous... It smells good." I gave a peck to her neck.
"Baby... You finally here. It's almost ready. You came on the right timing!"
We both stared and smiled at each other, then kissed each other. The kiss I needed the most.
"You look so tired. Are you okay?"
"I'm good... Just not my day."
"Oh no. What happened?" She turned back at looked at me.
"Nah... Don't wanna talk about it. Just finish your cook." I gave her a peck on lips. "I'm starving, baby. You'd better save me now."
"Hope you like it... This is my first time to cook for you."
"I didn't know this American woman can be this sweet."
"Trust me I'm not. If it doesn't taste good, please don't complain."
"I swear I won't."
"Don't lie, Kim Taeyeon."
We kissed again. Suddenly, I forgot everything. I forgot them all. I just want to carry myself away with her.
"Hey, lovebirds!" Sunny just came out from a bedroom while reading a magazine. She didn't look like paying attention but she knew I was there. Later, I just realized that Krystal was sitting on the couch while kept on playing her phone.
"You know what? She didn't even realize I'm here. This lovebird..." Everyone laughed hearing Krystal, including me. Well, I really didn't.
"Deal with it, Krys... They're so in love right now." Sunny glanced at me and Jessica. "Wait until Jessica yells at her with her dolphin scream."
"You're right..." Krystal and Sunny laughed so hard.
In a moment, I snapped a quick change of expression showed by Krystal. I decided to walk closer and sat down beside her.
"Are you okay?"
"I-I... I'm okay, unnie. Do I look like I'm not?"
"Kinda. After that lunch-"
"I'm okay. Really." She made a gesture for me not to talk about it. Of course. I promised her already that I won't be telling anyone.
"What happened?" I realized Jessica was standing right behind me.
"Nothing, unnie."
"Yah... Soojung. You don't lie to me." She questioned me after. "Baby, tell me, what happened?"
"It was nothing."
"Explain what is that 'nothing' then." She was so persistent. I needed to think hard.
"She just broke up with her boyfriend." I could see Krystal's eyes got widened. "And she spent days drinking alcohol more than she had to. Today she's actually feel unwell. I told her to got to a hospital but she refused it. She said she's okay."
"Really? Why didn't you tell me?" Jessica moved closer and caressed Krystal's right cheek.
"I'm okay, unnie... This shall pass too..."
"I'm not gonna ask for now." She hugged Krystal softly. "Let's talk about this later. Are you hungry?"
"I'm waiting for you to cook a kimchi fried rice since forever, don't you see?"
"Now I know you're fine, you fussy girl."
"You inherited me this. It's in my blood." Both have laughed when they stared at each other. What a strong bond they have.
"It's gonna be okay, baby..." She hugged and Krystal's hair softly. "Don't worry I'm here. I'm sorry I didn't have time to accompany you today. If only I knew..."
"That's okay. I have another sister now." She glanced and smiled at me. "Another perfect sister."
"Of course. I love you, and her." Jessica elbowed me a little.
"You both are the most important persons in my life." She added, without looking at
