Jessica's voice was pretty clear and bold when I told her story about me who met Kai that day at the restaurant. I was okay with that, as usual. Honestly, I started to wonder why can't I keep anything from Jessica. Maybe I should've not told her, or maybe I just overwhelmed. I had no clue. As usual. I looked at our Italy trip's itinerary Jessica sent to me an hour ago. Ah... She clearly knows where she wants to go. And I'll just follow it. As usual. I started feeling uncomfortable. I couldn't explain why.

Beep... Beep...
I looked at my phone. It was Krystal.

"Unnie..." That lowkey voice.
"Hey? I heard you're back in Seoul."
"Yeah..."
"Are you okay?"
"I just feel a bit anxious."
"Where are you?"
"In my room, my apartment." It didn't sound okay, honestly. "I phoned Jessica unnie but I guess she'll come home late. She promised to come soon... but I really need somebody to talk to right now. I feel a bit scared right now."
"Have you eaten yet?"
"Don't want it."
"I'll be there soon. Do you want me to buy something?"
"..."
"Ramyeon?"
"Sounds good." She was happier.
"Alright."


After hanging out the phone, I sent a text to Jessica, telling her I'll be at Krystal's right away and will be waiting for her. She answered it shortly. I guess she's really busy at that time. I packed my bag and left the office as soon as possible. At the convenience store near to the metro station, I saw that girl again. Stephanie Hwang.

She took a pack of cigarettes and stunned instantly when she found me standing behind her.
"I'm legal. I'm 21 years old. I can smoke."
"You surely can do whatever you want." I moved to grab packs of ramyeon and quickly headed to the cashier guy.
"I know you're thinking I'm a bad girl."
"Yah... I don't..."
"It's okay if you think so. Like everyone does." She turned back and approached me.

I sighed.
"What's your problem?"
"Do you really think I'm a bad girl, Taeyeon-ssi?"
"I don't..."
"Surprisingly." She smirked.

She annoyed me the most I couldn't handle.
"I don't... I don't think of you."


I gave the money to the cashier and left quickly. For a weird reason, I felt so bad of what I said to her, but I really didn't have any interest to involve in any other drama since I had a lot those days. I looked at my watch and walked quickly to the metro station. And, for another weird reason, I turned back and looked at the convenient store I saw her standing still and was looking at... me?


It was an indescribable weird feeling but I stunned for secs looking at her from the distance.



 

I pushed the doorbell twice before Krystal opened it and greeted me with a weak smile.

"You're fast, unnie..."
"I could still manage to grab ramyeon for you."
"Yeah... I'm hungry. I just realized."
"Me too." I walked to the kitchen. "I'll cook for both of us."
