Author's Note: Something went wrong after I posted Chapter Sixteen last night. Only half of the chapter was posted :( then it turned into draft. But Anyway, I reposted it so you guys can read again. :D 

Eunhee was walking by the pool of the Zhang Intercontinental Hotel at Beverly Hills. It was very early in the morning (it's not even six a.m. yet), but she can no longer sleep.

She dreamt of them again, the people who she left in Korea. 

In her dream, she was presenting in front of her class back in Shinhwa High School. Everything was going so well and her classmates were applauding her, when suddenly, Miyeon walked to where she is and threw a raw egg at her. After that, it was Junmyeon and Sehun who went to the podium and threw a tomato at her, then her parents also threw eggs at her head. Soon, everyone inside the classroom were throwing raw foods at her, so she decided to run from the classroom. However, waiting for her outside the classroom is her Uncle Seungho. 

She woke up sweating early this morning and decided to take a walk. She almost lost her balance and fell to the pool when someone pulled her. 

"Hey? You okay?" asked the person who pulled her. 

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine, Luhan ge." 

Luhan just nodded and smiled at the younger girl. "Can't sleep anymore?" They started walking towards the garden. Luhan, as Eunhee found out, knows how to speak Korean and is very fluent with speaking the language. It was almost as if he was raised there himself. According to Minseok, when they were kids, Luhan used to throw tantrums whenever he is not with Minseok, so he had to take Luhan even in his Korean language classes. 

"Yeah. I had a not so pleasant dream." Eunhee sighed. 

The male winced at the girl's facial expression. "I'm sorry. Minseok told me that you had a tough time back in Korea." 

"You have no idea." 

Eunhee decided not to tell him anything more, and Luhan decided not to pry. Afterall, the girl would tell him more about her past life if she wanted to. He didn't want to burden Eunhee and bring back bad memories by asking her. The two started walking in silence. 

"You know, Minseok always wanted a sibling." Luhan suddenly commented. "When we were younger, he used to whine telling your parents to buy him a baby sibling." Luhan chuckled. "You have been good for him you know?" 

"Huh? What do you mean?" 

"He smiles more now. And he became a little less cold and a little more empathetic." Luhan answered. "And I have to thank you for that, Kim Eunhee. For Yixing too as well." 

"Yixing too?"

"He became less of a statue ever since you arrived. You know before, he used to just look at us blankly. He became more responsive and happy now." 

Eunhee smiled, remembering the gentle and kind boy, and his eyes filled with happiness and his dimple that appears whenever he smiles. "I really like it when he smiles or laughs. I hope he does it more often." 

"Oh, I'm sure that he will." Luhan nodded. "You've had a really good impact on my dear friends who are like my brothers, Emily. And for that, I would like to thank you." 

Eunhee stopped walking and looked at Luhan. He looked really genuine and honest and the girl was not able to help herself. She started to cry. 

"Hey, Emily! Oh my gosh, I am so sorry." Luhan started to pacify the crying girl.

"I'm sorry. I'm- I just..." Eunhee exhaled. "It was the first time that someone has called me a good influence. I'm sorry I just can't help myself from crying. You are too kind, Luhan ge." 

"I'm just telling the truth." The boy shrugged. "And, Emily, you are my sister now. Whatever you need. I will be here okay? Treat me as if I am an extension of your Minseok oppa. Alright?" 

Eunhee nodded. She was still very lucky. Even if she had a tough couple of months in Busan, she still found her family and a new group of friends who treasure her. 

"Kris ge, you have something on your-" 

"TAKE YOUR HAND OFF OF HIM!" 

Eunhee felt herself being pushed by someone. She almost fell on the ground if not for Yixing who caught her from behind. They were standing at the front lobby of the hotel waiting for the valet to bring their cars out front. It was their third and last day in California, and they are going to Universal Studios Hollywood then camp out later tonight. 

"HEY!" Eunhee heard two voices shout. It was unmistakeably the voice of the man behind her and of her brother. 

In front of her is a breathtakingly beautiful girl who has a model-like physique. To Eunhee's surprise, the girl was glaring at her. 

"Umi Ryuzaki! What do you think you're doing?!" boomed Kris. "And why are you here?!" 

"I went to visit your penthouse in Manhattan yesterday, but they said that you were not there! I actually thought that the doorman was just fooling me, but Auntie said that you are in California vacationing with the boys. Why did you not tell me?" The girl, whose name is apparently Umi, pouted. 

"Hey! Ryuzaki! How about you apologize to my sister first?" asked Minseok as he looked at Eunhee. 

"Your sister?" Umi scoffed as she looked at Eunhee. "Why would I apologize? She shouldn't have gone anywhere near Kris!"

"Umi," Kris sighed. "You shouldn't have come here."

"And why not? So that this little girl could put her hands all over you?" Umi asked furiously. 

The gears in Eunhee's mind started working, and she suddenly figured out what was happening. Afterall, she is not new to this kind of situation. 

So that's how annoying I was when I kept on chasing Sehun and scaring away those girls. She thought to herself. 

Eunhee's self dialogue suddenly stopped when she heard a hard voice behind her. "Apologize to Eunhee, Ryuzaki Umi." 

She felt herself freeze at how cold Yixing sounded. She never heard him like that before. He was always so kind and gentle and a little bit eccentric when he was with her. 

Umi scoffed. "I won't." She tried to push past Eunhee when Yixing suddenly caught her arm. "I said, apologize!" 

"Yixing. It's okay. She doesn't need to-" 

"That's enough, Lay." Kris said with the same iciness. "You're hurting her." He said as he took Umi's arm out of Yixing's grasp. The younger boy was still looking contemptuously to Umi. 

"Hey, Yixing." Eunhee said as she tried to get his attention. "I'm okay. No need to worry." 

"But she should have apologized! You almost fell!" 

"But you were able to catch me, didn't you?" she said with a smile. 

"Fine, then."
