Hoshi popped his neck as the beat dropped and the music stopped playing.

His sweat is dripping off his face, and his hair is wet now.

He’s been practicing nonstop for 4 hours and it’s already 10 pm according to the big clock on the stage of the stadium.

“You’re smiling, that’s a good thing right?” Hoshi was startled in hearing a voice.

He didn’t know he’s with an audience.  He looked at where the voice came from and saw Chae sitting on the bleachers; her knees are up, her head resting on it as she looks at him.

“Aren’t you supposed to be asleep now?” Hoshi asked.

He pointed at the towel next to her. She got the clue and throws it at him.

“Yeah, but Minghao messaged me that he saw you practicing at the stadium so I decided to watch”

“How long have you been there?"

“For a while”

Hoshi raised both his eyebrows in disbelief; he shook his head smiling while he dries his hair.

“What’d you think then?”

Chae pretended to think, before she smiles and laughs her dorky laugh; her hair swinging to her face.

“You’re weird Chae”

“Me? Jinja? You’re more weird than me kid”

“Ani, remember the time you pranked my sister when you went over to our house?”

“I was only playing the piano and you laughed harder than me” she angled her neck and started imitating his laugh.

“I do not sound like that”

“You do really”

He shook his head.

“You think you got an adorable laugh?"

“Yup”

He smiles “Yeah you do”

He turned around to retrieve his phone on the ground with the speaker he borrowed from Minghao.

“Wait did you just agree?”

“Come one, I’ll walk you to your dorms”

Chaeyeon

“I tried to ring him but he’s not answering” Chae looked to her sides as if she can miraculously make Hoshi appear.

“Can you look for him? There are people who wanted to meet him”

“I’ll go do that”

She hurried her way out of the backstage. She supposed to meet Kura but she needs to find a hamster first.

Now where could he be?

She stopped for a minute to think before she realized that he told her where he be, Chae scrunched her face and hurried her way to the Cafeteria.

“I’m really sorry, but I like someone else” I bowed a bit to the girl, I knew her from a few of my class but I guess she was really shy because I can’t really remember speaking to her.

“No its okay really”

“Thank you” I repeated before she went away.

I ruffled my hair before I turn around. 
I suddenly remember a confession that happened years ago. 
 

Too bad that didn’t went well. 

“Soonyoung”

Speaking of the devil, Chaeyeon’s here. She rarely calls me by my original name. 

As soon as she’s near me she grabbed my hand and drags me away.

“Sensei is looking for you at the stage” she said.

I let her grab me before she released my hand and we run towards the stage. 

We stopped running when we’re near the Stage.

“The competition started” she remarked. I looked at the stage and she’s right.

It’s the usual competition SVT Uni is hosting for Highschools near the university.

It’s the last competition I joined to in highschool, the one where Chae is supposed to hear my answer if she beats me.

She looked at me.

“Don’t start I know you beat me there, good job to you buddy”

"I'm not gonna tease you second placer"

"Haha, really"

Before I know it I'm already saying what I was thinking.

“I was not happy by that win though”

That made her scrunch her face.

“What’d you mean?” she asked.

“Nothing” I denied and run ahead of her.

“YAH HOSHI” she called.
