You were looking through your revision notes for possibly the fifteenth time in the night, but it still wasn't sticking in your head. You had an exam the next day in your profiling course and had been attempting to revise for a whole four hours, but it wasn't possible because of the constant crying coming from the next room.

Your oldest brother, Kim Minhyuk, was on a business trip with your dad overseas. He left his wife and two kids behind and your sister-in-law, Lee Heejin, was a crying mess. You decided to give up studying altogether for the night because the nonstop sniffles were making it hard for you to concentrate at all.

You packed away your revision materials into your backpack and picked up your discarded mobile phone to switch it on while you went to change and wash up for bed.

When you returned to your room, you heard the ding of your phone, indicating the arrival of a new message. You turned off the light switch and slipped into your bed after turning the lamp on.
