The blare of the alarm clock fills the massive bedroom that was once void of any sound, save from soft snores coming from the king-sized bed. It was not until the sixth buzz that a hand emerges from the sheets as it heavily reaches out for the digital clock before expertly hitting the “off” button without looking at it, the hand then slides off the clock before dropping carelessly to the side. The buzzing seized as immediately as it surfaced but the occupant has yet to peek her eyes open.

Groaning, Yeji slowly blinks her eyes open but the first thing she sees amongst the darkness is a blurry red glare. Squinting her eyes, she readjusts her vision until the blur slowly turns into actual numbers that read 5:00.

Yeji softly sighs. That explains the darkness. 

For the past months, no, years, of being an idol, the idea of a consistent schedule is very much negligible now, especially to a veteran like her. Time doesn’t apply to her routines anymore because the only constant about it is change. There would be days that she wakes up at 2 in the morning for a schedule at 5 or return home as late as 3. Yeji made it a habit to not set her alarm on a constant time but instead set it at night depending on her first schedule for the following day. Now, it seems that dawn is just about to break which explains the lack of light in her room. She rattles her memory from last night as to why she set it on 5 and remembers that she has to meet a director for a drama contract at 8.

The name Hwang Yeji has already engraved a big name on the K-POP industry and even Korea as a whole. Once coming across it, people can’t help but feel undeniable respect and admiration due to her massive contributions not only to the success of K-POP dominating the West, but also boosting the country’s economy and tourism in the process. However, despite her unparalleled talent and the greatness she achieved, Yeji has yet to pull her feet off the ground. The humility Yeji posseses made her even greater than she already is, further proving her worth of being called Idol of the Idols and Nation’s Sweetheart.

Turning her body, Yeji now stares at the ceiling above.

No matter what, she would always live her life in necessary transparency. She doesn’t want to show the world that is not Hwang Yeji. Who she is behind cameras would be the Yeji the fans will see. They deserve to know, and love, the person she is. However…

Yeji gently turns around to face the other side of her bed and a fond smile immediately breaks on her face.

There’s only one thing she keeps hidden from the world,

She reaches out, mindful to be as tender as possible, and softly brushes the stray hair framing her wife’s sleeping face.

She is secretly married to the country’s youngest conglomerate owner, Choi Jisu.

Final’s coming up so I’m pretty much busy and the concept here was just made on a whim to be honest so I don’t know how to cook it but I also don’t want to forget it so tada, it got written on digital paper.
