Foreword

"We can't continue this chaerin.  Let's end whatever we have right now before things gets complicated " he said  as he looks away, not wanting to see the pain in her eyes.he knows he couldnt stop himself the moment their eyes meet.  "But i love you jiyong.  I know deep in your heart you also love me right? " she points his heart while tears keeps cascading down on her pale white cheek. Chaerin couldn't hold the pain she feels anymore and had let her emotions take over her.  She wants to know his answer, and she's hoping that she'll hear him say yes..

The  moonlight transgressed from the stained glass and it illuminated her small fragile face.  And there he saw her tears streamed down from her small eyes. It felt like a knife had stabbed his chest countless of times in every tears that flows in her cheeks. How he wished he could say the words she longs to hear, but he knows it wont do anything good for the both of them. "don't chae.. I.. I don't love you" he tried his best to lie in front of her.  "Liar! " chaerin's voice echoed the whole room.  She pushed jiyong with all her might.  She knows him so well,  she can see it his eyes that the words coming out from his mouth were mere bluffing.  "Don't lie to me!  I know you love me! " she kept punching jiyong's shoulders as her way of begging. Jiyong didn't stop her and just let her do her thing. He knows it's not enough to ease and fix her broken heart. Chaerin felt her energy drained from crying and hurting jiyong, and so,  she fell on her knees. "Chaerin please.. Enough. I'm sorry! " jiyong was able to catch her even before she hits the cold floor.

Now, both of them are sitting on the cold floor.  Jiyong encloses her in his embrace as he tries to hush chaerin from crying. He lets her head rest on his chest as chaerin still drowns from her deep sorrow.

Chaerin couldn't help but to wonder why this is happening to her.  She understands where jiyong is standing, and from that stand point, chaerin has no chance. Jiyong's hands are now tied, and she can't do anything about it, and with this confrontation only proves that his responsibility weighs more than his love for her. Her loud cry slowly turned into soft sobs.  "Why can't you choose me jiyong? "She asked him without even looking at his face. Her sight was pinned on the White floors of the room.

Jiyong fell silentfor a moment. God knows how much he wantto choose chaerin.  But his inner conflict hinders him from doing so. "I don't have a choice.  I have to do this" jiyong brushed her smooth disheveled black hair with his fingers and kissed her forehead gently. The kiss made chaerin even more devastated. "But you always have a choice oppa". She inhales deeply as she finds it difficult to breathe because of her crying. Slowly  she lifted her head from resting and had looked straight in his eyes. " and you chose to hurt me".

Jiyong closed his eyes, and tears started to fall as well from his eyes.  Guilt and anger consumes his whole system as he watch the only person he loves in deep pain. He gazed at her brown eyes and caressed his soaked wet cheeks "I'm sorry hunchae.. Im so sorry " was all he can say.

Chaerin smirked bitterly while tears still flowing from her eyes. All her life she's heard those words and to her vocabulary, sorry is just a less painful way of hurting someone. She shook her head, trying to digest her actions and their current state. "I guess I've lost the battle. It's really hard to win when i know it's your calling that I'm competing with. " she stood, breaking free from his embrace.  Her knees are still week and her vision is blurry, but she has to force herself to leave before she can do anything that she'll regret. She looks at him, trying to force a smile..

"Goodbye jiyong oppa, i wish you well.  I know you'll be a great Priest "
