Solar’s brain stutters for a moment and her eyes take in more light than she expected, every part of her body goes on pause while her thoughts catch up. There stood in front of her was Kim Yongsun, the woman she was modeled after, the original. It was impossible, it couldn’t be possible. Solar stared in awe along with Irene and Byul. Byul was beyond stunned. That’s all she could feel now, trying to remember how to breathe, unable to speak, totally stunned as the name bounces around inside her skull, Kim Yongsun. The scene was quite unbelievable, shocking really. Irene’s mind was sent reeling, unable to comprehend or process the images it was being sent by her eyes. The pain still striking her being. She looked away, then looked back to see if she was still there. She was. 

“This is impossible....... you’re dead”~Byul murmured 

“I find that your process of thinking is quite fallible detective”~Yongsun said smiling at her

“How.....”~Solar questioned

“Lets go for a walk and I’ll explain, Momo!”~Yongsun called out.

Her lackey came in pointing her gun at Byul and Solar. Yongsun walked forth delicately her stride full of elegance and a arrogance to it. Stopping next to Byul and Solar. She activated a switch on the backside of a wristband she wore, the binds that held Solar detached freeing Byul as well.

“You try anything and I’ll have Momo kill your precious little friend over there”~Yongsun said pointing at Irene, Momo smiled as she readied her aim towards the injured Irene.

“Understand?”~Yongsun asked as both of them nodded. 

“Now walk with me”~Yongsun ordered walking towards the door. They reached the other side of the door seeing gleaming walls, swathes of stainless steel, sleek black tiled floor, glare of fluorescent tube lighting suspended from steel rafters, floor to ceiling windows down one wall.  And in the center were giant white containers, all appearing glasslike shining in the sterile light. The laboratory was state of the art and full of stolen materials.

“What’s all this?”~Byul wondered

“This is my laboratory detective”~Yongsun 

“How.....you were reported dead 4 years ago”~Solar asked

“Well Synth, thing is I truly didn’t die all those years ago. I merely faked my death. It was easier than expected. Not even daddy knew I was still alive”~Yongsun said giving hardy chuckle. A woman brought in a sizable lockbox, placing it down onto a nearby table. It was the lockbox from the Byul’s police cruiser and Yongsun smiled at the sight of it.

“Now open it please”~Yongsun requested walking over to the box

“Still haven’t answered why”~Byul said clenching her fist

“My my detective, are you not the most curious little cat”~Yongsun murmured 

“Well let me tell you this, what if you could bring anybody back to life? Huh what if in a snap you could basically bring someone back to a previous state in life? Basically recreate them perfectly”~Yongsun declared to Byul who looked at her confused

“Human Cloning..... that’s what you’re proposing. All the programmable DNA, the stolen resources, and the nitro you use as fuel to keep it all hidden”~Solar said making Yongsun smile

“Oh yes synth that is correct”~Yongsun 

“But that kind of cloning is impossible”~Byul replied to a discerned Yongsun

“Well Detective, it is possible but to a point. I currently can make perfect copies of any person I can get DNA from. The catch is people I make don’t last beyond 12 hours due to the unstable formula of the programmable DNA”~Yongsun

“Then they die of cardiac arrest, fall over dead don’t they”~Solar said, remembering Rosè and the other strange deaths

“You are quick learning, Yes that is correct. The thing is that synth chip belonged to a synth who worked for my father. He himself discovered the stable programmable formula, but died before telling anybody. His synth is the only one who ever knew it besides him......... That’s why I need that chip detective”~Yongsun

“And you let all those people die for it?! Good people, Officers, civilians all killed for what!?”~Solar screamed, the anger boiled deep in her system, as hot as lava. It churned within, hungry for destruction, and she feels like it's too much for her to handle. 

“They were merely collateral damage in all this, what I’m doing is much more noble you synthetic”~Yongsun said snarking at Solar 

“Still doesn’t answer why you resorted to crime for everything”~Byul

“That is easy to explain detective, you see I lost my husband awhile back, you know this.”~Yongsun said 

“Yeah, Eric Nam, he got fired from his position at Nam Incorporated, the grief made him committed suicide”~Byul said making Yongsun angry

“NO HE DID NOT!!!! That’s what everyone thinks, he was murdered. Murdered by the system that led him there”~Yongsun screamed making an echo

“It isn’t fair......... He didn’t deserve any of what he went through, what he deserved was a second chance. A new chance in life but cloning is deemed illegal so I couldn’t continue to do any more research publicly. My father did and thats what led to that police raid that seized all his research”~Yongsun said, a single tear streamed down her face

“And thats when the chip was taken as evidence”~Solar said making Yongsun nod

“Now detective open this lockbox”~Yongsun said growing impatient

“This is wrong, you can’t do this”~Byul 

“Oh I can’t detective, well what if I incentivize you”~Yongsun said walking over to nearby computer. She pressed a few buttons and one of the white containers slowly opened revealing a window.

“I’ve been working on this one especially for you Detective”~Yongsun said motioning towards the window.

“What is this......”~Byul said walking over to the window. Inside looked like a room, a hospital bed lined one side and a sink the other. A woman sat on the edge of the bed, her brown hair long and straight gently rolling over her shoulder. She turned around as Byul froze like a deer in the headlights. Her mind raced so many emotions flooded her almost overwhelming the policewoman. Solar walked over looking at the lady and gasped.

“Byul?! You’re okay!”~Seulgi said staring back
