Lisa's POV: 

Another morning without you beside me once again. I'm guessing you snuck off this morning right?

I'm use to it.

I groaned while stretching my limbs before turning to my side to grab my phone. And seeing the message I smiled slightly,

Nini💓: Good morning babe! Had to get ready for school earlier but I made your lunch before I left. See you later.

Me: see you 😘

I place my phone down and began my usual morning routine.

"Hey Lisa!" I close my locker and turn around to see my best friend Chaeyoung walking towards me. I smile as she makes her way in front of me,

"Hey chipmunk," I greeted. She hooks her arm around mine and squeals in excitement,

"Guess who just asked me to prom?" She asks with the widest smile I had ever seen her have. Happiness was radiating off of her and this time it's not because of her food. I chuckle as we began to walk down the hall,

"Who?" I asked. She beams,

"The one and only Kim Jisoo!" She says while hopping like a kangaroo. I widen my smile and quickly embrace her,

"That's amazing Chae!" I said. Chae has been in love with Jisoo as long as I can remember. So seeing as Jisoo finally grew some courage to ask out my best friend, I felt happy. Happier than this morning. But our celebration had ended abruptly when someone had bumped into us rather roughly. 

"Watch it," Jungkook hisses out. I pull Chae behind me as he tries to take a step forward to us. I narrow my eyes as him and I had a staring battle as if we were daring each other to hit first. But gentle hands had wrapped around his arm to pull him back,

"Babe stop, let's just go," She says as she turns him to face her. She places his hands on his cheek and stares at him calmly. Those feline eyes that always made my heart ache and skip a beat at the same time. He takes a deep breath before turning back to me and pointing at me threateningly,

"Watch yourself Manoban," He says before taking Jennie's hands into his and walking down the hall. Jennie looks over at me with an apologetic look before walking away.

Always walking away.

Chae scoffs and walks around me to face me,

"I still don't understand why you're still with her," she says in disappointment. I watch Jennie's figure disappear down the hall with a heavy heart. I smile sadly and shrug,

"Because I'm a fool."

Have you ever heard of the term 'tainted love?'

It means that the love you have for person is so deep and it feels as if it should last forever, but you know it can't for some unfair complicated reason. 

Well, that's Jennie and I.

I believe our love is tainted.

Although, I want to believe our love is beyond that. I want to believe that it is infinite.

But, sitting here on the other side of the classroom, having to watch her sit so close to her boyfriend and pretend her actual girlfriend is nothing to her, I knew otherwise.

Jennie and I became official just last year but she wanted to keep our relationship a secret. She wasn't ready to come out and she had a reputation to maintain apparently.

I shouldn't have agreed, but being the lovesick fool that I am, I couldn't say no.

But after a year,

She looks like a stranger to me now. 

A stranger that is my love and my savior. While I was just her little secret. 

The jock asked her out just a few months ago and to protect her secret, she said yes.

I don't know how long I can take this anymore. 

"Is there something more important on your mind Miss Manoban? Because if you keep zoning out like that I might actually believe you don't have any interest in my lesson," my teacher scolds. I sit up and rip my eyes off of the clingy couple and force them on my teacher. I shake my head,

"I apologize ma'am, won't happen again," I nervously reassure. My teacher eyes me before huffing and turning back to the board. 

I unconsciously look back over to Jennie to see her already staring at me in concern. She looks down at her phone and begins to type. Not a second later I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I look down,

Nini💓: you okay?

Me: yes.

And before she could type anymore I immediately turn my phone off. I lift my gaze to see her eyebrows furrowed as she stared at my response.

I have never sent a short reply to her before.

"What's going on over there?" Chae says as she points towards the other side of the cafeteria. I look over to see students creating a small crowd around a table. I shrug and continue to eat till Jisoo rushes over to us,

"Jungkook is asking Jennie to prom," and with that I instantly stiffen and drop my food. Without a word Jisoo takes Chaes hand and rushes her over there. I slowly stand up and, with the pain in my chest increasing, walked my way to the crowd.

"Jennie Kim, will you do me the honors and be my date to the prom?" He asks while holding a giant teddy bear and roses. I scoff,

'Jennie doesn't like roses, she likes sun flowers,'

Jennie widens her eyes and not second later, a smile was made on her lips. Please don't. 

"I would love to," She says causing the crowd to cheer and applaud but me. Chae tries to take my hand but I pulled away and pushed my way to the front. I bit back a cry as Jungkook grabbed Jennie's face and captured the lips that were only meant for me to feel. Lips that I tasted just last night.

"Lisa don't," Chae whisper yells as I suddenly stood behind them. I clear my throat causing them to pull apart. Jennie turns around and widens her eyes.

Regret seeps into her eyes while mine was glazed with pain and anger. Jungkook eyes me strangely. 

"What do you want?" He asks coldly. Keeping my eyes on Jennie I sent a tight smile,

"Congratulations," and before she could say anything else, I turned around.

And this time,

I walked away.

I didn't have the strength anymore to read or answer any of her messages. I felt weak and extremely hurt. She told me she was going to be my date. 

Secretly of course.

That was before Jungkook happened.

I chuckle dryly while wiping me tears away as I continued to watch the ceiling fan spin over and over again. But hearing a light tap on my window, I slowly sat up and sighed seeing a familiar silhouette.

I slide off my bed and make it in front of my window. I bit back a small cry seeing as she was staring at me with a soft small. It was as if this whole situation didn't bother her as much as it did to me. I open the window and back up for her to enter,

"Hey," She whispers while delicately wrapping her arms around my waist. I let out a breath before forcing my trembling hands around her shoulders and wresting my chin on her head,

"Hi," I whisper. My heart was beating extremely fast, and it always happens when she's near. I could hear her giggle quietly as she heard it on my chest. She looks up at me with her gummy smile but seeing my pained expression her smile dropped.

"What's wrong Lili?" She asks as she tries to reach up at my cheek but I gently grabbed it and brought it down. I look away from her,

"What're you doing here?" I ask. Her body stiffens as I slowly withdrew myself from her and stepped away. 

"I wanted to see you. You weren't answering my messages or calls," She points out while crossing her arms. I scoff,

"Why do you think?" I coldly ask. She flinches
