"Hello! Welcome to Yangs Diner!" 

Was cheerfully announced as a customer entered the old fashioned diner. I huff tiredly as I continued to wipe down the dirty counter. Why there's so many unnecessary crumbs all over this table? I may never know.

"Some people eat like pigs." I mutter as I walk towards Jisoo who was behind the counter, placing the foods on a tray. She chuckles and hands me the tray of food,

"Speak for yourself Jen. I literally had to vacuum twice last night cause of the mess you made with the popcorn." She states with a teasing eye roll. I chuckle and smile innocently as I grab the tray from her hands.

"Not my fault you decided to play a scary movie." I joke. Chaeyoung giggles as she makes her way back to us with an empty tray.

"That's right Chu. And she wasn't the only one who almost pissed her pants." Chae states, referring the the raven haired girl. Jisoo scoffs and swats her hands dismissively.

"Aish, whatever, go away and give that man his food." She commands. I roll my eyes and playfully send her salute before making my way to the customer.

Us three have been working in this diner for as long as I can remember. It was fun to be able to spend time and work with my best friends but this wasn't my dream.

I wanted to travel and explore the world.

I wanted to be free.

Maybe even with a significant other by my side.

A few hours has passed and business was finally dying down. The diner consisted of an old man drinking coffee by the window and a couple at another booth. I let out breath as I leaned my back against the counter and crossed my arms tiredly. 

"I can really go for a glass of wine right now." I sigh out. Jisoo tightens her pony tail and nods in agreement. 

"That honestly sounds amazing." She states. Chae walks towards us and wraps her arms around Jisoos waist and kisses her temple.

"I'm heading out soon. Are we still having dinner tonight?" She asks. Jisoo smiles brightly with hint of pink in her cheeks and nods her head,

"Yup! Our reservations at 8." She says. Chaeyoung smiles excitedly.

"Sweet!" She cheers. I pout,

"You guys are getting food without me?" I whine. Jisoo playfully rolls her eyes,

"You're not joining in on our date again Kim." She states while wiping off the crumbs on her apron that was tied around her waist. I huff in annoyance while smoothing out my baby blue old fashioned waitress outfit.

"But it's food!" I exclaim. Chaeyoung laughs and shakes her head.

"Get your own significant other! You need to start dating Jen. It's been a year since we left high school and you're still nbsb." She says. I tilt my head and furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"What the hell is nbsb?" I ask. Chaeyoung simply shrugs with a playful smirk,

"Nbsb, No Boyfriend Since Birth." Jisoo bursts out laughing and leans her head on Chaeyoungs shoulder as I scoffed and rolled my eyes with my cheeks hearing up in embarrassment.

"And this is why you're my girlfriend." Jisoo chuckles out. I playfully narrow my eyes,

"Well, for your information, I actually just joined a dating app." I state smugly. The duo gasps and stares at me in disbelief.

"Are you serious? You're actually getting out there?" Jisoo asks. I sharpen my gaze,

"What's with that reaction?" I ask. She chuckles and lifts her hands up in surrender,

"I'm just surprised. You've never really showed any interest when it came to dating. Have you met any guys that fit your criteria?" She asks with Chaeyoung nodding her head in excitement. I sigh,

"Not yet. If I'm going to be honest, I'm terrified." I honestly state. Chaeyoung pouts and walks to my side while draping her arm around my shoulders,

"It's okay to be scared bebe." She coos. Jisoo nods in agreement,

"It's true Jendukie. And you've never dated before so it's normal to feel like that." She adds. I groan in frustration and place my face in my hands,

"I don't think I can do this." I nervously state. I lift my head to see the disappointed looks from my friends. I sigh and pull myself away from the pink haired girls embrace and stood in front of them.

"It's not the idea of dating that I'm afraid of. It's the idea of meeting someone that’d make me feel vulnerable." I state. They remain silent as if they are patiently waiting for me to continue. I take in a deep breath.

"I mean what if I meet a guy and he sees me and completely feels disappointed with who I am or what I look like?" I ask as I began to fiddle with my fingers. I continue,

"What if when he sees me and he runs the other way and I can't hide from the disappointment? What happens then?" I ask fru
