CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Minhee and her niece were off cutting another piece of the cake to eat. 
"Make sure you eat enough baby Chimhee," Minjung said as she gently patted her aunt's belly. 
"Huh? Chimmy?" Minhee chuckled as she looked down at her niece. 
"It's a mix of both your names, I used uncle Jimin's nickname and then combined yours! I thought it would be a cute nickname for the baby too" Minjung chuckled and she kissed Minhee's belly. 
"Thank you my sweet Minjung-ah," Minhee said as she kissed the top of her head. 
"That's a perfect name" Minhee heard a voice, her body froze, tears welled up in her eyes, her eyes slowly turned to where the voice had come from. There he was, standing right in front of her. The love of her life. She stood there as he came up to her, tears in his eyes too. The girl just fell to her knees, while her lover came and embraced her body in his arms. 
Everyone around them witnessed the couple's warm interaction and couldn't help but feel happiness. 
"How did you come in?" Minhee choked on her words as she gasped for air. She reached in to touch his face, she couldn't believe he was there in front of her.
He smiled at her as his eyes filled up with tears, he held them back in. "The boys. You know how they can be." 
She chuckled and embraced him once more. "I missed you so much." She whispered as she pulled him close to her. She smelled his musky cologne that she adored.

"I miss you too." Jimin helped her tightly, afraid that if he let go she was going to disappear. "How is the baby doing?" 
"It's good." She let go of him. "It is doing well." 
"I can see the baby bump." Jimin chuckled as he reached in to touch her belly. 
"Jimin! It has only about thirteen weeks now." Minhee chuckled. "It's barely the beginning of the second trimester." 
"I can't stop imagining the baby." Jimin laughed heartedly. "How are you feeling?" 
"Morning sickness every day." Minhee laughed. "I can't stand certain smells and I been avoiding seafood. I think the baby doesn't like it." 
"But cravings don't start until the fourth month." Jimin reached in to pinch Minhee's cheeks. "You are so silly." 
"Hey!" Minhee pushed his hand away. "I am not a big fan of seafood either." 
Jimin sighed as he watched the beautiful girl in front of him. She looked different and had this motherly feature to her. The way she talked to Minjung and kept her close to her. He wished he could actually spend the rest of his life next to her. He wanted to cry, why was life so cruel?

"How are you doing?" Minhee called out bringing him back to his senses. "I heard my father fired you." 
"Yeah." Jimin sighed. "He did fire me."

"Is there anything I can do?" Minhee questioned as she brought a piece of cake to . "I can get you a job somewhere else." 
"It's okay." Jimin smiled softly. "I got a job offer somewhere else." 
"Really?" Minhee's eyes widened. "Where?" 
"My mom offered me a job," Jimin answered straightforwardly. He didn't want to hide any secrets from Minhee.

Her eyes widened. "Your mom?!?" 
"Yeah." Jimin sighed. "I had no other choice. I applied at different companies and none of them called me. She somehow managed to find my number and voluntarily offered a job. I was hesitant to take it but I need the money and I don't want to see my father working hard again." 
"Does your father know?" Minhee asked. 
"No. I told him that some other company offered me the job." I'm in sighed. "I hate lying to my father." 
"Everything is going to be okay." Minhee sighed. She reached in to place her hand on top of Jimin's "You will get through this. You are strong Jimin." 
"Hello." Hoseok jumped in the room and ran over to Minjung that was devouring a piece of cake. 
"Uncle Hoseok!" Minjung smiled as she brought a piece of cake to his lips. 
"Mmmhmmm." He chuckled and then looked over at the couple. "Am I interrupting something?" 
"No, not at all." Minhee chuckled as she took a bite of her piece of cake. 
"Great." Hoseok laughed. He pulled a chair next to Minhee. "How is the baby doing?" 
"It is doing good." Minhee laughed. 
"I wonder if it is going to be a girl." Hoseok laughed once more. "I can't wait! I am going to have two beautiful nieces." 
"It could be a boy," Namjooon called out as he walked into the room with Yoongi by his side. Minhee's eyes adverted to the beautiful girl standing next to Yoongi. He looked very happy as he held the girl's hand. 
"Minjung," Yoongi called out. 
"Papa!" She moved from her chair and ran up to hug her dad. 
"Minjung." Yoongi embraced his beautiful little girl. "This is my girlfriend, Chanmi." 

Minjung starred at the girl in front of her. She eyed her and then a smile formed. "Is she going to be my momma?" 

Chanmi chuckled nervously. "She is soo cute!" 
Seokjin and Jungmee walked into the kitchen as noticed Minjung running over to Chanmi.l to give her a hug. 
"I sometimes wonder where she gets her sweetness from." Seokjin joked. "Yoongi is way too salty." 
"Hey!" Yoongi voiced out. 
"Uncle Jin!" Minjung ran over to him and Jin pulled her up to hold her. 
"You are so heavy." Seokjin joked as he held Minjung in his arms. 
"But I am cute!" Minjung placed a kiss on his cheek. Everyone around them began to chuckle and laugh at the interaction between them. Seokjin felt a wave of sadness creep in, he was truly going to miss this. He was going to miss the interactions with his friends and his mother. How he wished he could stay here forever with them. 
"Have you received any calls?" Hoseok asked Jungmee. 
"I have not." Jungmee sighed. "Hopefully tomorrow morning." 
Seokjin turned his attention to the girl he loved. It broke him to think of the pain he gave her when he found out he had cancer. He didn't want to tell her what was going on with him. He was afraid at the time and he continued to be afraid. He stares at the girl he loves. She smiled at him but it was different this time. It was not the same. It wasn't the same smile she would give him when he picked her up from school or took her on dates. 
"I am sure you will find out soon." Namjoon patted Jungmee's back as she propped down on a chair.

"Where is Jungkook?" Minhee called out as she looked around. She was worried her father would find Jimin in their house and make a big deal. 
"He was flirting with one of my friends," Namjoon called out. "Don't worry. I think he is too engrossed in a conversation with that girl."

Minhee nodded and kept her attention on Jimin. He started at her with awe. As each day continued to pass he couldn't help but fall in love with her more and more. She looked rather dashing with her beautiful baby doll dress and her curled dark hair. It was growing so much and at this point, it reached to her bottom. Her cheeks were fuller and her eyes were still as sad. He loved her so much. 
"I was thinking..." Seokjin began. "Maybe when Taehyung is out of prison, we can all take a mini-vacation?" 
"I think that would be great!" Namjoon exclaimed. 
"Yeah?" Seokjin smiles. "It's my last wish and I want the last couple of months to be surrounded by the people that I love." He turned to look at Jungmee. She couldn't help it and felt a lump form inside . 
"Yeah." Yoongi began. "I think it would be a good idea." 
"Count me in!" Hoseok threw his hand in the air as tears rolled down his cheeks. 
They suddenly heard a voice. "Me too." They turned their attention to find Jungkook standing right in front of his old friends. "If that is okay with you." 
Although Jungkook hated the idea of having Jimin around Minhee, he wanted Seokjin's last wish to come true. He knew he had to endure it and keep an eye on Minhee. 
"Yeah." Seokjin nodded. "If you want to join us." 
Jungkook smiled back at his old friend. How he missed them all and their old life. 

Jungmee sat alone in the kitchen devouring her breakfast. The party went on for a couple of hours and then everyone went home. 
"Good morning aunt Jungmee," Minjung called out as she pranced into the kitchen. 
"Morning Minjung!" Jungmee smiled as she brought the small girl up into her seat. "What do you want to eat?" 
"Oatmeal!" Minjung babbled out. That was her favorite breakfast. Jungmee fixed up the child's meal and watched as the child ate her meal. 
"Good morning!" Hoseok chirped as he walked into the kitchen. He looked for a quick breakfast and toasted some bread. "Did you guys sleep well?" 
"Yes," Jungmee answered. She was anxious to receive the call. She had been waiting all week and still hadn't found out anything. "I been anxious all week." 
"Don't worry I am sure you will get it." Hoseok informed as he took a bite of his bread.

Suddenly her phone began to ring. 
"Oh my gosh." Jungmee chuckled. "I think that might be them!" 
"Answer!" Hoseok exclaimed loudly. 
Jungmee brought her phone up to her ear. "hello?" 
"Hello. Is this Lee Jungmee?" The women on the other end answered. 
"Yes." Jungmee choked out. She felt her heart beating faster. 
"Great. I just wanted to inform you that Taehyung's case is going to be going for trial in two weeks on that Monday. Is that okay?" The woman on the other end of the phone informed. "We have gathered the information provided and witnesses. We are ready to begin the trial." 
"Yes. That is great." Jungmee sighed. 
"The trial will last either four to five days. It really depends on the judge." The women informed. 

"Yes, I got it." Jungmee nodded. 
"Okay. We will be sending you more information." The women exclaimed. "Have a good day." 
"Thank you, you too." Jungmee hanged up and looked at Hoseok. 
"What did they say?" Hoseok asked. 
"The trail starts in two weeks!" Jungmee smiled. Hoseok walked over to his sister and hugged her tightly. 
"I can't believe this is happening!" She smiled as she held him tighter. 
"Ouch." Hoseok winced in pain. 
"Oh my gosh." Jungmee let go of him. "Are you okay?" She reached in to try to check his arms. Hoseok took a couple of steps back. 
"No no." He shook his head. "I started working ou. I was using weights and my arms hurt." He chuckled darkly. 
"oh okay." Jungmee furrowed her eyebrows. "Since when?"

"I started a couple of days ago." Hoseok lord. "You know how it can be. The first couple of days your body is sore." 
"Right." Jungmee laughed. "I am going to call Minhee and inform her." She grabbed her phone from the counter and walked over to the living room. Hoseok sighed as she walked over to the window in the kitchen. He waited until he was alone to pull his sleeves up. There they were, fresh cuts and purple bruises engraved on his skin. He could tell them the truth but he was scared of it. 
"That is amazing." Minhee smiled brightly as she paced around the living room of her new home. Jungkook's parents had purchased them a huge house as their wedding gift. 
Jungkook walked into the living room, he kept his gaze on Minhee. 
"I am so proud of you." Minhee smiled as she looked out the huge window. It had a view of the front lawn of the house and the tall gates that surrounded their huge home. 
Jungkook took casual steps towards the girl and maintained a distance from her. 

"Okay see you later. Love you." Minhee ended the phone call and turned to stare at Jungkook. "That was Jungmee. She got the date for the first day of the trial." 
"When is it?" Jungkook asked. Even though he had separated from the boys, he was closest to Taehyung. Taehyung was his best friend and they always got along. They never bickered over a girl and had known each other since they were in grade school. He wanted Taehyung to be out of prison already. He needed his best friend. 
"In two weeks." Minhee smiled. "The trial will last a week. They received all the evidence and are working to build it up. Can you believe Taehyung will be a free man soon?" 
"Yeah." Jungkook smiled. "I am so happy." 
"Yeah." Minhee's voice fell an octave. She was happy for Taehyung but a wave of sadness hit her. She realized that despite his freedom, Jungmee wasn't going to end up with him. She was going to be married to some Park guy. 
"What are your plans for today?" Jungkook asked, bringing Minhee back to her senses.

"Nothing." Minhee sighed. "I haven't been feeling very well and I can't stand certain smells." 
"Oh okay." Jungkook cleared his throat. He wanted to ask her if she wanted to have lunch with her later. "Did
