An (imaginary) ear-piercing siren blares within Kim Dahyun’s mind.
She somehow turns paler than her original skin tone, now looking like Toshio from The Grudge.
Yet, instead of being a ghost who scares the living crap out of others, she’s the one who’s losing all of her sh*t.
Because there laying before her eyes is an unconscious student, her uniform shirt decorated with a gigantic red stain around her abdomen.
From her perspective, Son Chaeyoung can’t see what Dahyun has spotted.
She’s straight up judging her best friend for her weird behaviour, but that soon changes when she decides to take a peek for herself.
The instant she witnesses the violent-looking blotch, she transforms into a marble statue as her entire body freezes in place, traumatised.
Still observing from a distance, Myoui Mina is unfortunately left to be confused all by herself.
She has no clue to why her tour guides are buffering in real life, though a part of her doesn’t really want to know.
To her dismay, there’s nothing much she can do without the girls’ lead, hence she ultimately makes her way closer towards their sides.
“Is everything alri… oh.”
It’s safe to say that none of them have ever imagined themselves in such a situation.
Heck, the two shorties were still processing the fact that they’re hanging out with a real-life princess.
They didn’t even sign themselves up to be a tour guide, let alone involve themselves in some murder shenanigans.
Before their student council president had reached out to them about the favour, Chaeyoung thought this was going to be another ordinary evening.
She thought she’d simply head home and act like a lazy bum, putting off her homework until the very last minute.
She’d be laying on her sofa right now, scrolling through social media and ignoring all her responsibilities.
But here she is instead, stuck in a trance alongside of her bestie.
Neither of them dared to move a muscle, nor do they know what to do next.
“P-Police.” Dahyun finally breaks their long silence, reassuring Mina as she couldn’t tell if they were still breathing or not. “We should call the police!”
“S-Shouldn’t we inform a school staff first?” Chaeyoung responds after Dahyun’s voice snaps her out it, merely gaining a frown back.
“Dude wha- time is crucial right now! What if she doesn’t make it because of that extra step?!”
“But what if we’re just overreacting? To involve the police without knowing what the bloody hell’s going on ourselves sounds pretty mad stupi- WOAH HEY NOW PRINCESS, W-W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!”
Scared by Chaeyoung’s sudden raise in volume, Dahyun involuntarily joins in with a scream of her own.
The trigger of their abrupt screamo-duet is Mina, who placed one hand on the unconscious one’s neck while the other hovered below the girl’s nostrils.
Why the tour guides screamed remains unknown to her.
“Can you not increase my anxiety level over here?! I’m this close to passing out and then you’ll have to deal with two bodies!” Dahyun cries as she pats her own chest. “I swear to God my life span shortens whenever we’re together, and Jihyo-unnie was dead wrong for putting her trust in us…”
“B-But she touched the body!” Chaeyoung splutters while Mina retracts both of her hands, the princess blinking back at her innocently.
“I was merely checking for her pulse and breathing.” the Japanese female explains ever so calmly, her first aid lessons finally coming in handy. “Her condition’s actually stable, so there’s no need to worry. She’s most likely experiencing her 4th stage of slumber, which makes it difficult to awake her.”
Honestly, the timid princess is surprised that she got to use her first-aid knowledge within her lifetime.
Living in a well-maintained, intensively-guarded mansion, she never experienced any inconveniences, let alone emergencies.
Oh, and her knowledge on the human sleep cycle was actually self-learnt through the mixture of pure curiosity and some extra time.
The commoners, on the other hand, can’t help but to panic.
All they’ve learnt in school is basic CPR and how to evacuate from a building when there’s a fire or an earthquake.
How were they supposed to know what to do when they come across a body?
“S-Still, you shouldn’t just touch her…” the cub exclaims frantically, “What if you leave your fingerprint on her skin and the police uses that as evidence to throw your in jail? They won’t even think
