The next morning

Jisoo's POV

"Sooya wakey wakey! Rise and shine" My mother chirped happily early in the morning

"Go away" I groaned and took my pillow to cover my ears from my human alarm and tried to go back to sleep

"Your first official classes for the year starts today. I'm sure you don't want your little to be late for class and get detention by the lecturer right?" She said as she jumped on top of me and stretched her entire body

"Ah! Ah! I can't breathe!" I barely managed to cough those words out as I tried to push my mother away from me

"If I get off, will you get out of bed and get ready for classes?"

"Yes yes, please get off me now" I begged

As soon as my mother stood up from the bed, I made a beeline for the washroom to make sure that she wouldn't attempt to 'kill' me again

I soon washed up and got dressed before making my way down to the dining room to have breakfast

What should I have for lunch later with Chaeyoung and Lisa? Plus her friends I guess? I hope there will be chicken

I was thinking about lunch even before I ate breakfast when I saw my father sitting at his usual seat at the dining table

"Morning dad..." I greeted him quietly

After the events from last night, he was the last person I wanted to see today morning as I had felt that things had gotten a little awkward between us. Yes we used to have some small little arguments every now and then, but yesterday's one seemed to be different

"Good morning" He said without looking up at me

He is mad

I looked at him anxiously and took my seat at his left hesitantly. The chef served me my breakfast and I thanked him before eating in silence. I was looking at my mother who was sitting opposite from me, and I used my eyes to 'beg' her to break this silence

"So Sooya, nervous for school today?" My mother asked

"It's ok I guess... What are you doing today mum?" I asked her back and took a bite out of my scrambled eggs

"I'll be meeting the Mrs Park for lunch later. We haven't seen each other in a long time so we have lots of catching up to do" My mother smiled and took out her phone

As Chaeyoung and I had been friends since we were 14 years old, our parents had met one another and they all became close friends really quickly. My mother and Auntie Bom were especially good friends as they were both housewives and always had lots of free time on hand, which causes them to get bored and meet each other to occupy themsleves

I took my phone out and texted my mother

Jisoo:

Mum! Stop using your phone and help me get dad to talk to me again!

Childish Little Mum:

You try and talk to him, I'm busy

Jisoo:

What do you mean busy? I need your help

Childish Little Mum:

Soo, you can do this! Fighting!

I looked up and stared at my mother in disbelief. Did she just leave me alone to die from this awkward silence and tense atmosphere I had with my father?

I gulped and took a deep breath and counted to 10 in my head

"...Dad do you have any plans for today?" I asked him and looked at him

"..." He replied me with silence

I guess he is still mad at me

I pouted my lips and continued poking my toast bread to 'death' with my fork

"Are you trying to murder the innocent bread?" My father spoke up and looked at me

"No... I'm sorry dad for last night..." I apologised for the way I spoke to him and how I got mad at him

"It's not your fault Soo. I was partly to blame and I'm sorry too" He seemed guilty and his eyes softened at me

"Dad..." I stood up and went to give him a hug which he returned

"I don't mean to spoil the moment you both have right now, but Sooya you are actually 10minutes later than usual" My mother broke the sweet moment I shared with my father 

I looked down at my phone and saw the time. It was 9.40am and I was supposed to leave my house at 9am to pick Chaeyoung up

"Oh crap mum! Why did you only tell me after so long" I grumbled while I ran to grab my bag and wore my shoes

"Sorry! I was looking at some videos about puppies and they were just so cute you know!"

I sighed and opened the door "See you later mum and dad!" I shouted and dashed out of the house towards my car

I got in the car and quickly stepped on the gas to fast and furious my way to Chaeyoung's house

What would have took me 15minutes took 10minutes today. I saw Chaeyoung already standing outside of the house and I pressed my brakes quickly and I came to an immediate stop just beside her

She came entered the car and buckled up her seat belt

"Yah Jisoo, you were even later than yesterday! And why were you driving so quickly? Were you trying to hit me on purpose and pretend that it was just an accident because you couldn't control your car?" Chaeyoung jokingly said and she hit me playfully with her arm

"I was late because I was busy talking to my parents this morning" I replied her quickly as I was concentrating on driving safely

We had a few small talk before Chaeyoung dozed off to sleep. 30minutes later, I pulled into the campus parking lot and I woke Chaeyoung up

"Chaeng, wake up we have arrived" I shook her body slightly

"Mm... Stop it..." She said while still asleep

"Chaeng" I shook her more vigorously this time round

"I hate avocados!!" She yelled and opened her eyes

She looked around and realised that she had been dreaming just now and her face blushed slightly from the embarrassment

"Yes yes I know you hate avocados... Let's get out of the car now avocacheng!" I said playfully and got out of the car quickly as I was afraid of being hit by the beast

"Yah Kim Jisoo!" She chased me and we played merry go round around my car

There were people around us looking at us and also whispering, but I paid no attention to them and continued running away. I finally stopped when I felt my phone vibrate which caused Chaeyoung to catch me and beat me up

Lalisa:

Are you guys in school yet? We are at the canteen already

Jisoo:

Oops yep we are! Will be there in a few minutes

I replied Lisa and told Chaeyoung. We speed walked to the canteen, which turned out to be a competition to see who could reach there first

Obviously, I lost because my legs were shorter than Chaeyoung and she laughed at me for being short

We entered the canteen and looked around to find Lisa which we were able to spot her quickly because of her blonde hair that attracts a lot of attention

We took a seat opposite from Lisa and her friend

"Jisoo meet Nayeon. Nayeon meet Jisoo" Lisa introduced me to her friend and we both exchanged greetings

Crap! Wasn't this the girl that was with Lisa yesterday at the club sign-ups?

"So... You are?" Lisa asked Chaeyoung

"Oh! Lisa meet Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung meet Limario" I introduced the both of them when I finally snap out from my thoughts

"Nice to meet you" Chaeyoung and Nayeon said hi to one another as we did not introduce them

We all put our bags down at the table to 'reserve' it and went to buy some food tog
