Jennie's POV

I ran for what felt like a marathon and saw my father. He was smiling from ear to ear with his arms opened wide, inviting me in for a hug. "Aw princess, you missed me so much? Give me a hug" He teasingly said as I was charging towards him like a bull. My mother was a few feet behind from my father and she was turning red at how embarrassingmy father was

Normally, I would have been embarrassed by how he displays his affection and calls me princess in public by playfully hitting him. But today, what he got from me was a cap slap. A literal cap slap as I took off my Adidas cap and shoved it in his face. "MMmmm...? Mmm?"

While still being covered and suffocated by my cap, I took both my parent's hands and led them away from the café. "Is this a new way of greeting your customers? I never heard of this before, have you honey?"

"Mum wouldn't have heard of it before because this new greeting was implemented just seconds ago! Now follow me before we all get killed!"

"What do you mean? Am I killing you with embarrassment?"

I brought them to the bus stop and sat them down on the benches. I told them about why I ran like a mad dog and who was the cause behind it. They both, especially my father's eye had gone wide and their mouth open

"You guys should really go home now. He still hasn't seen you both so everything should be fine" I said as I saw a bus approaching. "Jennie... You should go home with us too. Hell we should even pack our luggages and leave this country this very instant"

"Dad you know I can't just leave work for no good reason. And I love this country, the food, the people here... Okay not all but most and I just want to stay here"

"Jen it's not safe. We can't protect you, we can't lose you" My mother said with tears threatening to fall from her eyes. "You won't lose me, I'll be fine. Go now, the bus won't wait for you forever"

I pushed them both on the bus and my father turned back to me. "If anything happens, tell Seunghyun to call me, I'll be there to save you." He gave me a hug before earning an irritated sigh from the bus driver. "Love you 3000" I said before breaking the hug and walking back towards the cafe

My break was ending in 5 minutes and I speed walked back to the café. I felt my phone buzz and unlocked it to see a text message

Dad:

What does "Love you 3000" mean?

Jendeuk:

Ironman's daughter said it to him in the latest Avenger's movie

Dad:

That's so sweet princess. I knew you always loved me so much more than your mother

Jendeuk:

... Just saying... Ironman dies

Dad:

WHAT? Are you trying to tell me that I'm going to die?!

Jendeuk:

No... That's just a movie, nothing will happen to us

Gotta go already, just reach the café

I pushed open the doors to the café and headed back to the table I was at for lunch. My food was still half-eaten and the customers next to my table are still there. I walked with my head down low and felt stares from Seunghyun and Seungri pierceing through my skin

Quickly, I took my plate of food and brought it back into the kitchen before coming out with a cloth to clean the table

"Excuse me Miss... Why were you rushing out of the café out of the blue just now?" Seungri suddenly spoke up and I jumped up from my spot slightly

"Oh I uhm... I saw..." I was looking at everything around us to come up with a lie. "A tiger!" I immediately rolled my eyes as soon as the words left my mouth. There was this kid in the café looking at videos of tigers in the zoo and my mouth just decided to say the first thing I saw"

"A tiger?" Seungri looked at me in disbelief and I could see Seunghyun looking at me suspiciously

"I meant to say the cousin of a tiger. Like the younger cousin... You know, a cat" I smiled at the weakly and hope that they would just buy whatever lie I'm feeding them right now. We were looking at each other and I took this opportunity to scan both of their faces

One thing I forgot was that they were also doing the same, scanning my face. "You had a cap on earlier so I couldn't see your face but aren't you Jisoo's friend? Jero? You came over to my house before" Seunghyun finally asked me something after looking at me so intently

"Ah yes, hello Mr Kim. I'm Je- Jane by the way" I bow them slightly in a form of respect and cursed myself for forgetting to grab my cap back from my father. "Oh Jane, I didn't know you were working here"

"Haha... I didn't know you were eating here too..." Silence filled the air and I took this as a chance to escape from an further interrogation by the man that was threatening to kill my family earlier on. I went back into the staff's room and sat down there to clear my thoughts and to think about what's to come
