Third Person POV

Flashback

There were 3 little kids who were not so little anymore. They were about 12years old when they met each other. Upon the first meeting, the 3 of them felt a connection with one another and they immediately bonded and became really good friends quickly

Among the 3, two of them were rather outspoken and friendly while the other one remained reserved and awkward around strangers. Nonetheless, that didn't stop the introvert from the blossoming friendship with the other two

It might be because of the quiet nature of the introvert paired along with a beautiful face which earned her many admirers and confessions but also led her to an endless suffering

Knowing very well how Irene keeps to herself, Jisoo and Seulgi were determined to protect her in their own ways. The 3 always stuck to each other like glue and they were soon known as the 'Three Little Musketeers'

After witnessing a love confession turned horrible and how the guy was spitting gibberish right and taunting Irene on the spot after the rejection, the other two immediately got out of their hiding spot and ran to aid their friend

Being a gentle, caring and kind girl Irene was, she didn't stop the guy from throwing those insults at her but instead, she was breaking down in tears from feeling bad about rejecting the guy

He was taking steps towards her and she was moving back with every step he took. Tears were obscuring her vision which might everything infront of her look like a blur but she could see the anger planted on the face of the rejected guy

His hands were reaching out for her shoulders and she clenched her eyes tight, waiting for what was about to come next. She felt someone touching her but she also heard a shout in pain. Irene opened her eyes to see how Seulgi was twisting his arm and Jisoo was putting her arms over her to give her a sense of reassurance

The guy was begging Seulgi to release his arms and she only agreed to when she made the guy promise to not get any closer to Irene from now on. The two quickly went to Irene to check if she was alright and quickly pulled her into an embrace. Seeing the tears flow from Irene's face hurt both Jisoo and Seulgi as the two always treated Irene like the baby

When the tears from Irene stopped, Seulgi was the first to speak. "We will always be here for each other okay? Let's promise that no matter what happens, we will have each other's backs" With that sentence, we all raised our pinkys and pinky promised each other

Jisoo's POV

It had been a week since the encounter in the toilet with Seulgi. I had been hanging out with the girls as usual but I distanced myself from them slightly. I had about 20 unread messages I couldn't bring myself to open and my heart hurts slightly from ignoring them. The 20 unread text messages were from Jennie

For the past week, even though we were in the same class and in the same group for a project, I had been trying all ways to avoid her. The only time we spoke was when she asked me a question while we were discussing the group project together. Apart from that, I didn't respond to her when she had called out my name when she saw me in the hallways

"Jisoo!" The voice that I had been wanting to hear every single day called out to me. I knew who the owner of the voice belonged to even without turning my head. Her sweet voice had been embedded in my head and I can never forget how it sounds like

"Jisoo! Wait!" I quicken my pace and broke into a sprint after hearing her call out to me again. Within no time, I reached the school's parking lot and I got into my car. I looked out of the passenger's window and I saw a out of breath Jennie running towards me with all her might. I was staring at her for a few seconds before she was a few feet away from my car

Seeing how she was about to reach me, I quickly looked away and started the engine. I took one last glance at her and drove out of the parking lot and I saw her still chasing after my car from the rear view mirror. At the speed I was going at, she quickly became a small dot on the rear view mirror until I couldn't see her anymore

My eyes were on the road ahead of me but my mind was wandering else where, thinking about the cat that had been chasing me moments ago. I was about to drive home when I had the sudden urge to go to my favourite spot to rest and clear
