It started out as plain curiosity.

When the five year old Kim Jongdae of House Kim tumbled through the garden fence of the newly built Kim Manor he was enthralled by the boy from the meadows, the red haired boy whose eyes shines like the stars in the night sky. It was the first time Jongdae has ever seen another child other than his reflection through the mirrors in his parent’s mansion.

He had never seen another child as he was never allowed to step out of his family’s mansion. Still a little bit intimidated yet awed by the other red-haired boy, Jongdae hid under the wild, overgrown berry bushes, shying away from the read head’s view. 

He was awed and confused at the same time, are not all children the same? Why is the boy in the meadows was not dressed in the manner that he is? Where Jongdae wears the finest silks and fabrics the boy was dressed in rags, where jongdae's feet are covered with warm footwear, the boy was barefooted. They were both little boys, young children but they were so much different from each other.

Jongdae could not have waited anymore, just as they said, curiosity killed the cat, he was too curious of this boy in the meadows. 

Without so much of a thought Jongdae rid himself of his hiding spot and as soon as the boy meets Jongdae's eyes,

He ran away.
