You laid on your boyfriend’s bed as you watched him play video games. You two had been officially ‘dating’ for about a month after he had confessed to you in this very room. Yet, you have never went on an actual date with him. Whenever he was free you two would just chill in his room, you were okay with that, but part of you wanted to go out; to let people see you two as a couple. 

You sighed and sat up looking at Jungkook’s back as he gamed. You crawled over to him and wrapped your arms around him and resting your head on his shoulder. 

“Y/n what’s up?” He asked while not taking his eyes away from the screen. 

“I want your attention,” You pouted. “Maybe some affection too.” 

He had just won the round after you said this allowing him to give you a quick peck on this lips. “Done and done.” 

The fact that he seemed proud with himself for doing that made you a little upset. This boy who you had known since you were kids, this boy who told you he had loved you for years, was still acting if you guys were friends. 

“Kookieeeee,” You whined. “Let’s go on a date. Actually do something outside. All we do is sit in your room like we always do.” 

“Hm, do you not like doing this?” Jungkook asked almost hurt.

You sighed. “No, that’s not it. I like hanging with you because it’s with you and not what we do. But, we’ve been dating for like a month, and never went on an actual date. It’s starting to make me feel like you don’t want people to see that we’re together.” 

You looked down after you said that, that’s how you had been feeling for a week now, and you just weren’t sure how to tell him. 

“No, Y/n,” Jungkook said, cupping your face his his hands and lifting it up to look at him. “I want people to see that we are together, that you are my girlfriend, and to know that you are the one I love. I’m sorry I didn’t realize you felt like this. I guess I’m still not use to us dating yet. It almost doesn’t feel real, like it’s just some dream, that I’ll wake up from at any minute.” 

“It’s taking me some time to get use to it to. But, I want to do couple things with you or else we might as well still be friends.” 

He caressed you cheeks with his thumbs. “You’re right, baby. How about I take you out for lunch tomorrow? Does that sound good?”

“You and food. Sounds perfect.” You said with a giggle. 

He gave you his bunny smile and kissed you on the cheek. Then you resumed to your chill afternoon.

Jungkook picked you up from your place and took you to this little dinner you have never been to before. He had heard it was a good place that couples typically went to and decided to try it with you. He held the door open for you and even pulled out your chair for you to sit. 

“Oh what a gentleman you are today.” You said smiling at him. 

“Only for you.” He said as he sat across from you. 

The two of you ordered and then talked about random stuff while you waited. When your food arrived you both digged in. 

“Oh this is good.” You said. “How’s yours?” 

“Delicious. You want to try?” Jungkook asked. 

“Oh sure.” You said nodding your head. 

“Okay, say ‘ah’” Jungkook said bring his fork to you.

“Oh, ah” You said as your face got hot; you weren’t expecting him to feed you. 

“Oh so cute!” An elderly woman who was out with her husband said. “Young love.” 

“Aha, thank you.” You said feeling embarrassed. 

“Hopefully not for long.” You heard Jungkook say softly. 

You furrowed your eyebrows. “What do you mean by that? You gonna break up with me soon?” 

“What? No! Of course not!” Jungkook said flustered; his face becoming pink. “I meant that hopefully it turns into just love or tender love? You know, like, I plan to love you for a very long time.” 

You melted when you heard those words. “Awe, Kookie!” You leaned over and kissed him. “I also plan to love you for a long time.” After lunch you two took a romantic walk in the park, admiring the flowers and water. Jungkook even took a sneaky candid photo of you and set it as his background on his phone. He thought you looked beautiful, but was too embarrassed to show you the picture. (You saw it eventually though and thought it was cute that his background was you). You were happy to finally have a real date with your boyfriend. You were content and didn’t mind if you two just chilled in his room and played video games for awhile before going out again. (You would be damned if you two never went out again).
